Onic's packages on 28 October 2026 start at Rs 500 for 40 GB a week (Weekly Maverick) and run to Rs 2,490 for 250 GB a month (Onic Xclusive), and every weekly and monthly plan lists unlimited calls and SMS. Onic also sells 6 and 12 month plans paid upfront, shared group plans for 2, 3 or 5 people, and roaming add-ons for Saudi Arabia, the UAE, the UK and Turkey.

Read the warning section before you pay for a long plan. PTA ordered Onic's parent company in September to stop new Onic sales, and that dispute is not settled. We read every plan on onic.pk on 28 October 2026.

Onic weekly and monthly plans cost Rs 500 to Rs 2,490

Onic sells two weekly plans and four monthly plans. Weekly Maverick gives 40 GB for Rs 500 and Weekly Ultimate gives 80 GB for Rs 550. Monthly plans run from Epic at Rs 1,290 for 30 GB to Xclusive at Rs 2,490 for 250 GB.

Onic's plan cards say "unlimited calls and SMS" but the cards we read did not show the fair use limit. Open "More details" in the app before you buy if you make long calls every day.

Onic 6 and 12 month plans are cheaper but paid upfront

Onic's long plans lower the monthly price in exchange for paying 6 or 12 months at once. Iconic, 100 GB a month, costs Rs 1,418 a month on the 12 month plan, billed as Rs 17,010 upfront. That is Rs 3,270 less than 12 single months at Rs 1,690.

Plan (data a month)1 month6 months (billed upfront)12 months (billed upfront)
Liberty (15 GB)Rs 1,150Rs 1,013 a month (Rs 6,075)Rs 675 a month (Rs 8,100)

Limitless (200 GB)Rs 1,890Rs 1,777 a month (Rs 10,659)Rs 1,568 a month (Rs 18,810)

The saving is real on paper. But a year paid upfront is a bigger risk than usual this year, for the reason in the next section.

PTA has ordered new Onic sales to stop, so be careful with long plans

On 11 September 2026, PTA ordered PTML, which runs Onic, to stop new Onic sales, activations and SIM issuance, and gave it three months from receipt to move existing Onic customers to PTML. PTA's order treats Onic as a virtual operator, which must either become an ordinary PTML product or get its own licence.

PTML's court challenge to the order was reported on 9 October, and we have not seen a court order or a public statement from PTML. Meanwhile onic.pk still showed "Order Sim" buttons on 28 October. Three months from the order's date runs to about mid-December 2026, by our own count; the exact date depends on when PTML received it.

So our advice is simple. Buy weekly or monthly, not 12 months, until the order is settled. The history is in what PTA's Onic order means for your number, and the latest step is in PTML's court challenge.

Onic group plans share one pool between 2, 3 or 5 people

Onic's group plans give one shared pool of data, calls and SMS: 80 GB for 2 people at Rs 2,490, 120 GB for 3 at Rs 3,290, and 200 GB for 5 at Rs 4,390. The admin adds members, and new members get a free SIM through an invite link.

  • Everyone draws from the same pool. You cannot set a limit for one member.
  • You get 5 attempts to add people in the plan's 30 days. Removing and re-adding one person counts as one attempt.
  • Renew before expiry to keep the group. Renewal gives 4 fresh attempts.
  • A person cannot be in two groups at once.
  • Unused group data does not roll over.

The group page also carries an older note about price changes "from 22nd of December 2025" to Rs 2,390, Rs 3,090 and Rs 3,990, which do not match the prices shown above it. Trust the price in the app at checkout.

Onic group plans in Pakistan: 2 in 1 80 GB Rs 2,490, 3 in 1 120 GB Rs 3,290, 5 in 1 200 GB Rs 4,390

Onic roaming add-ons need an active plan

Onic's roaming plans page sells data for Saudi Arabia and the UAE together, the UK and Turkey together, and a global option. Onic's FAQ says you must have an active Onic plan to buy any roaming add-on.

Roaming add-onWhat you getPrice
Saudi and UAE Pro10 GBRs 3,900
Saudi and UAE Monthly5 GBRs 2,900
UAE and Saudi, 7 days2.5 GBRs 1,100

UK and Turkey, 7 days1 GBRs 1,100
UK and Turkey, 1 day500 MBRs 550
Global roaming data100 MBRs 5,500
Global roaming voice, 7 days10 minutesRs 450

The global data add-on is very expensive per MB, and Onic's FAQ lists it as "0.1 MB" where the plan card says 100 MB. For Umrah, compare with the Saudi roaming bundles on Jazz, Ufone and Zong first.

How to get an Onic SIM or move your number to Onic

Onic sells online only. You choose a plan in the Onic app or on onic.pk, pick a number or keep your own, then collect the SIM from an Onic pickup point after biometric verification. Onic also offers "SIM Now, Pay Later": a free SIM with 500 MB to start.

  1. Install the Onic app and sign up with your email.
  2. Choose a plan. To keep your number, tap Transfer Number.
  3. Enter your details and pay.
  4. For a number transfer, send MNP to 667, then forward the reply to 76333.
  5. Collect the SIM at the pickup point, give your fingerprints, and activate it in the app.

Onic says you cannot port a number from AJK, a number whose owner changed recently, or a SIM used for less than 60 days. Prepaid ports take up to 4 business days and postpaid 13 to 18. The general rules are in how MNP works in Pakistan. Given the PTA order, think twice before moving your main number.

Common questions

What is the cheapest Onic package?

Weekly Maverick at Rs 500 for 40 GB is the cheapest plan on onic.pk. On a monthly basis, Liberty on the 12 month plan works out to Rs 675 a month, but it is billed Rs 8,100 upfront.

Does Onic data roll over?

Yes, Onic lists data rollover on its weekly and monthly plans: unused data is added to the next cycle. The group plan page says group data does not roll over, and the annual plan page does not list rollover.

Is Onic shutting down?

PTA ordered new Onic sales to stop in September 2026 and gave three months to move existing users to PTML. PTML's court challenge was reported in October. We have not seen a final ruling.

What is the Onic helpline number?

Onic's FAQ gives 051-111-339-111, the email happiness@onic.pk, and live chat through OnicAI in the app.

How do I check my Onic data?

Open the Onic app. Usage logs are under Dashboard, Usage Logs, and Onic emails the report to you.

Can I buy an Onic roaming bundle without a plan?

No. Onic's FAQ says an active plan is needed for all add-ons, including roaming and international calls.

How we verified this

What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.

We read Onic's home page, weekly, monthly, annual, group and roaming plan pages, its FAQ, data rollover and SIM Now Pay Later pages on onic.pk on 28 October 2026. The 12 month saving is our arithmetic. We did not place an order. The PTA order details come from the order itself, which we read on 10 October; we could not verify the reported court challenge or any stay, and onic.pk does not mention the order at all.
