How to check the remittance figures on the SBP site

The country file is public and free. It opens in Excel or Google Sheets.

  1. Go to the State Bank of Pakistan website and open the economic data section.
  2. Find "Workers' Remittances" and download the country-wise file.
  3. Open the sheet named "July 2018 onwards".
  4. Read the "Total" row for the national figure, or a country row for one corridor.
  5. Note the R mark on revised months; the latest month can change.

Money that has not reached your family can be traced using the steps in tracing a remittance that has not arrived.

How we verified this

What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.

Last checked 1 November 2026. All monthly and country figures come from SBP's country-wise workers' remittances file (Homeremit_Arch.xlsx, sheet "July 2018 onwards"), which we downloaded from sbp.org.pk on 1 November 2026. Nine-month totals and percentage changes are our own arithmetic from that file. The first-quarter total and 14.0% growth also appear in the Finance Division's October 2026 economic update. Eid dates come from the Pakistan Stock Exchange holiday list for 2026. We could not confirm the October release date, which SBP does not announce.
