PTV Sports to Show Pakistan vs Sri Lanka T20Is Live, Apps Confirmed Too
PCB confirms PTV Sports, the PCB Live app, Tapmad and Tamasha for Pakistan vs Sri Lanka T20Is. All 3 start at 6 pm. See costs, data tips and channels abroad.
PTV Sports will show the Pakistan vs Sri Lanka T20I series live in Pakistan, the PCB confirmed on 8 October 2026. You can also stream it on the PCB Live app, Tapmad or Tamasha. All three matches in Rawalpindi start at 6:00 pm PKT, on 9, 11 and 13 October, with the toss at 5:30 pm.
This is new. Until the PCB's release of 8 October, no channel or app had been confirmed for the series. We read that release on pcb.com.pk on the morning of 9 October, along with the PCB Live website and Jazz's Tamasha price page.
PTV Sports, PCB Live, Tapmad and Tamasha carry the series in Pakistan
In Pakistan, the series is live on PTV Sports on television. Online, the PCB names its own PCB Live app, plus Tapmad and Tamasha as streamers. That gives you one free-to-air channel and three apps for the same matches.
| Platform | Type | What we know about cost |
|---|---|---|
| PTV Sports | Television | Part of normal cable and satellite packages |
| PCB Live app | Streaming, Pakistan and abroad | No Pakistan price shown on its website when we checked |
| Tamasha (Jazz) | Streaming | Rs 12 a day, Rs 25 for 3 days, Rs 50 a week, Rs 120 a month (prepaid) |
| Tapmad | Streaming | We did not read its price page |
The PCB's earlier position was that PCB Live worked only in the UK. Its 8 October release now says fans "can stream the action on PCB Live app as well" in Pakistan. The PCB Live website still showed only UK prices in pounds when we opened it, so check the price inside the app before you pay.
Tamasha's free data stops between 8 pm and 9 pm
Jazz gives prepaid Tamasha users without a paid offer 1 GB of free streaming data a day. But that free data does not apply between 8:00 pm and 9:00 pm, which is the middle of a 6:00 pm T20 match.
So if you plan to watch on Tamasha for free, the second innings will eat your normal mobile data. The Rs 12 daily offer includes 2 GB of streaming data and covers the whole evening. Postpaid users pay Rs 120 a month, or get 3 hours of free streaming a day without an offer.
Three hours is close to the length of a full T20. Expect it to run out near the end of a close game.
Match times and the head-to-head record
All three T20Is start at 6:00 pm PKT at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, with the toss at 5:30 pm. The PCB says this is the ninth bilateral T20I series between the two sides. Pakistan lead the overall T20I record 18 wins to 12.
| Match | Date | Toss | Start |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1st T20I | Friday 9 October | 5:30 pm | 6:00 pm |
| 2nd T20I | Sunday 11 October | 5:30 pm | 6:00 pm |
| 3rd T20I | Tuesday 13 October | 5:30 pm | 6:00 pm |
The PCB gives the full record for the first time. The teams have played 30 T20Is. Of the eight earlier bilateral series, Pakistan won four, three were drawn and Sri Lanka won one, a 3-0 sweep in Lahore in 2019. Friday's match is the 250th international game of any format between the two countries.
A dry forecast and a mixed recent record at the ground shape Friday's 1st T20I in Rawalpindi. Sahibzada Farhan captains Pakistan at home for the first time, and the Pakistan T20I squad includes two uncapped players, Razaullah and Muhammad Imran Randhawa.
Family abroad can watch on these channels
The PCB lists a broadcaster for most regions. PCB Live also streams in the United Kingdom, North America, the Caribbean, Europe and Africa. So relatives abroad have at least one legal option almost everywhere.
- North America: Willow TV, on TV and digital.
- United Kingdom: ARY on TV, and the PCB Live app.
- Middle East and North Africa: Cricbuzz, on TV and digital.
- Australia: Fox Sports, on TV and digital.
- Sri Lanka: Dialog, Peo TV and Siyatha TV. Bangladesh has T Sports on TV and Tapmad online. India has Veto (digital).
Most other countries, except Africa and the Caribbean, get the series through Sports Central or Sports TV, the PCB says. Africa and the Caribbean are covered by PCB Live.
Commentators for the series
Former Pakistan captains Aamir Sohail, Salman Butt and Urooj Mumtaz Khan are on the commentary team. Former Pakistan batter Bazid Khan joins them, along with Sri Lanka's Roshan Abeysinghe.
Before 8 October, how to watch Pakistan vs Sri Lanka live was an open question, because the PCB had named no channel. This release settles it. The PCB has not yet said whether the same channels will carry the ODI tri-series from 18 October, though PTV holds the home rights for the season, as reported in the PTV rights deal.
