How to Check Your Court Case Status in Sindh: High Court and District Courts
Check a Sindh High Court or district court case online: the search form fields, the daily cause list and how to verify a court notice. Read the steps first.

Open cases.shc.gov.pk, pick the court where your case sits, and fill in the case number, year and category. The High Court of Sindh runs one search page for its Karachi seat, its Sukkur bench, its Hyderabad, Larkana and Mirpurkhas circuit courts, and the district courts. The same site family also publishes the daily cause list, which tells you whether your case is up for hearing.
Many families in Sindh still learn their hearing date from a lawyer's clerk, or from a phone call the night before. That works until the clerk is busy or the date moves. The courts now publish most of this information online, and you can read it yourself in a few minutes.
We opened the High Court of Sindh's home page and its case search, cause list and e-notice pages on 14 October 2026. We did not search for a real case, because the forms need a genuine case number. So we describe what each form asks for and what each page offers.
One search page covers the High Court and the district courts
The page at cases.shc.gov.pk lists six places to search: the Principal Seat in Karachi, the Bench at Sukkur, and the Circuit Courts at Hyderabad, Larkana and Mirpurkhas, plus the District Courts of Sindh. Choose the one that holds your case.
A "cause list" is the court's list of cases to be heard on a given day. A "case search" shows the file for one case. They are different tools, and you will often want both.
| What you want | Where on the court sites | What it shows |
|---|---|---|
| Status of a High Court case | Case Search at cases.shc.gov.pk | Case details by number, year, category, bench and court |
| Status of a district court case | District Courts of Sindh search (cases.districtcourtssindh.gos.pk) | Case details, filtered by district and type of court |
| Today's hearings | Cause List on sindhhighcourt.gov.pk or the district courts site | Cases listed for the day |
| Which judge sits when | Roster Sittings on sindhhighcourt.gov.pk | Sitting arrangements of the High Court |
| Is a notice genuine | Verify Notice on the district courts site | A check of an electronic notice |

The High Court search form takes a case number, year and category
The advanced search form for the Principal Seat in Karachi has fields for Case No, Case Year, Case Category, Bench (single or divisional) and Court. The form says to fill any one field and press Search. If you do not know a detail, leave it blank.
The category list is long. It includes Constitutional Petition (shown as Const. P.), Criminal Bail (Cr.Bail), Suit, Civil Appeal, Divorce Petition, Execution, Labour Appeal and many tax categories. Your case number on the paper you hold starts with that short code, for example "Const. P. No. 123 of 2026". Copy the code, the number and the year exactly as printed.
- Open cases.shc.gov.pk and choose the High Court seat or circuit court that holds your case.
- Choose Search Case and pick the Case Category that matches the code on your paper.
- Type the Case No and the Case Year.
- Press Search and read the case details on screen.
- Write down the next date and the court it is listed in, then check the cause list the day before.

The High Court's home page also lists a mobile app for Android, and an iOS app called SHC Case Flow Management. Use the links on the court's own page, so you do not install a lookalike.
District court cases are searched by district and court type
The district courts site has its own case search. Its district list has 29 entries, from Karachi (South), (West), (East), (Central) and (Malir) to Hyderabad, Sukkur, Larkana and Sujawal. A court type list sits beside it. It covers ordinary district courts and special courts such as Anti-Terrorism, Banking, Labour, Consumer Protection, Gas Theft and the Karachi Water and Sewerage Corporation Tribunal.
That list helps if your matter is a special one. A complaint under the Sindh consumer law goes to the consumer court, and the steps are in the guide to filing a consumer court complaint in Sindh. A criminal case that began with a police complaint sits in a criminal court. If police refused to register your report in the first place, see how to get an FIR registered in Sindh.
The site also has three cause list views. One is the main cause list. One is by advocate, which suits a lawyer who wants the day's cases in one place. One is by police station, which lists criminal cases by the station that filed them.

Check the cause list the day before every hearing
A case status page may show an old date. The cause list shows what the court plans for the day. Open it the evening before your hearing, find your case number, and note the court room or bench shown against it.
The High Court keeps its cause list at sindhhighcourt.gov.pk/causelist.php, with sections for Karachi, Hyderabad, Larkana, Mirpurkhas and Sukkur. The district courts site has its own Causelist menu. A listed case is still not a promise that it will be heard. Courts adjourn cases, and a long list can run past the end of the day.
If you cannot afford a lawyer, the Supreme Court's helpline can point you to free legal aid. See how to call 1818 for free legal aid before you miss a date.
Verify a court notice before you act on it
The High Court's e-Courts project says it sends notices by email, WhatsApp and SMS as well as on paper. The district courts site has a Verify Notice page and a list of official WhatsApp numbers, one per district.
That list is useful against fake messages. We read it on 14 October 2026. It shows 20 districts, with a bailiff email for each. Karachi (East) is 0335-2336078, Karachi (Central) is 0333-1838374 and Karachi (Malir) is 0316-8229965. The list we read does not include Karachi (South) or Karachi (West). Check the page again, because court offices change numbers.
If a message about a case reaches you from any other number, do not pay money or click a link inside it. Compare the case number with the official search first.
Common questions about checking a case in Sindh
Is it free to check a case status online in Sindh?
The High Court's advanced search form we opened asked for case details only. It did not ask for a payment or a login. Court sites can change, so look at the page before you type any personal detail.
What if I do not know the case category?
Fill what you know and leave the rest blank, as the form itself instructs. A case number and year often narrow the result enough. Check the paper you were given for the short code before the number.
Can I search by a lawyer's name?
The High Court's site has an Advocate's Cases view, and the district courts site has an advocate-wise cause list. Both are meant for lawyers. A litigant can use them to confirm the day's list.
Where do I check an Anti-Terrorism Court or Banking Court case?
Use the district courts site and choose the matching court type, such as Anti-Terrorism Courts or Banking Courts, together with the district. The type list on the form names them.
Does the site show a live hearing?
The High Court and district court sites both list Online Court Proceedings, called OCP. It gives live case status as proceedings move through the courtroom. We did not test it on a live hearing.
How we verified this
What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.
Last checked 14 October 2026. We read the High Court of Sindh's home page, its Cause List page, its case search at cases.shc.gov.pk, the Karachi case search form, the district courts case search and cause list pages, and the e-Notices pages. We did not run a search on a real case and we did not test the apps. The form fields and lists come from those pages and may change. Court information on this page is a reading aid and not legal advice.
