Bahrain Visa Check Online for Pakistanis: Application Status, Second Payment and Lost Reference Fix
Check a Bahrain visa on evisa.gov.bh with passport number, nationality, birth date and reference number. Pay the second fee and fix a lost reference number.

To check a Bahrain visa online, open evisa.gov.bh, choose Check Application Status, and enter your passport number, nationality, date of birth and the Application Reference Number you got when you applied. The same four details also open the Pay for Application screen, because Bahrain now charges in two parts: an application fee first, and the visa fee only after approval.
Pakistan is on Bahrain's list of countries that can apply for a visa online, so a Pakistani passport holder can use the portal directly. Below are the status check, the second payment, the fixes for a lost reference number, and the contacts at Bahrain's Nationality, Passport and Residence Affairs (NPRA). We read the eligible country list, the FAQ, the visa process page and both forms on 28 October 2026.
Pakistan is on Bahrain's online visa list, with terms attached
Bahrain's eVisa site lists Pakistan as entry 114 under Countries Eligible to Get Visa Online. A note says terms and conditions apply, and the exact visa types, stay and fee appear only inside the application once you choose your country and visa type.
That second part matters. The pages we read do not publish a fee table in Bahraini dinars. The FAQ only says a processing fee is charged and is not refunded if the visa is refused. So check the amount on the payment screen itself, not on an agent's price list.
A visit visa and a work permit are different things. A job in Bahrain runs through the employer and the labour authority, which is covered under the Bahrain work visa from Pakistan rules, not through this tourist portal.
The Bahrain visa check needs four details from your passport
The Check Application Status form asks for the passport number, the nationality, the date of birth in three dropdowns, and the Application Reference Number. The page says to enter the passport data exactly as it appears in your passport, so spelling and dates must match.
| Bahrain eVisa screen | Fields it asks for | Use it when |
|---|---|---|
| Check Application Status | Passport number, nationality, date of birth, reference number | You applied and want the decision |
| Pay for Application | The same four, plus a picture code | Your visa is approved and the second payment is due |
| Visa Data Correction | Your pending application | You spot a mistake before a decision |
| Visa Extension | Through the Bahrain.bh portal | You are in Bahrain and need more days |

How to check your Bahrain visa and make the second payment
Expect a decision in about 3 to 5 working days, according to the NPRA FAQ. NPRA emails you when the application is approved, and only then does the second payment open. You print the visa yourself, since nothing is stamped in the passport before you arrive.
- Open evisa.gov.bh and accept the disclaimer.
- Choose Check Application Status from the Visa Services menu.
- Enter your passport number, choose Pakistan, select your date of birth and type the reference number.
- If the status shows approval, go back and choose Pay for Application.
- Enter the same details and the picture code, then pay by card.
- Print the visa and travel on the same passport you applied with.
Payments go through the Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait card gateway, according to the FAQ. A debit card with international online payments switched on is enough. Some Pakistani bank cards need international online payments switched on first, so check your banking app before you start.

Lost the reference number or made a mistake? NPRA has a fix
Without the reference number the status form will not work. The FAQ says to contact NPRA with your name, nationality and passport number, sending the request from the same email you used for the application. Corrections work through cancellation and a fresh application, not by editing.
- Lost reference number: email NPRA from your application email with your name, nationality and passport number.
- Wrong detail entered: a submitted application cannot be edited. Email a cancellation request with the reference number, wait for confirmation, then apply again.
- Visa refused: the refusal email says whether to contact NPRA or the embassy. You may apply again.
- Site not loading: try another browser or device before assuming the portal is down.
NPRA lists two phone numbers, +973 17399756 and +973 17399626, and answers Sunday to Thursday, 7:00 am to 2:00 pm Bahrain time. That is 9:00 am to 4:00 pm in Pakistan.

Transit, guarantors and extensions follow their own rules
A short airport connection needs no visa: the FAQ says a stay of 8 hours or less inside the airport does not require one. Travellers whose nationality is not on the online list need a guarantor in Bahrain, and an extension is done in Bahrain itself.
Guarantors can be the airline, the hotel, a Bahrain travel agent, a Bahrain company or a Bahraini citizen. Extensions are paid at the NPRA main office in Manama or the Muharraq service centre, or online through Bahrain.bh. Holding a visa still does not guarantee entry, and the portal itself says no part of the fee is refunded if entry is refused.
If you are flying on to the UAE afterwards, sort the UAE visa for Pakistanis separately. The FIA checks on a foreign visa at a Pakistani airport apply to every country on your ticket.
Common questions
Can Pakistanis apply for a Bahrain visa online?
Yes. Pakistan is listed on Bahrain's eVisa site among countries eligible to apply online, subject to the terms shown in the application.
How long does a Bahrain eVisa take?
About 3 to 5 working days, according to the NPRA FAQ. Some cases take longer.
How much is the Bahrain visa fee for Pakistanis?
The pages we read do not publish it. The fee is shown in the application, and the processing fee is not refunded if the visa is refused.
Why can I not see my Bahrain visa with my passport number?
The status form also needs your date of birth, nationality and Application Reference Number. All four must match your application exactly.
Is the Bahrain visa stamped in my passport?
No. Nothing is stamped before arrival. You print the approved visa and show it with the same passport.
Do I need a visa for a short transit in Bahrain?
Not if you stay inside the airport for 8 hours or less, according to the FAQ.
How we verified this
What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.
Last checked 28 October 2026. We read the evisa.gov.bh home page, the list of countries eligible to get a visa online, the process page, the FAQ, the contact page, and the Check Application Status and Pay for Application forms on that date. Fees, stay length and visa types appear only inside the live application, so we could not read them and do not quote them. We did not submit an application.
