Short answer: On most Emirates flights from Pakistan, Economy passengers get 20, 25, 30 or 35 kg of checked baggage, depending on the fare: Special, Saver, Flex or Flex Plus. No single bag may weigh over 32 kg. Flights to the Americas and Africa count pieces instead of kilos.

Most Pakistani families fly Emirates with more luggage than the ticket allows, and the airport desk is the worst place to find that out. We read the Emirates Pakistan baggage pages on 14 October 2026. This guide shows what each fare gives, how big a bag can be, and what changes on the Americas and Africa routes.

Weight is what counts on most routes from Pakistan

Emirates uses the weight concept on most routes. You may check as many bags as you like, as long as the total stays inside the allowance for your class and fare, and each bag weighs 32 kg or less.

Class and fareChecked baggage allowance (weight concept)
Economy Special20 kg
Economy Saver25 kg
Economy Flex30 kg
Economy Flex Plus35 kg
Premium Economy35 kg
Business Class40 kg
First Class50 kg

Emirates says your allowance depends on where you travel, your fare and your class. Some Skywards members get extra. Always confirm your own figure under Manage your booking, because that page is built for your exact ticket.

Each bag has a weight and size limit

Under the weight concept, one bag must not exceed 32 kg, and length plus width plus height must not exceed 203 cm. Larger items cannot go as checked baggage and must travel as cargo.

That 32 kg limit matters for families who pack one huge bag. Split the weight across two bags. A 38 kg bag breaks the rule even if your total allowance would cover it. Check your home scale before you leave.

Americas and Africa flights count pieces

The piece concept applies to flights to and from the Americas and, for tickets issued on or after 9 August 2021, flights into Africa. Economy Special gets one bag of 23 kg. Saver, Flex and Flex Plus get two bags of 23 kg.

Premium Economy gets two bags of 23 kg each. Business and First get two bags of 32 kg each. For piece concept bags, length plus width plus height must not exceed 150 cm, and bags between 150 and 203 cm are charged an oversize fee. If your trip from Asia to the Americas includes a Europe leg or a Dubai stopover over 24 hours, Emirates says the weight concept applies to the whole ticket.

Cabin bags have their own limits

Emirates lists carry-on limits of 7 kg or 10 kg depending on class and route, with a maximum size of 55 by 38 by 22 cm. Business and First passengers may also carry a briefcase or garment bag. Check the exact figure for your seat in Manage your booking.

  1. Pack liquids in containers of 100 ml or less, inside one transparent resealable bag of one litre.
  2. Medicines and baby milk are exempt, but you must be able to show what they are.
  3. Keep power banks in the cabin, as explained in our guide to power bank rules on flights from Pakistan.
  4. Put your passport, tickets and medicine in the cabin bag, not the checked bag.
Emirates cabin baggage size and liquid rules

Powders in containers of 350 ml or more are not allowed in carry-on bags on flights to, from or through the USA, and on flights from or through Australia and New Zealand. Baby formula and prescription medicines are exempt.

Infants get their own allowance

For an infant under 2, Emirates allows one cabin bag up to 5 kg, plus 10 kg of checked baggage on most routes. On routes to and from the Americas and Africa the checked allowance for an infant is 23 kg.

The allowance is printed on the infant's ticket. Ask at check-in whether space allows a collapsible stroller, a carrycot or a car seat in the cabin at no charge. For a domestic trip, compare baggage allowance on five Pakistani airlines.

How we verified this

What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.
