Report Unsafe Food in Sindh, KP or Balochistan: Helplines and WhatsApp
Report unsafe food in Sindh, KP or Balochistan: helplines, WhatsApp numbers and online forms for each food authority, plus what to send so inspectors act.

Short answer: each province has its own food authority and its own number. In Sindh, call the Sindh Food Authority on 021-99336115 or WhatsApp 0330-0116553. In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, call toll free 0800-37432 or WhatsApp 0345-1009348. In Balochistan, call or WhatsApp 0333-4664507, or use the online form. Send a photo, the shop's name and its address.
We took these numbers from each authority's own website on 9 October 2026. Here is how to report a dirty kitchen, stale meat, fake milk or a shop selling expired packs in the three provinces.
Each province has a separate food authority and number
Food safety is a provincial subject in Pakistan. Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan each run a food authority with its own helpline, WhatsApp number and online complaint system. A Punjab number will not reach a Karachi or Peshawar inspector.
| Province | Authority | Call | Online | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Sindh | Sindh Food Authority | 021-99336115 | 0330-0116553 | Complaint Cell at sfa.gos.pk (account needed) |
| Khyber Pakhtunkhwa | KP Food Safety and Halal Food Authority | 0800-37432 (toll free) | 0345-1009348 | kpfsa.gov.pk |
| Balochistan | Balochistan Food Authority | 0333-4664507 | 0333-4664507 | Complaint form and tracking at bfa.gob.pk |
Punjab works differently again. It has the 1223 helpline and its own app, set out in the Punjab Food Authority complaint routes. If you live near a provincial border, check which province the shop is in before you call.

A useful complaint has a photo, an address and a time
Inspectors act faster when they can find the place and see the problem. Send a clear photo or short video, the shop or restaurant name, the full address or a map pin, the date and time, and what you saw or bought. Keep the receipt and any packaging.
- Take a photo or video. Show the problem: the dirty surface, the expired date, the insects, the colour of the milk. Do not argue with the staff.
- Note the place. Write the business name, street, area and city. A map location shared on WhatsApp helps.
- Keep the evidence. Keep the bill and the wrapper or bottle. If you fell ill, keep the doctor's slip too.
- Send it to the right province. Use the WhatsApp number or call the helpline from the table above.
- Save the complaint number. Ask for it on a call. In Balochistan you can track it on the website with that number.
Short and factual works best. "Chicken shop on X road, Peshawar, meat kept outside without ice at 3 pm on 9 October, photo attached" gives an inspector everything in one line.

Sindh Food Authority takes calls, WhatsApp and an online cell
The Sindh Food Authority's website lists 021-99336115 as its helpline and 0330-0116553 for complaints on WhatsApp. It also runs an online Complaint Cell. To use it you create an account with your details, then file and follow the complaint there.
For most people, WhatsApp is the quickest. It lets you attach photos straight from the phone. The online cell is better when you want a written record, for example if a restaurant made your family ill and you plan to take it further.
If the authority ignores a complaint for weeks, that delay is itself something you can take to the Sindh Ombudsman, which hears complaints about Sindh government offices for free.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has a toll free line and a star rating search
The KP Food Safety and Halal Food Authority lists a toll free number, 0800-37432, and a WhatsApp number, 0345-1009348. It also has a public search where you can look up a food business by name, district and type, and see its star rating.
That search is the part most people do not know about. Before you book a caterer or a wedding hall kitchen, type its name into the business search linked from kpfsa.gov.pk. Ratings run from one to five stars. A business that does not appear at all is worth asking about.
The authority's head office is in the New C and W Building on Khyber Road, Peshawar. It also lists offices in Mardan, Kohat, Dera Ismail Khan, Bannu and Swat. Its own report on bottled water testing, covering 23 August to 19 September 2025, is published on the same site.
A food complaint is not the same as a refund claim. If you want your money back or damages from a shop, a consumer court complaint in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is the route, and it has its own time limit.

Balochistan Food Authority works mainly on WhatsApp
The Balochistan Food Authority says consumers can call or message its WhatsApp number, 0333-4664507, or file through its website. After filing, you get a complaint number, and you can check the status on the authority's track your complaint page.
The tracking page is useful because you do not need to call again to find out what happened. Enter the complaint number and the site shows its status.
The authority has been running inspections in Quetta and Loralai in the past few days, according to reports. We could not find a press release on its own website, so we do not give inspection figures here.
Common questions
Can I report unsafe food anonymously?
The authorities' pages do not say. They ask for contact details so inspectors can follow up, so give a working number.
Is calling the KP food authority free?
Yes. 0800-37432 is listed as a toll free number.
Which number do I use in Karachi?
Call the Sindh Food Authority on 021-99336115 or send photos on WhatsApp to 0330-0116553.
Can the food authority get my money back?
No. It inspects and can fine or seal a business. For a refund or damages, go to a consumer court.
How do I report unsafe food in Punjab?
Punjab uses the 1223 helpline and the Punjab Food Authority app, not these numbers.
How do I check my complaint in Balochistan?
Use the track your complaint page on bfa.gob.pk with the complaint number you were given.
How we verified this
What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.
Last checked on 9 October 2026. We read the home and complaint pages of sfa.gos.pk, kpfsa.gov.pk (with its contact page and business star rating search) and bfa.gob.pk (with its FAQ and complaint tracking page). We did not file a complaint or call the numbers, so response times are not tested. Islamabad is not covered here.
