PIA Ticket Booking Online in Pakistan: Pay, Change and Get a Refund
Book a PIA ticket online at piac.com.pk, pay by card, change dates in My Booking and get a refund in 3 to 5 working days. Baggage rules and where to complain.
Book a PIA ticket online at piac.com.pk or in the PIA app, and pay with a Visa or Mastercard credit or debit card. To change or refund a web ticket, open "My Booking". PIA says a full online refund reaches you in 3 to 5 working days. The PIA contact centre is 111-786-786.
We read PIA's booking conditions, its baggage guide and its frequently asked questions on piac.com.pk on 28 September 2026. PIA publishes most of the process. What it does not publish in plain text is a single refund fee for Pakistan, and we say below where that leaves you.
Most PIA ticket booking problems come from three things: a card blocked for online use, a partial refund that My Booking will not do, and a no-show. Each has its own route.
How to book a PIA ticket online
Search your route on piac.com.pk or the PIA app, pick a fare, enter each passenger's details and pay by card. PIA emails an itinerary receipt once the payment goes through. One online booking can hold up to nine passengers.
- Open piac.com.pk or the PIA app, and enter your from and to cities, dates and number of passengers.
- Choose a flight and a fare. Read the fare conditions, because they decide your change and refund charges.
- Enter every passenger's name exactly as on the CNIC or passport, plus a working email and phone number.
- Pay with a Visa or Mastercard card, entering the billing address your bank holds.
- Check your email for the itinerary receipt and keep the booking reference.
PIA's FAQ says one online transaction can include up to nine passengers, with up to six adults and children in the party, and infants linked to the number of adults. A bigger group needs two bookings or a ticket office.
PIA's booking conditions also say the airline may refuse boarding on a web ticket if the cardholder's contact details are missing or the payment looks like fraud. Use your own card, or be ready to show it. Overseas Pakistanis flying home have one more boarding check, because an expired NICOP now stops boarding on flights to Pakistan.
How to pay for a PIA ticket
PIA's website and app take Visa and Mastercard credit and debit cards. You can also hold a booking and pay later through My Booking within the time limit, or pay at a PIA ticket office, though PIA warns the fare may differ there. JazzCash and Easypaisa are not listed.

If a held booking is not bought straight away, PIA says the price can change by the time you pay. Popular dates move fast, so do not hold for long.
Card declined? PIA's FAQ says to ask your bank to switch on 3DS, the one-time code check for online shopping. "Payment Error Worldpay 34" means the bank's authentication failed. Some banks also add their own fee on web payments, which PIA says it has no control over.
If money left your account but no ticket arrived, call the PIA contact centre straight away with the first six and last four digits of your card and the email used. Banks also have deadlines of their own when money is deducted but the payment failed.
How to check, change or manage your PIA booking
Open "My Booking" on piac.com.pk or the app with your booking reference to see your flights, change dates, and buy seats, extra baggage or lounge access. PIA says date changes are charged under your fare's conditions. No-shows and bookings cancelled by phone must go to a ticket office.
What My Booking can and cannot do, from PIA's FAQ:
- Change dates: yes, online, with any fare difference and change fee paid there.
- Change the route: no. PIA says web tickets are non re-routable and non-transferable.
- Add extras: yes, seats, extra baggage and lounge access.
- No-show or changes forced by PIA: no, visit a PIA ticket office or call the contact centre.
Web check-in for domestic flights opens 24 hours before departure and closes 6 hours before. You still drop checked bags at the counter. On the day, tracking a flight in Pakistan tells you whether it is running to time before you leave home.
If PIA cancels your flight or moves its time, the FAQ gives a separate number, +92-330-0786-786, also for flights leaving within three hours.
PIA refund and cancellation rules
A web ticket not yet used can be refunded online in My Booking for the whole journey, and PIA says the money arrives in 3 to 5 working days. A partial refund goes through the contact centre and PIA's web refund team, which takes 10 to 15 working days. Fees depend on your fare.

The fee is the part PIA does not put in one place. Its booking conditions say change and refund penalties are "provided for every country of travel" under the Booking Conditions and Penalties section, and differ by fare. We could not find the Pakistan table in the page's text, so we do not quote a rupee figure. Ask the contact centre before you cancel.
An ARN, or Acquirer Reference Number, is the bank's own tracking number for a refund. With it, your bank can find money that PIA has sent but your account has not shown yet.
One more rule worth knowing: PIA says it can change these conditions at any time, and its view prevails in a dispute. Screenshot the fare rules when you buy.
PIA baggage allowance and how to complain
On domestic PIA flights you may carry one cabin bag of up to 7 kg, no bigger than 115 cm in total. Your checked baggage allowance is the one printed on your ticket, which depends on the fare. Complaints go to PIA's feedback portal, its email or 111-786-786.

PIA's baggage guide does not print a single kilogram figure for domestic checked bags. It says the allowance "reflected on the passenger's ticket" is what counts. So read your e-ticket, not a friend's. Batteries have their own rules, set out in the power bank rules on PIA and other flights.
For complaints, PIA lists three routes:
- The feedback portal at feedback.piac.com.pk, for complaints, requests and suggestions about a flight.
- Email to contact@piac.aero, the address PIA lists on its pages.
- The contact centre at (+92-21) 111-786-786, or any PIA ticket office.
We looked for a passenger complaint route on the websites of the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority and the Pakistan Airports Authority, the two bodies that replaced the old CAA. Both sites load their content in a way our tools could not read, and we found no complaint form. Until we can confirm one, PIA's own channels are the route we can vouch for. If a card refund is stuck, your bank is the second route, using the ARN.
Common questions
How do I book a PIA ticket online?

Can I pay for a PIA ticket with JazzCash or Easypaisa?
PIA does not list them. Its FAQ names Visa and Mastercard cards online, and you can also pay at a PIA ticket office.
How long does a PIA refund take?
3 to 5 working days for a full web ticket refund through My Booking, and 10 to 15 working days for a partial refund through the web refund unit, according to PIA's FAQ.
How much does PIA charge to cancel a ticket?
It depends on your fare and country of travel. PIA publishes penalties by country, and we could not read a single Pakistan figure, so ask 111-786-786 before cancelling.
What is the PIA domestic baggage allowance?
Cabin baggage is 7 kg and 115 cm. Checked baggage is whatever your ticket shows, since PIA sets it by fare.
Can I change the date of a PIA web ticket online?
Yes. Use My Booking and pay any change fee and fare difference. The route cannot be changed on a web ticket.
