Dow University BS Nursing Admission 2026-27 in Karachi: Apply by 20 November, Rs 3,000 Form
Dow University's BS Nursing and Post RN forms for 2026-27 close on 20 November. Need 50% FSc and Sindh domicile. Rs 3,000 form, first year Rs 249,100. Steps.

Dow University of Health Sciences in Karachi is taking applications for its four-year BS Nursing and two-year Post RN BS Nursing for 2026-27 until Friday 20 November 2026. The online form opened on 19 October and costs Rs 3,000. You need a Sindh PRC and domicile. For BS Nursing you also need FSc pre-medical with at least 50 per cent and an age of 17 to 35.
The programmes are taught at the Dow Institute of Nursing and Midwifery (DIONAM) on the university's Ojha campus. We read the advert and the 20 page prospectus on the Dow University (DUHS) website on 20 October 2026. The first-year bill is the number most families ask about, so it is near the top: Rs 249,100 for BS Nursing before taxes, without transport.
Dow offers two nursing degrees with 300 seats in all
BS Nursing (Generic) is a four-year degree with 100 seats in the morning and 100 in the evening. Post RN BS Nursing is a two-year degree for diploma nurses, with 100 morning seats. Each programme splits seats equally between men and women.
| Programme | Length | Seats | Who it is for |
|---|---|---|---|
| BS Nursing (Generic), morning | 4 years | 100 (50 men, 50 women) | FSc pre-medical students |
| BS Nursing (Generic), evening | 4 years | 100 (50 men, 50 women) | FSc pre-medical students |
| Post RN BS Nursing, morning | 2 years | 100 (50 men, 50 women) | Registered nurses with a diploma |
Seat numbers come from the prospectus. The advert itself does not give them. DIONAM says it has graduated 422 BS Nursing students and has 690 more studying, so it is not a new institute testing the waters.

BS Nursing needs FSc pre-medical with 50 per cent
For BS Nursing you need matric science and FSc pre-medical with at least 50 per cent, with Biology, Chemistry and Physics in both. You must be 17 to 35 years old and hold a Sindh PRC and domicile.
Post RN BS Nursing has a different set of rules:
- Matric with science, or matric with arts as allowed under an HEC notification of 6 April 2018.
- A three-year diploma in General Nursing.
- A one-year diploma in Midwifery. Men can offer any post-basic specialty instead.
- One year of clinical experience.
- Valid registration with the nursing council.
- A Sindh PRC and domicile.
Students from other provinces cannot apply on these seats. The Sindh PRC (permanent residence certificate) is a separate document from the domicile, and the advert asks for both.

The first year costs Rs 249,100 for BS Nursing
BS Nursing costs Rs 249,100 in the first year without transport, or Rs 299,100 with it. Post RN costs Rs 225,054, or Rs 275,054 with transport. Government taxes are extra, and DUHS says all fees rise 10 per cent every year.
| Item | BS Nursing | Post RN BSN |
|---|---|---|
| Admission fee, once | Rs 45,000 | Rs 45,000 |
| Tuition, per year | Rs 181,600 | Rs 157,554 |
| Student activity, per year | Rs 10,000 | Rs 10,000 |
| Library, per year | Rs 10,000 | Rs 10,000 |
| Document verification, once | Rs 2,500 | Rs 2,500 |
| First year total | Rs 249,100 | Rs 225,054 |
| Transport, optional, per year | Rs 50,000 | Rs 50,000 |
With the 10 per cent yearly rise, BS Nursing tuition alone comes to about Rs 842,800 over four years. That is our arithmetic from the prospectus, before activity, library and transport charges. Late payment adds 5 per cent, and DUHS says a seat can be cancelled after four months without payment.

Leaving after admission can cost the full tuition
Every BS student signs an undertaking not to waste the seat. The prospectus says anyone who withdraws or fails to join after getting admission pays a seat wastage penalty equal to the tuition fee of the complete programme.
That is the line to read twice. If you are also waiting on an MBBS list, such as the Sindh public MBBS and BDS admission, find out how the penalty applies before you accept a nursing seat. The prospectus says fees already paid are refunded under DUHS's own refund policy, and HEC publishes fee refund rules for universities too.
Hostel space is offered only to female students, on a need basis. Men need their own housing plan in Karachi.

How we verified this
What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.
We read the DUHS admission notice for BS Nursing and Post RN BS Nursing 2026-27, the advert image on that page and the DIONAM prospectus 2026-27 on 20 October 2026. The four-year tuition estimate is our arithmetic from the 10 per cent yearly rise. We did not open the application portal itself, and the test date, merit formula and refund schedule were not published when we checked.
