President's Trophy Final 2026 Day 1 Score: SBP 138 for 6 Lead Markhor IT Solutions by 26 in Lahore
SBP closed day 1 of the President's Trophy final on 138 for 6, leading Markhor IT Solutions' 112 by 26 at Bagh-e-Jinnah, Lahore. See the scores and bowling.

State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) finished day one of the President's Trophy Grade-I final on 138 for 6, a lead of 26, after bowling Markhor IT Solutions out for 112 at Bagh-e-Jinnah, Lahore, on Tuesday 27 October 2026. Siraj Uddin took 6 for 39 and Shahid Aziz 4 for 39.
It was a day for bowlers on a ground hosting its first first-class match since 2005. Below are the day's scores, the bowling figures, a gap in the published account we could not close, and what the rest of the five-day final looks like.
SBP lead by 26 runs with four wickets left
SBP closed on 138 for 6 in 36 overs, replying to Markhor IT Solutions' 112. By our sum that is a first-innings lead of 26, with four wickets in hand. Rameez Aziz Panjara was 14 not out and Siraj Uddin 8 not out at stumps.

| Innings | Score | Top scorer | Best bowling |
|---|---|---|---|
| Markhor IT Solutions | 112 all out, 29.5 overs | Aitizaz Habib Khan 29 off 30 | Siraj Uddin 6 for 39 |
| SBP | 138 for 6, 36 overs, at stumps | Sardar Hassan Raza Khan 36 off 63 | Aamer Jamal 6 for 14, as reported |
That lead could matter more than it looks. Four full days remain, but a low-scoring first day on a fresh club ground suggests batting will not get much easier. Every run SBP's last four add on Wednesday morning is a run Markhor must chase.
Siraj Uddin took 6 for 39 to bowl Markhor out for 112
Markhor IT Solutions batted first and lasted only 29.5 overs. Siraj Uddin took 6 for 39 in 9 overs and Shahid Aziz 4 for 39 in 7.5 overs, so two SBP bowlers shared all ten wickets. Aitizaz Habib Khan top-scored with 29 off 30 balls.
Salman Khan and Abuzar Tariq made 18 each, and Mohammad Ismail hit 13 off 7 balls with a four and a six. Mohammad Farooq, who made 703 runs for Markhor in the league stage, is not among the scores reported. For a side that reached the final on its batting, 112 is a poor return.

Siraj and Shahid were SBP's main wicket-takers before the final too. The board's tables before the final gave Sirajuddin 23 wickets and Shahid Aziz 21 for the season. If those are the same players, as the names suggest, that takes them to 29 and 25, by our own sum.
Aamer Jamal took 6 for 14 as SBP slipped in reply
Aamer Jamal, the former Test fast bowler, is reported to have taken 6 for 14 in 10 overs. The report does not name his side, but the six SBP wickets that fell on day one match his haul, so he was bowling for Markhor IT Solutions by our reading.
SBP's reply was built early. Sardar Hassan Raza Khan made 36 off 63 balls with six fours, and Ali Shan hit 27 off 24 with six boundaries. Faham Ul Haq Khan added 17. After that, Jamal's spell turned a comfortable reply into a tight one.
A six-wicket haul at that economy will be noticed. Jamal was in Pakistan's Test squad for the England tour earlier in 2026 but is not in the 14 named for the Sri Lanka Tests. The Pakistan Test squad against Sri Lanka can still add two fast bowlers after 6 November.
Reports of the day do not add up to the stated 18 wickets
The published account says 18 wickets fell on day one. The scores it gives account for 16: Markhor's 10 and SBP's 6. We could not reach the board's scorecard to settle it, so this page uses the 16 that the scores support.
- Markhor IT Solutions: 112 all out, 10 wickets.
- SBP: 138 for 6 at stumps, 6 wickets.
- Total on the day by our count: 16 wickets and 250 runs in 65.5 overs.
- Stated in the report: 18 wickets.
The gap is most likely a slip in the summary line rather than two missing dismissals, because a 10-wicket innings and a 6-down reply cannot hold 18. We will correct this page if the official scorecard shows otherwise.
The final runs to Saturday 31 October at Bagh-e-Jinnah
The five-day final runs from 27 to 31 October at Bagh-e-Jinnah, Lahore, the old Lawrence Gardens ground. The board moved it there from Karachi to mark the return of first-class cricket to the venue, which hosted three Tests in the 1950s.
| Day | Date | Position |
|---|---|---|
| Day 1 | Tuesday 27 October | Markhor 112, SBP 138 for 6 |
| Day 2 | Wednesday 28 October | SBP resume, lead 26 |
| Days 3 to 5 | 29 to 31 October | To be played |
SBP topped the league with 107 points and were unbeaten; Markhor IT Solutions were second on 96 in their first Grade-I season. The background is in our report on the President's Trophy final moving to Bagh-e-Jinnah, and the league table is on our page of President's Trophy Grade-I fixtures and points. We could not find the rule for a drawn final in anything the board has published.
