Wedding season is khussa season. A khussa is a flat, closed slipper shoe with a pointed or round toe, often with embroidery, and it goes with almost every shalwar kameez, lehenga and gharara. On 8 November, Stylo and Bata had sale prices running while Nishat Linen's new winter khussas were at full price.
We picked nine pairs from three brands, cheapest first, with each brand's own photo after the name. Stylo's sale runs until 11 November, according to our report on the Stylo 11.11 sale, so its prices may rise after that.

Pick a khussa by the event
Match the khussa to the event, not only to the suit. Mehndi suits bright, embroidered pairs. A barat suits golden or heavily worked pairs. A walima suits quiet colours like black, beige or silver. For daily wear, a plain leather or soft synthetic pair is best.
- Pick one colour already in your suit, or gold, black or beige.
- Check the toe. A pointed toe looks dressy, and a round toe is more comfortable for long hours.
- Press the sole. A thin sole on a cold hall floor gets uncomfortable after an hour.
- Look at the lining. A soft lining stops rubbing at the heel.
- Wear the pair at home for an hour before the wedding.

Size and comfort tips
A khussa should feel snug when new, because it stretches with wear. If it is loose in the shop, it will slip off by the end of the evening. Leather stretches more than synthetic.
New khussas can rub at the back of the heel. A small cushion pad helps. Measure your foot in centimetres and check our shoe size chart, because khussa sizes can run small. In winter, a khussa leaves the top of the foot open to the cold, so for an outdoor function, also look at women's winter shoes and boots.
Common questions
What is the price of a khussa in Pakistan?
On 8 November 2026, branded women's khussas cost Rs 999 to Rs 5,490 on the brands' own sites. Sale pairs at Stylo and Bata cost under Rs 2,500.
Which brand has the cheapest khussa?
Stylo, at Rs 999 for its brown leather EC8640 on 8 November 2026. Stylo's sale ends on 11 November.
Is a leather khussa better than synthetic?
Leather breathes better, softens to your foot and lasts longer. Synthetic is cheaper and easy to wipe clean, but can feel stiff and warm.
Should a new khussa feel tight?
It should feel snug, not painful. A khussa stretches with wear, so a loose new pair will slip off later.
Can I wear a khussa in winter?
Yes, indoors and at hall weddings. For outdoor functions on cold nights, a closed shoe or ankle boot is warmer.
How do I clean an embroidered khussa?
Brush off dust with a soft dry brush and wipe the sole with a damp cloth. Do not wash it in water, because the embroidery and glue can come loose.
