We read these times and fares on the official Pakistan Railways booking system on 2 November 2026, for trains on 3 and 5 November. The Karachi departure is ten minutes earlier than the 07:30 the same system showed in early October, and the Rawalpindi and Peshawar arrivals are half an hour earlier. If you saved an old timetable, update it. Below are all 60 stops, fares by class and how the train compares with Khyber Mail on the same route.
Awam Express takes 33 hours 40 minutes from Karachi to Peshawar
The 13UP covers 1,725 km. The 14DN takes 34 hours 55 minutes back. Awam is a daytime starter in both directions, so you board in the morning and arrive on the following afternoon or evening.
| Train | Leaves | Lahore | Rawalpindi | Arrives |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 13UP, Karachi to Peshawar | Karachi Cantt 07:20 | 06:50 to 07:25, day 2 | 12:50 to 13:15, day 2 | Peshawar Cantt 17:00, day 2 |

Awam Express fares start at Rs 1,250
Awam carries three classes: Economy, AC Standard and AC Business. There is no AC Sleeper. These are the booking system prices for 5 November 2026.
| Class | Karachi to Rawalpindi | Lahore to Rawalpindi |
|---|---|---|

| AC Standard berth | Rs 10,750 | Rs 2,300 |
| AC Business | Rs 12,300 | Rs 2,800 |
These prices match Khyber Mail class for class. The difference is the clock and the sleeper. Awam leaves Karachi in the morning and has no AC Sleeper. Khyber Mail leaves at 22:15 and has one. Awam also stops at about 16 more stations, which is why it is popular with people from smaller towns such as Dour, Ranipur, Dina and Hasan Abdal.

What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.
Last checked 2 November 2026, about 22:45 PKT. We read the 13UP and 14DN times, stops and fares on the Pakistan Railways booking system at pakrailways.gov.pk for 3 and 5 November 2026. The early October times come from our own reading of the same system on 27 September 2026. We found no public notice of the timing change on pakrail.gov.pk. Half fare, refund, luggage and catering rules come from the Pakistan Railways terms and FAQ, read the same night. We did not travel on the train and could not check live running.
