Freelancer.com Withdrawal in Pakistan: Every Method, Fee and the $50 Minimum (2026 List)
Freelancer.com withdrawal in Pakistan: $1 for Payoneer, Skrill or Express, $25 by wire, $50 minimum after fees. See what each costs and the idle account fee.

Freelancer.com lets you withdraw from Pakistan only once you can take out at least $50 after fees, and its own fee page lists five methods: Express Withdrawal, PayPal, Skrill and the Payoneer debit card at $1 each, and international wire at $25. PayPal does not open accounts for residents of Pakistan, so most Pakistani freelancers use Payoneer or a wire to their own bank.
Freelancer.com's public fee page does not say which methods each country gets; your Withdraw Funds page does. So this page sets out every fee Freelancer.com publishes, what a wire really costs once the $50 minimum is applied, the project fees that come off before you withdraw, and the inactive account fee that quietly eats balances. We read Freelancer.com's Fees and Charges page on 31 October 2026.
Freelancer.com charges $1 or $25 to withdraw, with a $50 minimum
Freelancer.com charges $1 for Express Withdrawal, PayPal, Skrill and the Payoneer debit card, and $25 for an international wire. It imposes a minimum withdrawal of $50 after fees. The third party, such as Payoneer or your bank, may add its own charge on top.
| Method | Freelancer.com fee | For a Pakistani freelancer |
|---|---|---|
| Express Withdrawal | $1 | Shown only if offered for your country |
| PayPal | $1 | Not usable: PayPal does not serve Pakistani residents |
| Skrill | $1 | Check that Skrill accepts you before relying on it |
| Payoneer debit card | $1 | The Payoneer route; Payoneer's own fees apply |
| International wire | $25 | Goes to your Pakistani bank; bank charges may apply |
The $50 minimum is after fees. With a wire that means a balance of at least $75: $25 goes in the fee and $50 must remain to be sent. With a $1 method you need $51.
Freelancer.com calls its Payoneer option the "Payoneer Debit Card". Whether Payoneer issues a card to a resident of Pakistan is a question for Payoneer, so check what your Withdraw Funds page actually offers before you plan around it.

A wire suits large, rare withdrawals; Payoneer suits small ones
The $25 wire fee is a flat charge, so it hurts on small amounts and fades on large ones. On a $75 wire it takes a third of the money. On a $1,000 wire it is 2.5%, before your bank's charges and exchange rate. For anything under a few hundred dollars, a $1 method wins.
Here is the arithmetic on three amounts, counting only Freelancer.com's own fee:
| Amount withdrawn | Wire fee as a share | $1 method fee as a share |
|---|---|---|
| $75 | 33% | 1.3% |
| $300 | 8.3% | 0.3% |
| $1,000 | 2.5% | 0.1% |
The $1 route is never really $1, though. Payoneer charges its own withdrawal fee and exchange margin when you move the money to a Pakistani bank, set out in Payoneer fees in Pakistan. Compare the total, not just the Freelancer.com line.

How to withdraw from Freelancer.com in Pakistan
Withdraw from the Withdraw Funds page in your account. It shows the methods open to your country, the fee and the amount you will receive. Add the method first, make sure your name matches your CNIC and bank account, then request the withdrawal.
- Sign in and open Withdraw Funds from your account menu.
- See which methods are listed for Pakistan.
- Add Payoneer or your bank details for a wire, using your name exactly as on your CNIC.
- Enter an amount that leaves at least $50 after the fee.
- Confirm, and keep the withdrawal reference.
- Track it in Payoneer or with your bank's foreign remittance desk.
If you have not set up Payoneer yet, a Pakistani bank account that keeps part of your income in dollars helps; see opening a freelancer digital account.

Project fees come off before you can withdraw
Freelancer.com takes 10% or $5, whichever is greater, from fixed price projects, and 10% from hourly payments. Contests carry the same 10% or $5. Recruiter projects in the Preferred Freelancer Program cost 15%. These fees are why your balance is smaller than the bid.
The $5 floor matters on small jobs. A $20 project costs you $5 in fees, which is 25%, not 10%. Below $50, every fixed price job is charged the full $5.
Freelancer.com also requires a minimum account balance of $20 before you can bid, and more for risky or high-value bids. That money stays in your account while the bid is open, so it is not available to withdraw. Moving a client off the platform to avoid fees carries a penalty of 30% of the project budget under Freelancer.com's terms.
An inactive account can lose up to $14 a month
Freelancer.com charges accounts that have not logged in for six months a maintenance fee of up to $14 a month, until the account is reactivated or closed. A forgotten $60 balance can disappear in a few months. Log in at least once every six months, or withdraw everything before you leave.
If a withdrawal reached Payoneer but not your bank, the tracing steps are the same as for any Payoneer transfer, and the Banking Mohtasib route for bank-side problems is in money sent to Pakistan that has not arrived.

How we verified this
What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.
Last checked 31 October 2026. We read Freelancer.com's Fees and Charges page on 31 October 2026 for the withdrawal fees, the $50 minimum, project and contest fees, the bid balance, the offsiting penalty and the maintenance fee. The fee shares in the tables are our arithmetic. Freelancer.com's support article on withdrawing funds no longer opens, and the fee page does not list countries per method, so which methods appear for Pakistan is not confirmed. The PayPal point comes from our earlier reporting on PayPal in Pakistan. We did not make a withdrawal.
