How to Apply on OEC Global Jobs in Pakistan: Free, No Agent, and What the 17,139 Listings Really Are
OEC Global Jobs lets you apply to foreign employers free, with no agent. We counted 17,139 listings in 37 countries. See the steps and which listings are real.

Short answer: OEC Global Jobs is a free section of the Overseas Employment Corporation's job portal, jobs.oec.gov.pk, where you search foreign vacancies and apply yourself. OEC says no profile and no agent are needed. When we checked on 20 October 2026 it held 17,139 listings in 37 countries, but only about a third pointed to a specific live vacancy.
OEC is the government's own recruiter, under the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development. It put out a public awareness notice on OEC Global Jobs in August 2026, which is still on its announcements page. We read that notice, then queried the Global Jobs listing ourselves to see what is really in it. This guide covers both.
OEC Global Jobs lets you apply to foreign employers yourself
OEC Global Jobs is a search page for foreign jobs inside OEC's portal. OEC's notice says you need no OEC profile and no agent. You find a job, read its details and apply through the "Apply" option. Nobody should charge you a fee for this.
That is different from OEC's usual route, where it recruits against a specific employer demand, tests candidates and processes their visas. That route is covered in our page on applying for OEC overseas jobs. Global Jobs is closer to a public job board run by a government body.
- Visit jobs.oec.gov.pk.
- Click "Global Jobs".
- Search for a job that matches your skills and qualifications.
- Read the job description and eligibility criteria carefully.
- Submit your application through the "Apply" option.
Those are the five steps printed on OEC's notice. For help, OEC's helpdesk is on UAN 0311-0011-632 and helpdesk@oec.gov.pk, both printed on the notice.

We counted 17,139 listings in 37 countries
On 20 October 2026, OEC's Global Jobs summary showed 17,139 listings. Europe had 9,748, the Gulf (GCC) 4,951 and the Far East 2,440. The 37 countries run from Saudi Arabia and the UAE to Germany, Japan, South Korea and Romania.
| Filter | Listings on 20 October 2026 |
|---|---|
| Saudi Arabia | 905 |
| UAE | 905 |
| Kuwait | 905 |
| Qatar | 903 |
| Oman | 724 |
| Bahrain | 609 |
| Germany, UK, Japan, South Korea, Italy, Poland (each) | 305 |
By skill level, 7,672 listings are marked Skilled, 2,728 Professional, 2,695 Semi-Skilled, 1,773 Highly Skilled, 1,536 Unskilled and 735 Highly Professional. Those add up to the same 17,139. The page also shows a counter of 4,662,985 openings. We could not check that figure, and the next section explains why.
Only about a third of the listings point to a live vacancy
The listings come from three sources. About 3,121 link to a private Gulf job board and 3,038 to the European Union's EURES job portal. The other 10,980, about 64 per cent, come from a dataset that OEC's system labels as a ministry list from April 2025.
The first two groups link to one specific advert. You can open it and see the employer's own post. The April 2025 group is different. Its entries we opened gave an "indicative pay" range, a rough openings number per employer, and links to general job sites or government visa pages, not to a named vacancy. We could not match any of them to a live job.
So treat those entries as market information: which countries hire which trades, and roughly what they pay. They are not job offers. Our split is based on the order of the list when we checked, and OEC may change or refresh it. The newest listing we saw was loaded on 20 August 2026.

A direct job still needs your protector stamp
Finding a job yourself does not skip Pakistan's emigration rules. If a foreign employer hires you directly, you still register with the Protector of Emigrants before you leave. That registration gives you insurance and a record of your contract.
The process, fees and documents are in our guide to the Protector of Emigrants. For Gulf jobs, you may also need the PakSoftSkills certificate first. Keep the employer's offer letter and visa papers, because the Protector's office asks for them.
OEC warns against paying anyone for these jobs
OEC's notice lists five things not to do. Do not pay anyone for a guaranteed overseas job. Do not pay an intermediary to submit your Global Jobs application. Do not trust unofficial adverts or messages.
Also, do not share personal information or account passwords with strangers, and do not hand over original documents to unauthorised people. If an agent has already taken your money, you can act under the Emigration Ordinance, as set out in our page on reporting an unlicensed job agent. Be extra careful with offers from Southeast Asia, where Pakistanis have been lured into scam compounds.

How we verified this
What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.
Last checked 20 October 2026. The steps, warnings and helpdesk details come from OEC's "OEC Global Jobs: Public Awareness Notice", posted on 6 August 2026 on the OEC website, which we read as an image. The listing totals, the country, region and skill counts, and the split by source are our own queries of the public Global Jobs listing on OEC's job portal on 20 October 2026. We could not verify the 4,662,985 openings counter or any listing in the April 2025 dataset. We did not test the "Apply" button with a real application.
