Islamabad Excise runs a mobile vehicle registration unit in five public parks from 3 pm to 5 pm, Monday to Friday, and a doorstep service you book by calling 051-111-383-383. Both handle new registration, transfer and token tax without a trip to the H-9 office. Below is the park for each day, what to bring, and when the main office is still the better choice.

We read the department's notice board, its "Mobile/Park Service Schedule - 2026" and its doorstep service page on islamabadexcise.gov.pk on 27 October 2026. The department calls both services citizen facilitation, meant to cut queues and travel time.

The mobile park unit visits a different Islamabad park each weekday

The Excise mobile unit works from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm. It is at Fatima Jinnah Park on Monday, Kachnar Park on Tuesday, Jasmin Garden on Wednesday, Trail 3 on Thursday and Shalimar Cricket Ground on Friday.

DayLocationTime
MondayFatima Jinnah Park (F-9), F-10 gate3:00 pm to 5:00 pm
TuesdayKachnar Park (I-8)3:00 pm to 5:00 pm
WednesdayJasmin Garden3:00 pm to 5:00 pm
ThursdayTrail 33:00 pm to 5:00 pm
FridayShalimar Cricket Ground3:00 pm to 5:00 pm

The timing is the useful part. The H-9 counters stop new work at 3:15 pm, so the park unit keeps an Excise counter open after the office has stopped taking work. Someone with a 9 to 5 job can reach F-9 or I-8 on the way home.

Two hours is short, though. Arrive early, with every document ready, and expect a queue on a Monday at F-9.

Islamabad Excise mobile park service schedule for each weekday

The park unit handles registration, transfer and token tax

The department says the mobile unit offers new vehicle registration, transfer of ownership, token tax payment and other vehicle related services. It describes the unit as bringing Excise services to parks and community areas so citizens skip a separate office visit.

For a transfer, the same rules apply as at H-9. You still need the seller's biometric receipt, the transfer letter, CNIC copies and the vehicle for inspection. The Islamabad registration and transfer fees are the same wherever you pay.

For token tax alone, the PAK APP is quicker than either the park or the office. The department names it for online payment of vehicle registration fees and taxes, and for checking smart card status.

Book doorstep registration in Islamabad on 051-111-383-383

The doorstep service is booked by phone. Call the Excise helpline on 051-111-383-383, answer the questions it asks about your service, and an appointment slot is assigned. The team then comes to your location within Islamabad to inspect the vehicle and take the papers.

  1. Call 051-111-383-383 during office hours and say which service you need.
  2. Answer the helpline's questions. The department says queries are settled before a slot is given.
  3. Be present at the agreed address with original documents.
  4. Keep the vehicle there for physical inspection.
  5. If you cannot make it, reschedule at least 24 hours before the appointment.

The department says the service is available only within Islamabad territory and, since its latest notice, in all sectors. An online booking form is promised: the page says a doorstep appointment form will "soon" be added to the web services portal.

Steps to book Islamabad Excise doorstep vehicle registration

The doorstep page shows no service charge, so ask before booking

The live doorstep page lists no fee for the visit itself. You pay the normal registration, transfer or tax charges by challan. Ask the helpline whether a visit charge applies when you book, and get the answer before the team arrives.

We say this because the page's code contains an earlier line about an additional service charge that is switched off and does not show to visitors. A hidden line is not a published fee, so we do not state one. If the helpline quotes a charge, ask for it on the challan rather than in cash.

The department lists the purpose plainly: ease for taxpayers, fewer queues, shorter processing and more transparency. Paying only through a challan is the transparency part. Cash handed to a person is not.

Choose between H-9, the park unit and doorstep by your task

Go to H-9 for anything unusual, such as a duplicate card, an alteration or a bank lien. Use the park unit for routine registration, transfer or token tax after work. Book doorstep when the vehicle or owner cannot easily travel.

Full counter times, including the Friday break, are in Islamabad Excise office timings. If your car was among the vehicles cancelled for unpaid tax, the department wants you at the office: its notice on defaulter vehicles up to 2015 asks owners to visit and update their record.

How we verified this

What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.

Last checked 27 October 2026. The park schedule, services, doorstep requirements, helpline and office hours come from the Excise and Taxation Department, Islamabad, at islamabadexcise.gov.pk, read on 27 October 2026. The department works under the Islamabad Capital Territory Administration. We did not visit a park unit or book a doorstep visit, so we cannot say how long either takes. The schedule can change, so call the helpline before you travel.
