Airblue Baggage Allowance in Pakistan: No Checked Bag on Value, 20 kg on Flexi, 30 kg on Xtra

Airblue lets every passenger carry a 7 kg hand bag, but only the Flexi fare includes a 20 kg checked bag and only the Xtra fare includes a 30 kg checked bag. The cheapest Value fare allows no checked bag at all. Counters on domestic flights close 45 minutes before departure, and on international flights 90 minutes before.
Many travellers buy the lowest fare, turn up with a suitcase, and pay at the counter. We read Airblue's ticket terms page, its extra baggage page and its help page on 21 October 2026. Everything below comes from those three pages.
Airblue sells three fares, and the checked bag depends on the fare
Value allows a 7 kg hand carry and no checked bag. Flexi allows a 7 kg hand carry and one 20 kg checked bag. Xtra allows a 7 kg hand carry and one 30 kg checked bag. Pick the fare before you pack, not at the airport.

Airblue says all three fares include meals and preferred seat selection. The pages we read do not publish the price of extra baggage, so we cannot tell you what an extra kilo costs. Ask the call centre before you book if you expect to carry more.
A Value fare passenger with a suitcase has to sort it out before the airport
On the Value fare the ticket terms say checked bags are not allowed. If you need a suitcase, ask Airblue to move you to Flexi or Xtra before you travel. We could not find a published price for doing this, so call 111-247-258.
This catches students and families the most. A bag that looks small still goes into the hold if it is over 7 kg, and then the Value fare has no place for it. A good habit is to weigh the bag at home on a kitchen scale before you leave.

Check-in opens 2.5 hours before a domestic flight and counters close 45 minutes before
Airblue says check-in opens 2.5 hours before departure on domestic flights and 4 hours before on international flights. Counters close 45 minutes before a domestic departure and 90 minutes before an international one. The page also tells guests to check in 2 hours before.
Those two statements sit side by side on the page. We read both as published and suggest you aim for the 2 hour mark, which keeps you safe either way. Airblue's online check-in page says you can check in from a phone or a computer, using your booking reference or PNR, then save or print the boarding pass.
If you plan to use the app, the page says it is on Google Play and the App Store, and that a boarding pass can be saved to a mobile wallet. A similar flow for PIA is in the PIA online check-in steps.
Refunds need a CNIC for every passenger and exchanges stay on the same sector
Airblue says refunds are allowed on all fares, with the fee shown on the e-ticket. A national identity card number must be given for every guest. Exchanges are allowed for the same sector only, with a fee per guest and any fare difference.
The terms add that the same fare is not guaranteed when you exchange. That means the seat you hold today may cost more on the new date. Value pays the higher fee, Xtra the lower one. The pages do not print the fee amounts, so we cannot give them.
Name corrections cannot be made on the website. The help page says to call Airblue, and that a change made through a reservations agent typically carries a fee of up to Rs 300. It does not say how long a refund takes.
How to avoid a baggage surprise at the Airblue counter
Work out your fare, your weight and your timing before you leave home. The steps below take about ten minutes and save the argument at the counter.
- Open your booking and note the fare name: Value, Flexi or Xtra.
- Weigh your hand bag and keep it to 7 kg.
- If you are on Value and need a suitcase, call 111-247-258 before the day of travel.
- Check in online or at the counter at least 2 hours before departure.
- Keep your CNIC with you, since refunds and changes ask for it.
- Keep the baggage tag until the bag is in your hand.
