Cadet College Sanghar will hold its Class 8 and 9 entry test on Sunday 31 January 2027. Age 12 to 14.5 on 31 March, seat shares, five papers and test centres.

Cadet College Sanghar will hold its entrance test for Class 8 and Class 9 admission, session 2027 to 2028, on Sunday 31 January 2027. The college posted the date on its website on 25 October 2026 and told candidates to follow the schedule and instructions it issues.
The notice gives the date and classes only. It does not give a last date for forms or the fee. Below is what the college's own admission policy says about age, seats, subjects and centres, so families in Sindh and beyond can prepare now. We read the notice and the policy page on 25 October 2026.
Cadet College Sanghar set its 2027 entry test for Sunday 31 January
The college's latest update, dated 25 October 2026, says the entrance test for admission to Classes 8 and 9 for session 2027 to 2028 will be held on Sunday 31 January 2027. Candidates are told to appear as per the schedule and instructions issued by the college.

The admission policy says openings are normally announced in English, Urdu and Sindhi newspapers between December and February. So expect the form deadline to be announced closer to January.

Boys must be 12 to 14 and a half on 31 March to sit for Class 8
Cadet College Sanghar's policy says a Class 8 candidate must be at least 12 and not over 14 and a half on 31 March of the admission year, and must have passed Class 7. Class 9 takes boys aged 12 and a half to 15.
Boys still studying in Class 7 can apply provisionally, the policy says. For the 2027 entry, count the age from 31 March 2027 using the NADRA B-Form. For Class 11, the policy gives an age range of 15 to 17.
The policy also says regular entry is only in Class 8. Seats in Classes 9 and 11 are offered under a self-finance scheme where places are available, so fees there are likely to be higher. The college had not filled in the amounts on its fee page when we checked.
Most seats are reserved by Sindh division, with set shares for other provinces
Sons of people domiciled in Sindh apply against seats reserved for each division: Mirpurkhas, Hyderabad, Karachi, Sukkur and Larkana. The policy reserves 5 per cent for Balochistan, 5 per cent for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab, and 1 per cent for AJK.
| Seat group | Share in the policy |
|---|---|
| Sindh divisions (Mirpurkhas, Hyderabad, Karachi, Sukkur, Larkana) | Remaining seats, split by division |
| Balochistan | 5 per cent |
| Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab | 5 per cent |
| AJK | 1 per cent |
The policy says the detailed seat allocation is in the college prospectus. That is different from Cadet College Hasan Abdal, which takes everyone on open merit with no regional quota.

The written test has five papers of 50 marks each
Candidates sit Mathematics, English, IQ and General Knowledge, Elementary Science, and either Urdu or Sindhi. Each paper is 50 marks. English and Urdu or Sindhi take one hour each, Science and Maths 45 minutes each, and IQ 30 minutes.
- English: 50 marks, 1 hour.
- Urdu or Sindhi, the candidate's choice: 50 marks, 1 hour.
- Mathematics: 50 marks, 45 minutes, in English, Urdu or Sindhi.
- Elementary Science: 50 marks, 45 minutes, in English, Urdu or Sindhi.
- IQ and General Knowledge: 50 marks, 30 minutes.
The test is set at Class 7 level for Class 8 entry. The policy says model papers come with the prospectus, but any suitable question may be set. Short papers reward speed, so practise against a clock, not just for correct answers.
Test centres in the policy are Karachi, Hyderabad, Mirpurkhas, Larkana, Nawabshah, Sukkur, Multan, Lahore, Rawalpindi, Quetta and the college campus. Choose your centre on the form. Results are normally sent within four weeks of the test.

Forms for the last session went by post to the college
The college's admission form page, still headed Admissions 2025-26, tells applicants to download the form and send it to Cadet College Sanghar at Jam Nawaz Ali, via Tando Adam. A 2027 form had not been posted when we checked.
For help, the college lists 0235-548126, 0235-548008 and 0300-2999016. Call before you post anything, and ask whether the 2027 form will be online or by post. Keep a copy and a courier receipt of anything you send.
Other cadet colleges close much sooner
Sanghar's January test gives families time, but other colleges are earlier. Cadet College Okara closes on 2 November 2026 and tests on 14 November. Cadet College Hasan Abdal closes on 4 December and tests on 27 December.
The cadet college admission 2027 last dates list compares five colleges side by side. For families in upper Sindh, the Sindh Talent Hunt Program 2027 is a separate free route at a later stage of schooling.
