These Terms govern your use of pakera.pk. By reading, subscribing or otherwise using the site, you accept them. If you do not, please stop using the site.

Who these terms are with

Pakistan Era is published through pakera.pk and is operated by Umer Kureshi as administrator of the publication.

Throughout this page, "we", "us", "our" and "the publication" mean Pakistan Era, published through pakera.pk. "You" means anyone using the site. Where an earlier version referred to "the Company" or "the Website", it meant the same publication.

Newsletter subscriptions

Pakera.pk may provide free newsletters, alerts and publication updates. Newsletter frequency may vary depending on editorial activity and important developments.

By subscribing, you confirm that the email address provided belongs to you or that you are authorised to use it. You may unsubscribe at any time through the link included in our emails.

We may modify, suspend or discontinue a newsletter or reader engagement feature at any time. Subscribing does not guarantee that every article, alert or update will be delivered.

Intellectual property

Unless otherwise stated, the articles, graphics, branding, website design and original materials published on Pakera.pk are owned by or licensed to Pakistan Era. Content may not be copied, republished, commercially distributed or modified without prior permission, except where permitted by applicable law.

Quoting a short extract with a visible link back to the original article is fine and we welcome it. Reproducing a whole piece, republishing our graphics, or presenting our work as your own is not.

If you want to use something, write to info@pakera.pk and ask. We usually say yes.

Acceptable use

Users must not misuse the website, attempt unauthorised access, submit false information, interfere with website operation, distribute malicious software or use Pakera.pk content for unlawful purposes.

In practice that means:

• Do not attempt to access parts of the site, servers or accounts you have not been given access to.
• Do not submit someone else's email address to our newsletter or contact form.
• Do not scrape, overload or automate against the site in a way that degrades it for other readers.
• Do not upload or transmit anything malicious through any form on the site.

Information is published in good faith

Content published on Pakera.pk is provided for general informational and editorial purposes. While reasonable efforts are made to maintain accuracy, we do not guarantee that every article is complete, error free or continuously up to date.

This matters most with prices, taxes, government rules and product specifications, all of which change frequently in Pakistan. Where we publish a figure, we say where it came from and when. Before acting on anything financial or legal, check the official source, and where an article names one, use it.

If you find something wrong, tell us at info@pakera.pk and we will correct it.

Corrections, removals and right of reply

Everything on Pakera.pk is published as information and comment. It is not an accusation against any person, company or community, and where an article names someone it is because the story is about them.

We still get things wrong, and sources we relied on sometimes turn out to be wrong. If something we published is inaccurate, out of date, unfair to you, or you consider it hateful or offensive, tell us. Use the contact form or write to info@pakera.pk. Include the link to the article and say what is wrong with it.

What happens next:

1. We read your message and check the claim against the source we used.
2. If it is wrong, we correct it and note the correction on the article rather than editing quietly.
3. If it should not have been published at all, we take it down.
4. If you are the subject of an article and disagree with something we stand behind, we will carry your response alongside it.
5. We reply either way, so you know what was decided and why.

We do not publish material intended to demean or incite hatred against any person, community, religion, ethnicity or belief. If you believe something here does, report it to the same address and say so plainly. Content reported on those grounds comes down while we review it, rather than staying up until we finish.

Third party links

We link to other websites, including official portals, manufacturers and news sources. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, accuracy or privacy practices.

A link is not an endorsement. It is a pointer to where information came from, which we consider a duty rather than a recommendation.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Pakistan Era is not liable for loss or damage arising from your use of the site or reliance on anything published here, including indirect or consequential loss.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability where the law does not allow it to be limited.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan. Any dispute arising from the use of Pakera.pk will be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts in Lahore, Pakistan, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

Changes to these terms

We may revise these Terms. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it.
