Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium Guide for Pakistan vs Sri Lanka T20Is: 6 pm Start, Entry Rules, Banned Items

All three Pakistan vs Sri Lanka T20Is at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, on 9, 11 and 13 October 2026, start at 6:00 pm, according to PCB's official ticket website. Bring your original CNIC or passport. A photocopy, even in colour, will not get you in.

That 6:00 pm time is new. PCB's press releases still give no start time, and reports had said 7:30 pm or 8 pm. But the match listings on pcb.tcs.com.pk, the only online seller PCB has named, show 6:00 pm for all three games. We read that site on 6 October.

Below is the match day itself: what to carry, what security will take off you, how to collect a ticket, and how to reach the ground. The PCB ticket prices for the T20Is run from Rs 200 in the General stand to Rs 25,000 for a Platinum box seat.

All three Rawalpindi T20Is start at 6:00 pm

PCB's ticket site lists the first T20I on Friday 9 October, the second on Sunday 11 October and the third on Tuesday 13 October, all at 6:00 pm at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. A T20 usually takes about three and a half hours, so expect to leave the ground around 9:30 pm.

PCB has not published a gate opening time for this series. Plan to reach the ground about two hours before the start. That is our advice, not a PCB rule. Every fan is searched and every card is checked, and that takes time with thousands at the gates.

Your original CNIC or passport is the ticket that matters

PCB's ticket terms say you must show the same CNIC or B-Form number you gave at purchase to the TCS staff at the gate. The FAQ adds that entry without an original CNIC or passport is not allowed, and coloured copies are refused.

1. Every seat is booked against its own CNIC or passport number. One card cannot cover two seats.
2. Bring the original card. A photocopy or a picture on your phone is not accepted.
3. Children under 18 can enter with a birth certificate. The head of family's CNIC must be entered correctly when you buy.
4. Every child over 4 needs a separate ticket.
5. Tickets cannot be transferred. Your details are checked at the gate.

The purchase limit is five tickets per match for each CNIC, passport or mobile number, according to a notice on the ticket site.

Security will take lighters, food, bottles and vuvuzelas

PCB's ticket terms list the items not allowed inside. They include firearms, toy guns, explosives, firecrackers, cigarettes, matchboxes, lighters, knives and other sharp items, and vuvuzelas. Food, drinks and bottles of any kind are also banned.

The terms do not set a bag size. A small bag clears the search faster.

Get your ticket by email, at a TCS centre or at the box office

Online buyers get an order confirmation number and an email with the e-ticket within a few minutes, according to the site's FAQ. The booking page can also offer self pickup and home delivery, with a delivery charge for home delivery. Paper tickets are sold at TCS Express Centres and a box office.

Online, you can pay by card or JazzCash. At a TCS centre you can pay cash. If the confirmation email does not arrive, check your spam folder, then call TCS support on 021-111-123456. The line runs 24 hours.

Save the e-ticket to your phone as a file or screenshot. Mobile data was cut in the September suspension in Islamabad and Rawalpindi.

The 2026 traffic plan is not out yet, so use the main roads

Rawalpindi traffic police had not published a traffic plan for these T20Is when we checked on 6 October. For past internationals the plan came out shortly before the first match, so watch for it this week. The general route is Murree Road or Double Road towards Stadium Road.

The stadium sits beside Nawaz Sharif Park, on Stadium Road between Double Road and the 9th Avenue side. For past internationals, traffic police were reported to close Stadium Road, set up spectator parking with shuttles, and shut Murree Road briefly while team buses passed.

1. Check the City Traffic Police Rawalpindi announcement on the day before each match.
2. Come by Metro Bus if you can. It runs along Murree Road, and the fare is Rs 30 a trip under the Rawalpindi Islamabad Metro Bus fares.
3. If you drive, use the parking sites the plan names, not the side streets near the ground.
4. Expect short closures on Murree Road when the teams travel. Leave extra time.

Most Metro Bus lines in Punjab run until about 10:00 pm. A 6:00 pm start finishing near 9:30 pm leaves little room, so have a backup way home.

Refunds depend on whether the toss happened

Under PCB's refund policy, a match cancelled before the toss gets a full refund of the ticket's face value. A match abandoned after the toss, or lost to bad weather once play has started, gets no refund. A rescheduled match can be refunded if you cannot attend the new date.

Requests go by post to the Head of Ticketing at the PCB Head Office, Gaddafi Stadium, Ferozepur Road, Lahore. PCB says it processes valid requests within 10 business days.
