Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's wildlife and forest offices have 39 posts open through ETEA: 16 at Swat Zoo (last date 30 October 2026), 20 at Sheikh Buddin National Park in D.I. Khan (6 November), 2 Patwaris in Abbottabad (10 November) and 1 Stenographer in Swat (15 November). The most common job is Wildlife Watcher, with 12 seats and a physical test that includes a 2 km run in 20 minutes.

These adverts are spread across four ETEA projects, so most people see only one. Below are all 39 seats in one place with age, education and the physical standard, then the ETEA steps and the one Sheikh Buddin rule that sends some applications to the forest office instead of ETEA.

We read all four adverts on ETEA's own list of current projects on 24 October 2026.

39 wildlife and forest posts in four ETEA projects

Sheikh Buddin National Park has 20 seats and Swat Zoo 16. Abbottabad's forest demarcation division wants 2 Patwaris and the Malakand Wildlife Circle 1 Stenographer. Swat Zoo closes first, on 30 October, and Malakand last, on 15 November.

Swat Zoo has 16 posts for Swat domicile holders

Swat Zoo wants Junior Clerks, Deputy Rangers, veterinary staff, Wildlife Watchers, an Electrician and four Drivers. Most posts take ages 18 to 30, and drivers 20 to 40. Zoo or wildlife experience earns preference but no extra marks.

Sheikh Buddin National Park has 20 contract posts

The D.I. Khan wildlife division is hiring 20 people for a project to run Sheikh Buddin National Park, all on contract under the KP Project Implementation Policy 2022. Posting is at the park itself. Wildlife Watcher has 8 seats and Wildlife Chowkidar 4.

  • Range Officer Wildlife (BPS-16), 1: BSc in wildlife management, ecology or biology, or BSc forestry, second division, age 18 to 30.
  • Computer Operator (BPS-16), 1: second class BCS or BIT, or bachelor's with an IT diploma, age 20 to 30.
  • Sub-Engineer (BPS-12), 1: second division DAE civil, age 18 to 30.
  • Deputy Ranger Wildlife (BPS-11), 2: FSc pre-medical, second division, age 18 to 30.
  • Wildlife Watcher (BPS-7), 8: intermediate science plus the physical standard, age 18 to 30.

  • Wildlife Chowkidar, Naib Qasid and Sweeper (BPS-3), 6: preferably literate and local, age 18 to 35 or 18 to 40.

Posts at serial 1 to 6 go through ETEA. The advert tells Naib Qasid and Sweeper candidates to send applications with attested documents straight to the Divisional Forest Officer's office in D.I. Khan by 6 November 2026. It does not say clearly which route the Chowkidar posts use, so ask the Divisional Forest Officer's office at Gulshan Colony, D.I. Khan, before you apply.

The Wildlife Watcher physical standard

Both Swat Zoo and Sheikh Buddin set the same bar for Wildlife Watcher: height of at least 5 feet 6 inches, chest 34 to 36 inches, eyesight of 6/6 in each eye with glasses allowed, and a 2 km run in 20 minutes. All four are pass or fail.

TestMinimum
Height5 feet 6 inches
Chest34 to 36 inches
Eyesight6/6 each eye, glasses allowed
Run2 km within 20 minutes

Two kilometres in 20 minutes is a brisk jog, not a sprint. If you have not run in years, start this week. The test date will be on your roll number slip.

  2. Print the e-Sahulat token and verify it at a NADRA e-Sahulat franchise.
  3. Choose the project code and the post.
  4. Print the deposit slip and pay the non-refundable fee by the method the slip shows.
  5. Keep the stamped copy and wait for ETEA's SMS to download the roll number slip.

Apply separately, with a separate fee, for each post. Government employees apply through proper channel. The full ETEA routine, including results, is under ETEA test registration and result.

How we verified this

What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.

Last checked 24 October 2026. We read ETEA's current projects table on etea.online for codes 869, 877, 879 and 884 and their last dates, and the four adverts linked there (one PDF and three images, the Abbottabad one in Urdu). The 39 total and the Wildlife Watcher count of 12 are our sums. We could not confirm the test fee, the salaries, or which route the Sheikh Buddin Chowkidar posts use. We did not apply.
