Short answer: Pakistan's women are 56th on the FIH outdoor hockey world ranking, with 1,172.00 points. They are 12th among the Asian teams on the list. The FIH page shows no last-match date for Pakistan, where most teams show one, so we cannot tell when the team last played a ranked match.

We opened the International Hockey Federation (FIH) outdoor rankings page on 13 October 2026 and read the women's table, which lists 88 teams. Most people look up the men's ranking. The women's list tells a different story, and it is worth knowing where the team starts from.

Pakistan's women are 56th with 1,172.00 points

Pakistan sits 56th of 88 teams on 1,172.00 points. Hungary are one place above on 1,176.23, and Puerto Rico one place below on 1,153.00. The Netherlands lead the world on 4,083.09 points, 2,911.09 points ahead of Pakistan.

The nearest teams are close together. Pakistan are 4.23 points behind Hungary and 19.00 points ahead of Puerto Rico. One ranked match could move any of them.

Pakistan's women are far behind China and India. The gap to China is 1,946.35 points. The listed Asian teams that are ranked below Pakistan include Uzbekistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.

The next Asian team above Pakistan is only 33.80 points away

Singapore are the nearest Asian team above Pakistan, in 45th place on 1,205.80 points. That is 33.80 points more than Pakistan. Kazakhstan, in 44th, lead Pakistan by 43.27 points. Indonesia, in 42nd, lead by 57.65.

These gaps are small next to the 1,946.35 points between Pakistan and China. The FIH page does not say how many points a single match moves, so we do not estimate how many ranked results it would take to pass them.

A dash in the last-match column means no match is shown

For most teams the FIH shows the date of the last match played. For Pakistan's women it shows a dash. The page does not explain the dash, so we read it as no ranked match on record, and we cannot say more than that.

The FIH says its ranking is match-based. Teams exchange points in each match, and the number depends on the result, how the two teams rank and how important the match is. Points only move when ranked matches are played. A team with no match date shown has no recent change to report. That is our reading of the method, not an FIH statement about Pakistan.

The men's side has a separate list and a separate route to the Olympics, set out in the guide to Pakistan hockey's road to the LA28 Olympics.

Check the women's ranking in four steps

Open the FIH rankings page, choose Outdoor, and switch from Men's to Women's. Find Pakistan, which sits in the Asian Hockey Federation, and read the rank, the points and the last match column. Compare it with teams listed just above and below.

  1. Go to the FIH website and open Rankings, then Outdoor.
  2. Click Women's, above the table.
  3. Find Pakistan, and read the rank and points.
  4. Look at the last match column for a date or a dash.
Four steps to check Pakistan's women's hockey ranking on the FIH website

Write down the rank and the points when you check, and look again after the next international window. Because the table shows a date for each team, you can tell at once whether a change came from a match or from other teams moving past.

The same method works for other sports bodies' ranking lists. We explain the football list in the guide to Pakistan's FIFA world ranking, and the women's cricket list in the guide to Pakistan women's ICC rankings.

The page does not give a date for the table's last update and does not explain the dash. We did not verify when Pakistan's women last played a ranked match.
