Sindh Talent Hunt Program 2027: Free BS at Sukkur IBA, Apply by 29 October
Sukkur IBA's Sindh Talent Hunt Program 2027 gives 100 Sindh students a free degree and Rs 5,000 a month. Apply by 29 October 2026, test on 8 November. Rules.
Apply for the Sindh Talent Hunt Program 2027 at applyadmission.iba-suk.edu.pk by 29 October 2026. The admission test is on 8 November. Sukkur IBA University picks 200 Sindh students for a free foundation semester. The top 100 then study a four-year degree with no tuition or admission fee and a Rs 5,000 monthly allowance.
The programme is run by Sukkur IBA University with the Government of Sindh. It is for students with a Sindh domicile who passed intermediate in 2024, 2025 or 2026. We read the advert, the eligibility sheet and a separate admissions notice on the university's site on 20 October 2026. One date on the site's own table does not match the advert, which we explain below.
Sindh Talent Hunt 2027 offers a free degree to 100 students
Selection is in two stages. First, 200 students join a foundation semester in English, Mathematics and ICT. Then the top 100, with a GPA of at least 2.2, get the full scholarship for a four-year degree at the Sukkur main campus.

The advert says the Rs 5,000 monthly allowance is paid for eight semesters only. If your CGPA drops below 2.2, the waiver is "subject to" that minimum, so a weak semester puts the whole scholarship at risk. That is the real catch, and it is worth knowing before you choose a hard programme.
You need a Sindh domicile and intermediate from 2024 to 2026
Applicants must hold a Sindh domicile and have passed intermediate or an equivalent from any board in 2024, 2025 or 2026. Selection is merit-cum-need. Students already picked for STHP or NTHP in Fall 2026 cannot apply again.
That last rule comes from Sukkur IBA's notice of 13 October 2026 on undergraduate admissions 2027. It also says you should apply for only one degree programme, after checking you meet its rules. The National Talent Hunt Program (NTHP) is a separate Sukkur IBA scheme with its own intake.
Each degree has its own minimum marks
Most programmes need 50 per cent in HSSC with no supplementary. Electrical Engineering and Computer Systems Engineering need 60 per cent in pre-engineering, ICS or a relevant three-year DAE. Pre-medical students can take computing degrees with two extra maths courses.

For the three computing degrees, the eligibility sheet cites an NCEAC notification of 8 September 2026 that applies from admission year 2027. Pre-medical students are eligible but must finish two extra mathematics courses, six credit hours in all, in their first year. Students with neither maths nor pre-medical are not eligible. The NCEAC (National Computing Education Accreditation Council) rule matters later too, because HEC attests only NCEAC accredited computing degrees from 2027.
How to apply for the Sindh Talent Hunt Program
Apply online on Sukkur IBA's admission portal before 29 October, choose one programme and a test centre, then sit the admission test on 8 November 2026 in Sukkur, Karachi, Larkana, Hyderabad, Mirpurkhas or Naushahro Feroze.
- Check your domicile is from Sindh and your intermediate year is 2024, 2025 or 2026.
- Read the eligibility sheet and pick one programme you qualify for.
- Apply at applyadmission.iba-suk.edu.pk and choose the Sindh Talent Hunt Program 2027.
- Pick the test centre nearest you.
- Download the sample paper from the announcements page and practise.
- Sit the admission test on 8 November 2026.
The advert does not state an application fee. Check the portal before you pay anything, and pay only through the method the portal shows.
The site table and the advert show different last dates
The advert dated 12 October gives 29 October 2026 as the last date to apply and 8 November as the test date. The table on Sukkur IBA's announcements page lists 8 November as the "last date". Treat 29 October as your deadline.
The table most likely shows the test date in the wrong column, but we could not confirm that with the university. Applying early costs you nothing, and waiting for 8 November could cost you the seat.
After the test, seats on the degree are given by merit. Sukkur IBA's notice says the merit list goes on its website and candidates are called one by one in merit order in the Auditorium Hall to choose from programmes that still have seats.
Other help for Sindh students
If you miss this round or are not selected, Sindh has other routes. The Sindh Educational Endowment Fund scholarship supports students at many universities, and Karachi students can look at the IBA Karachi Fall 2027 admission, which runs on its own dates.

We read the Sukkur IBA admissions announcements page on 20 October 2026 and opened two of its three Sindh Talent Hunt Program 2027 files: the advert dated 12 October and the eligibility criteria dated 13 October. We did not open the sample paper. We also read the notice on undergraduate admissions 2027 dated 13 October 2026. We did not find an application fee, the number of seats per programme or a confirmation of which last date is correct.
