Short answer: After two T20Is against Sri Lanka, Pakistan captain Sahibzada Farhan has 162 runs and Maaz Sadaqat has 146. Together they made 308 of Pakistan's 402 runs in the series, about 77 per cent. Maaz scored faster, at 182 runs per 100 balls against 167 for Farhan.

The sums are ours. We added the two innings of each batter from the match scores. The 1st T20I figures come from the PCB scorecard as our desk recorded it on 9 October 2026. The 2nd T20I figures come from several match reports, because the PCB's scorecard pages were behind a security check on 12 October. Treat the totals as accurate to the reports, not as an official PCB table.

Sahibzada Farhan has 162 runs and Maaz Sadaqat has 146 after two matches

Farhan scored 89 off 53 balls and then 73 off 44, for 162 runs off 97 balls. Maaz scored 50 off 29 and then 96 off 51, for 146 runs off 80 balls. Nobody else on either side is close to those totals.

By our reading no Sri Lankan batter can match them either. Lahiru Udara made 91 in the 1st match, and the best Sri Lankan score in the 2nd match was Maheesh Theekshana's 32 not out. That is our reading of the reports, and we have not seen a full series table.

Maaz Sadaqat scored faster than the captain

A strike rate is the number of runs scored per 100 balls. Maaz made 146 off 80 balls, which is 182.5 runs per 100 balls. Farhan made 162 off 97, which is 167.0. Both are above 160, a very quick rate in T20 cricket.

Maaz's 50 in the 1st match was reported as his first T20I fifty. In the 2nd match he went to 96 off 51 balls and missed a century by four runs. He hit 7 sixes in that innings and took 22 runs off one Theekshana over, as the match report put it.

Farhan's pace came earlier. He chased 183 in the first match and took 89 runs off 53 balls. This is his first series as Pakistan T20I captain at home. The PCB named him captain for all three games in its release of 5 October. Our Pakistan T20I squad for the Sri Lanka series has the squad list.

Farhan hit 14 fours and 9 sixes, Maaz 10 fours and 10 sixes

Farhan's two innings had 10 and 4 fours and 4 and 5 sixes. Maaz's had 4 and 6 fours and 3 and 7 sixes. By our count Farhan scored 110 of his 162 runs in boundaries and Maaz scored 100 of his 146.

Boundaries hit in two T20Is: Farhan 14 fours and 9 sixes, Maaz Sadaqat 10 fours and 10 sixes

The four-and-six counts for the 2nd match come from a single match report, so please use them with care. The 1st match counts come from the PCB scorecard recorded on 9 October. The run totals do not depend on the boundary counts.

Their two stands were worth 92 and about 88 runs

In the 1st match Farhan and Maaz added 92 for the second wicket, by our count from the fall of wickets. In the 2nd match the match report gave their stand as 88. Together that is about 180 runs in the two matches.

  1. 1st T20I: Farhan and Maaz added 92, taking Pakistan from 54 for 1 to 146 for 2.
  2. 2nd T20I: they added about 88 after Pakistan had only 46 in the first six overs.
  3. Both stands ended with a Pakistan win, by 4 wickets and by 82 runs.
The two Farhan and Maaz partnerships: 92 runs in the 1st T20I and about 88 in the 2nd

The first match was close at the end. Pakistan went from 146 for 2 to 180 for 6 before Khawaja Nafay hit the winning six. Our report on the 1st T20I result in Rawalpindi has that collapse in detail.

Together they made 77 per cent of Pakistan's runs

Pakistan scored 187 for 6 in the first match and 215 for 3 in the second, which is 402 runs. Farhan and Maaz scored 308 of them. That is 76.6 per cent, or about three runs in every four. The other batters and the extras made the other 94.

That is a strength and a risk. Pakistan won both games, but a side that leans on two batters can lose if both fail. Sri Lanka will know that before Tuesday. Our 3rd T20I preview for Rawalpindi gives the time and tickets for the last match.

Neither batter is in the ODI squad for the tri-series

Farhan and Maaz are not in the 16-man ODI squad for the tri-series with England and Sri Lanka from 18 October. So their next chance in Pakistan colours is the last T20I on Tuesday. After that the next home T20Is are, reportedly, three against Ireland in January 2027.

The ODI squad is in our list of the Pakistan, England and Sri Lanka tri-series squads. The Ireland dates are reported only. We could not read them on a PCB page on 12 October. Watch the board's own release for the T20I squad before you plan on any player.
