Abrar Ahmed is joint third in the ICC T20I bowling rankings on 695, down from 718. Salman Mirza is 14th and Mohammad Nawaz 18th. See the table and how to check.

Abrar Ahmed has fallen to joint third in the ICC men's T20I bowling rankings, level with England's Adil Rashid on 695 points. Rashid Khan of Afghanistan leads on 720 and Australia's Adam Zampa is second on 700. A week ago Abrar was second on 718.
We opened the ICC's T20I bowling table on 14 October 2026. Its rank date is 13 October, the day the T20I series against Sri Lanka ended. Every rating and position below comes from that page.
Abrar is joint third on 695, 25 points behind Rashid Khan
Abrar shares third place with Adil Rashid on 695. Rashid Khan is first on 720. Adam Zampa is second on 700. So Abrar is 25 points off the top and 5 points off second place.
| Rank | Bowler | Team | Rating |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Rashid Khan | Afghanistan | 720 |
| 2 | Adam Zampa | Australia | 700 |
| 3 (joint) | Adil Rashid | England | 695 |
| 3 (joint) | Abrar Ahmed | Pakistan | 695 |
| 5 | Nathan Ellis | Australia | 675 |

The race is tight. Five points separate second place from joint third. A few overs in the next T20I can reorder the top four.
He lost 23 points in a week, from 718 to 695
In the table dated 6 October, Abrar was second on 718, just 2 points behind Rashid Khan, as we reported in our story on Abrar Ahmed's T20I bowling ranking. Now he is on 695. That is a fall of 23 points and one place.
The ICC page does not say why. It shows only the new rating and a small number beside the position for movement. We have not guessed at a reason. Ratings move with every match a bowler plays, and the ICC says the match situation is part of the calculation.
His career best is 757, set against the Netherlands in Colombo in 2026, according to the same ICC table. So he is 62 points below his own peak today.
The scale helps here. The ICC rates players from 0 to 1000, and its FAQ says 750 or more is normally enough to sit in the world top ten. Abrar is under that line today, yet he still ranks third among all T20I bowlers. That tells you how low the whole bowling table runs. Rashid Khan, the leader, is on 720.
Salman Mirza jumps nine places to 14th
Salman Mirza is the biggest Pakistani mover. He is 14th on 635, up nine places in one update. The ICC lists his best rating as 645, set against Namibia in Colombo in 2026. So he is 10 points short of his own best.
Mohammad Nawaz is 18th on 626, up six places. His best rating on the ICC page is 672, also against Namibia at Colombo. Muhammad Imran Randhawa took 3 for 11 in the series, as our report on Randhawa's 3 for 11 against Sri Lanka explains, but he does not appear in the top 20 rows we read.
| Pakistan bowler | Rank | Rating | Career best |
|---|---|---|---|
| Abrar Ahmed | 3 (joint) | 695 | 757 |
| Salman Mirza | 14 | 635 | 645 |
| Mohammad Nawaz | 18 | 626 | 672 |

Three Pakistan bowlers in a top 20 is a fair showing for a side that is sixth in the team table. It also shows how thin the margins are. Mirza is only 2 points behind the three bowlers who share 11th place on 637, so a single good spell can move him several places.
How to read a joint position on the ICC table
A joint position means two players have the same rating. The ICC shows both at the same rank and then skips the next number. So Abrar and Adil Rashid are both third, and the next bowler is fifth, not fourth.
- Open icc-cricket.com and choose Rankings.
- Pick Men's, then Player Rankings, then T20I and Bowling.
- Read the rank date above the table.
- Find the bowler and compare the rating with the best rating in the last column.
- Look for the small number beside the rank, which shows places gained or lost.

How we verified this
What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.
Last checked 14 October 2026. Ratings, positions and best ratings come from the ICC's men's T20I bowling rankings page at icc-cricket.com, rank date 13 October 2026. The 718 figure and the 23 September No. 1 claim come from our earlier report. We could not open the PCB's own site, which blocked our request, so the 23 September PCB announcement is not re-checked. The ICC explains its method on its About the rankings page.
