Saudi Arabia Roaming for Umrah From Pakistan: Jazz, Ufone and Zong Bundles Compared
Compare Saudi roaming bundles for Umrah from Pakistan: Zong Rs 499 for 1 GB, Jazz Rs 2,749 for 2 GB, Ufone postpaid buckets, and the steps to switch roaming on.

For Umrah, the cheapest Saudi roaming data we found is Zong's Rs 499 plus tax for 1 GB, valid 90 days. Jazz sells 2 GB for Rs 2,749 (30 days) and 6 GB for Rs 6,872 (45 days). Ufone lists postpaid buckets from Rs 999, but its page does not show the data size.
Most pilgrims need two things in Saudi Arabia: WhatsApp calls home and a map. A few hundred megabytes does that. Paying the standard per-MB rate for it is the expensive mistake.
We read the Saudi pages of Jazz, Ufone and Zong on 8 October 2026. Prices change often, so confirm on the operator's page before you buy. We also checked what you must switch on first, because a bundle does nothing if roaming is off.
Jazz sells two Saudi data bundles for prepaid users
Jazz's prepaid Saudi roaming bundles cost Rs 2,749 for 2 GB, valid 30 days, and Rs 6,872 for 6 GB, valid 45 days. Jazz says WhatsApp audio and video calls work on them anywhere in Saudi Arabia.
By our arithmetic that is about Rs 1,375 a GB on the 2 GB bundle and Rs 1,145 a GB on the 6 GB one. The bigger bundle is cheaper per GB, but only if you will use it in 45 days.
Subscribe through the SIMOSA app, or dial *7626# to manage and check usage. Postpaid users can buy the same bundles with a Rs 5,000 credit limit. Jazz's own terms say that once the bundle is used up, roaming data stops until you buy another bundle or switch on the base per-MB rate by dialling *7626#.
Zong prices Saudi data from Rs 499, with calls bundled in
Zong's cheapest Saudi option is Rs 499 plus tax for 1 GB of data, valid 90 days. It also sells Rs 1,499 plus tax for 70 minutes and 1 GB over 90 days, and Rs 3,000 plus tax for 30 minutes, 30 SMS and 1,500 MB over 30 days.
Zong's plain rate is Rs 20 per MB plus tax for prepaid data in Saudi Arabia. A single 1 GB bundle at Rs 499 is far cheaper than a few hundred MB at that rate.
One extra note from Zong: 5G roaming works on the STC network in Saudi Arabia, but your phone must support VoLTE and the service must be provisioned on your number. Dial every number with the country code while roaming, including Pakistan numbers.
Ufone lists postpaid buckets, and the data size is unclear
Ufone's postpay page lists a KSA and UAE data bucket at Rs 999 and another at Rs 2,499, and a Hajj roaming bucket at Rs 4,600. Subscribe by dialling *506#. The page copy we read did not state the data allowance.
We would not buy on a price alone. Open Ufone's postpaid data roaming page, read the size and validity, then decide. Prepaid Ufone SIMs are already roaming enabled, but we did not find a Saudi bundle for prepaid on the pages we read.
| Operator | Bundle | Price | Validity |
|---|---|---|---|
| Jazz prepaid | 2 GB Saudi data | Rs 2,749 | 30 days |
| Jazz prepaid | 6 GB Saudi data | Rs 6,872 | 45 days |
| Zong prepaid | 1 GB data | Rs 499 + tax | 90 days |
| Zong prepaid | 70 minutes + 1 GB | Rs 1,499 + tax | 90 days |
| Ufone postpay | Hajj roaming bucket | Rs 4,600 | Not stated on page |
Switch roaming on and buy the bundle in this order
Bundles fail when the order is wrong. Do the steps below at home, before your flight, not at Jeddah airport.
- Confirm roaming is active. Jazz prepaid: dial *ROAM# or *7626#. Zong: dial 310. Our roaming activation guide covers all three operators.
- Load balance above the bundle price. Jazz needs the balance to be higher than the price.
- Buy the bundle, then check it in the app or with the usage code.
- In Saudi Arabia, switch on mobile data and data roaming, and wait for the network to attach.
- Use airplane mode on the flight, because bundles do not work in the air.
Roaming or a Saudi SIM, and what to check on your phone
A Saudi SIM can be cheaper for heavy data, but it gives you a different number, so your Pakistani OTP messages and bank alerts will not reach you. Roaming keeps your own number working. Jazz itself says roaming is the better idea than buying a local SIM.
If your phone is not PTA registered, it should still roam, in our reading, and we explain why in our note on a non-PTA phone on roaming. For the trip itself, see our guide to the Umrah visa on Nusuk.

How we verified this
What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.
Last checked 8 October 2026. We read Jazz's prepaid Saudi 2 GB and 6 GB bundle pages and roaming tips, Zong's international roaming page and Ufone's postpaid data roaming page. Zong's page lists Saudi bundles in two blocks, and we quote only the ones clearly labelled Saudi Arabia. The per-GB figures are our own arithmetic. Operators change bundles without notice, so check the price and validity on their own page before you pay.
