- The moment you share that code, your WhatsApp gets hijacked.
- After that, scammers start messaging your family and friends using your WhatsApp, asking urgently for money as if you are in some serious trouble.
Your friends or family might think it is actually you, so they will send money. You lose your WhatsApp, and your loved ones lose their money, it’s terrible!
How to Immediately Spot These Fake Calls?
- Remember, no official from HEC or CM Punjab Laptop Scheme will EVER ask you to share verification codes over the phone.
- Your university administration is the one who will contact you related to your Laptop application
- These scammers pressure you, make it seem urgent, or say you might lose the chance.

- The official CM Punjab Laptop Scheme website is cmlaptophed.punjab.gov.pk.
- Only students of the 1st & 2nd semester (BS programs) and 1st-year MBBS/BDS from Punjab are eligible.
- The deadline to apply officially is March 16, 2025
