Hazara Express (11UP) leaves Karachi City at 07:45 and Karachi Cantt at 08:15, and reaches Rawalpindi at 14:45 and Havelian at 17:55 the next day. The return train, 12DN, leaves Havelian at 14:00 and Rawalpindi at 17:10, and reaches Karachi Cantt at 00:30 two days later. Economy from Karachi to Rawalpindi costs Rs 4,200, and an AC Standard berth costs Rs 10,450.
We read these times and fares on the official Pakistan Railways booking system on 2 November 2026, for trains running on 3, 5 and 10 November. Below you will find every stop in both directions, the fare for your city, the classes this train does not have, and what to do when the train runs late. Hazara Express is the only train from Karachi that runs through Sargodha and Mandi Bahauddin to Havelian, so the stop list matters more here than on most trains.
Hazara Express runs Karachi to Havelian in about 34 hours
The 11UP covers 1,599 km from Karachi City to Havelian. It takes 33 hours 40 minutes from Karachi Cantt and 30 hours 30 minutes to Rawalpindi. The 12DN takes 34 hours 30 minutes back to Karachi Cantt.
| Train | Leaves | Reaches Rawalpindi | Reaches the end |
|---|---|---|---|
| 11UP, Karachi to Havelian | Karachi City 07:45, Karachi Cantt 08:15 | 14:45 next day | Havelian 17:55 next day |
| 12DN, Havelian to Karachi | Havelian 14:00, Rawalpindi 17:10 | Same day | Karachi Cantt 00:30, two days later |
One warning before you plan around these times. In early October the same booking system showed 11UP leaving Karachi Cantt at 07:00. On 2 November it showed 08:15 for every date we tried. So an old screenshot or a printed timetable may be wrong. Check the time on the day you book.

Economy from Karachi to Rawalpindi costs Rs 4,200
Hazara Express sells only two classes: Economy and AC Standard (the booking system calls it AC Lower or Standard). There is no AC Business, no AC Parlour and no AC Sleeper on this train. Fares below are what the booking system showed for 10 November 2026.
| From and to | Economy | AC Standard berth |
|---|---|---|
| Karachi Cantt to Hyderabad | Rs 750 | Rs 1,500 |
| Karachi Cantt to Rohri | Rs 1,650 | Rs 3,200 |
| Karachi Cantt to Multan Cantt | Rs 2,750 | Rs 5,900 |
| Karachi Cantt to Sargodha | Rs 3,500 | Rs 7,500 |
| Karachi Cantt to Mandi Bahauddin | Rs 3,750 | Rs 8,300 |
| Karachi Cantt to Rawalpindi | Rs 4,200 | Rs 10,450 |
| Karachi Cantt to Havelian | Rs 4,350 | Rs 11,150 |
| Rawalpindi to Havelian | Rs 350 | Rs 650 |
Economy seats and Economy berths cost the same. Children aged 3 to 10 pay half fare under the Pakistan Railways terms and conditions, and so do some other groups listed in the Pakistan Railways concession fares. If AC Standard on Hazara is sold out, a train with more AC classes may suit you better, and the full Pakistan Railways fare list compares them.

| Baldher | 17:31 | 17:32 | 2 |

Notice what the route skips. Hazara Express does not go through Lahore, Faisalabad or Sahiwal. After Khanewal it turns north through Jhang and Sargodha, then joins the main line again at Lala Musa.
The 12DN leaves Havelian at 14:00 and Rawalpindi at 17:10
The return train runs the same stations in reverse, with a few different halt lengths. Main times on the 12DN, as the booking system showed them on 2 November:
- Havelian 14:00, Haripur Hazara 14:53, Taxila 15:56
- Rawalpindi arrives 16:40, leaves 17:10
- Jhelum 19:37, Lala Musa 20:55, Mandi Bahauddin 21:50
- Sargodha 00:25, Jhang Saddar 02:30, Multan Cantt 07:05 (day 2)
- Bahawalpur 08:40, Rahim Yar Khan 11:35, Rohri 15:20 (day 2)
- Nawabshah 18:47, Hyderabad 21:15 (day 2)
- Karachi Cantt 00:30, Karachi City 00:45 (day 3)
That late arrival in Karachi catches people out. If you book the 12DN for, say, 10 November, you reach Karachi just after midnight on 12 November, not on the 11th. Arrange your pickup for the right night.

- Choose Economy or AC Standard, and a seat or a berth.
- Pay with JazzCash, Easypaisa or another option shown at checkout, and keep the SMS that comes back.
Booking steps with screenshots are in how to book train tickets online in Pakistan. The ticket is in one name and cannot be transferred, so book it in the name of the person travelling.

When Hazara Express runs late or you need to cancel
On a two-day route, delays build up. Fog in Punjab from late November is the usual cause. If the train is cancelled or more than 6 hours late, Pakistan Railways says no deduction applies on an e-ticket refund, but you need a written application signed by the station master.
Normal cancellation costs 10 per cent of the fare more than 48 hours before departure, 20 per cent between 48 and 24 hours, and 30 per cent within 24 hours. An e-ticket cannot be cancelled once the train is less than 2 hours from leaving or the guard chart is printed. The full rules are in how to cancel a Pakistan Railways e-ticket.
Luggage is free up to 20 kg in both Hazara classes. The Pakistan Railways FAQ gives 50 kg only in AC Sleeper, which this train does not carry.

How we verified this
What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.
Last checked 2 November 2026, about 22:45 PKT. We read the times, stops and fares on the Pakistan Railways booking system at pakrailways.gov.pk for 11UP on 3, 5 and 10 November and 12DN on 5 and 10 November 2026. Half fare, refund and luggage rules come from the Pakistan Railways terms and FAQ at pakrail.gov.pk, read the same night. We did not travel on the train, and we could not check live running times, because the booking system's delay field showed zero. Fares and times can change, so confirm them when you book.
