Pakistani Passport Fee in Germany: €36 to €1,680 at Frankfurt (2026 List)
Pakistani passport fee in Germany: €36 for 5 years and €54 for 10 years at Frankfurt, urgent and lost fees, how to pay, delivery times and the NICOP rule.

A Pakistani passport in Germany costs €36 for 36 pages and 5 years on normal processing, and €54 for 10 years, at the Consulate General of Pakistan in Frankfurt. Urgent costs €70 and €105. A debit card payment at the consulate adds €1 in bank charges. The highest fee, for a third lost 72 page, 10 year urgent passport, is €1,680.
We read the Frankfurt consulate's passport page and its full fee structure on 25 October 2026. Below is the whole table for 36 and 72 pages, how to pay (cash and online payment are refused), the delivery times, and the rule on children's NICOPs that came in with a passport office letter in January 2025.
Pakistani passport fee in Germany for 36 pages
Frankfurt charges €36 for a new, renewed or modified 36 page passport valid 5 years, and €54 for 10 years, on normal processing. Urgent costs €70 and €105. Lost passports cost two, four or eight times the normal fee, depending on how many times the passport was lost.
| 36 pages | 5 years, normal | 5 years, urgent | 10 years, normal | 10 years, urgent |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| New, renew or modify | €36 | €70 | €54 | €105 |
| First time loss | €72 | €140 | €108 | €210 |
| Second time loss | €144 | €280 | €216 | €420 |
| Third time loss | €288 | €560 | €432 | €840 |
A third loss needs authorisation from the Ministry of Interior before the consulate will process it. So a third loss is not just expensive, it is slow, and you cannot rush it with the urgent fee.

Fees for a 72 page passport in Germany
A 72 page passport costs €70 for 5 years and €105 for 10 years on normal processing in Frankfurt, or €140 and €210 urgent. Loss fees rise from €140 to €1,680. The Frankfurt table lists no 100 page passport.
| 72 pages | 5 years, normal | 5 years, urgent | 10 years, normal | 10 years, urgent |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| New, renew or modify | €70 | €140 | €105 | €210 |
| First time loss | €140 | €280 | €210 | €420 |
| Second time loss | €280 | €560 | €420 | €840 |
| Third time loss | €560 | €1,120 | €840 | €1,680 |
Notice the pattern. A 72 page normal passport costs exactly what a 36 page urgent one costs. In Germany, urgent roughly doubles the fee, which is a steeper premium than in Spain or the Netherlands. Plan ahead and apply on normal if you can.
The 10 year passport costs €5.40 a year in Germany
At €54 for 10 years, a 36 page passport costs €5.40 a year. At €36 for 5 years, it costs €7.20 a year. For an adult, the 10 year book saves money every time, and saves a second trip to Frankfurt.
These are our sums from the consulate's table. Urgent costs €34 more on a 5 year book and €51 more on a 10 year book. In rupees, the 5 or 10 year passport fee in Pakistan follows the same logic.

Pay by German debit card at the consulate, not by cash
Frankfurt prefers payment by a German debit card at the deposit machine in its reception, which adds €1 in bank charges. A transfer from a German bank is accepted with the deposit slip and a bank statement. Cash and online payment are not accepted, and the fee is not refundable.
The consulate's account is with the National Bank of Pakistan in Frankfurt, and its number is printed on the consulate's page. If you pay by transfer, bring the original bank receipt with the exact amount, the bank's stamp and your Kontoauszug (bank statement) showing the payment. Only debit cards that work in Germany are accepted at the machine.
Papers to bring, and the NICOP rule for children
Adults bring an original valid NICOP or CNIC, the previous passport with copies of pages 1 and 2, and a valid German residence visa with one copy. Since a DGIP letter of 13 January 2025, children under 18 must also have their own valid NICOP, the juvenile card.
Both parents must be present for a minor, with their NICOPs or CNICs, German ID or passports, and the child's birth certificate (Geburtsurkunde) or S-1 form. If one parent cannot come, bring their authority letter attested by a notary or the Ausländerbehörde (foreigners' office), plus their original travel document. Married women need a card with the husband's name. Hands must be free of ink or henna, and both ears must be visible in the photo.
- Pay the exact fee by debit card at reception, or by German bank transfer.
- Take a queue token downstairs, Monday to Thursday, 09:00 to 12:00.
- Show your NICOP, old passport, residence visa and copies at the counter.
- Give your photo, fingerprints and interview in the passport section.
- Check the tracking list, then collect in person or by post.

Bring your photocopies with you. The consulate has one copier, which charges 20 cents a page, and the queue is long. If your child has no NICOP yet, apply through the NICOP online application on PakID before you book the trip.
Normal takes 5 to 6 weeks, urgent 2 to 3 weeks
Frankfurt says normal passports arrive in about 5 to 6 weeks and urgent ones in about 2 to 3 weeks, shipping from Islamabad included. Collect in person from Monday to Thursday, 09:00 to 12:00, or by post with a stamped envelope worth €4.45.
For postal return, send a self-addressed envelope with €4.45 in stamps and your old original passport. Someone else can collect with your signed authority letter, their own ID and your previous passport. Sign the new passport on page 2 straight away; the consulate warns it is not valid without your signature or thumb impression. You can follow the printing stage with the usual passport tracking by token.

How we verified this
What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.
We read the Consulate General of Pakistan Frankfurt's passport page and its fee structure page on 25 October 2026. The tables still use the label "Machine Readable Passport"; we could not confirm whether e-passports cost the same. We could not read a passport fee page for the embassy in Berlin. Per year costs are our arithmetic.
