How to Check If a Share Can Trade in PSX Futures, Odd Lot or Bond Markets in Pakistan
Use the PSX Eligible Scrips page to see which symbols can trade in each market. We read all nine tabs on 22 October 2026: regular, futures, odd lot and bonds.

Short answer: Open dps.psx.com.pk, choose Eligible Scrips and pick a tab. Each tab lists the symbols allowed in one PSX market: regular shares (568 on 22 October 2026), deliverable futures (293), cash settled futures (216), bonds (281), odd lots (9 ETFs) and more. If your symbol is not on the tab, it cannot trade in that market.
A broker says your share is not available for futures, or that you cannot buy a bond line on screen. Before you argue, check the exchange's own list. The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) data portal publishes it free, and each tab has a Download File link. We read every tab on 22 October 2026.
Eligible Scrips lists which symbols may trade in each PSX market
The Market Eligible Scrips page has nine tabs: REG, DFC, IPO, CSF, SIF, BNB, NDM, ODL and SQR. A scrip is a tradable listing. If a symbol sits on a tab, it is eligible for that market. If it does not, orders for it in that market should not be possible.
| Tab | Market name on the portal | Rows on 22 October 2026 |
|---|---|---|
| REG | Regular Deliverable Equity Market | 568 |
| DFC | Future Deliverable Contract Market | 293 |
| IPO | Initial Public Offering Market | 0 |
| CSF | Cash Settled Future Contract Market | 216 |
| SIF | Stock Index Future Contract Market | 9 |
| BNB | Bills and Bond Market | 281 |
| NDM | Negotiated Deal Market | 568 |
| ODL | Odd Lot Market | 9 |
| SQR | Square-Up (Buy-In) Market | 568 |

Most ordinary shares trade in the Regular market
The REG tab, the Regular Deliverable Equity Market, is the everyday market. A deliverable trade ends with the shares moving into the buyer's account. Our count was 568 rows, including ordinary shares and some exchange traded funds. The list is by symbol and company name, from 786 Investments to the end of the alphabet.
If you are new to buying shares, start with how to open a PSX brokerage account through your bank. The same 568 count appears on the NDM and SQR tabs, which suggests the same symbols are listed there. We compared counts, not every symbol.
Futures tabs list monthly contracts, not just company names
On the DFC and CSF tabs, the symbol carries a month. AGP-DEC and AICL-NOV are deliverable futures for AGP and Adamjee Insurance. AGP-CDEC and AIRLINK-COCT are cash settled futures. We saw October, November and December contracts on 22 October 2026.
The SIF tab is smaller, with 9 rows: BKTI, KSE30 and OGTI contracts for October, November and December. These follow the bank index, the KSE-30 and the oil and gas index. A future is an agreement to trade at a set price on a later date, and it carries more risk than buying a share. Do not use one before you understand the margin your broker asks.

Only nine ETFs were on the Odd Lot list
The ODL tab, the Odd Lot Market, had 9 rows on 22 October 2026, and all were exchange traded funds. They were ACIETF, HBLTETF, JSGBETF, JSMFETF, MIIETF, MZNPETF, NBPGETF, NITGETF and UBLPETF. No ordinary company share was on the tab. The page does not explain what an odd lot is here.
If you want to buy a single ETF unit, the steps are in how to buy an ETF on PSX with a broker account. Check your fund's symbol against this tab first.
The IPO tab was empty and the bond tab was long
The IPO tab had no symbols on 22 October 2026, so no new issue was listed in that market on our visit. The BNB tab, the Bills and Bond Market, had 281 rows. Many are corporate bond lines such as AKBLTFC6 for Askari Bank and BAFLTFC8 for Bank Alfalah, where TFC means term finance certificate.

Common questions about PSX eligible scrips
Where is the PSX Eligible Scrips page?
It is in the menu of dps.psx.com.pk as Eligible Scrips, with nine tabs from REG to SQR.
What does REG mean on the PSX portal?
REG is the Regular Deliverable Equity Market, the main market for ordinary shares.
Which ETFs are on the odd lot list?
Nine: ACIETF, HBLTETF, JSGBETF, JSMFETF, MIIETF, MZNPETF, NBPGETF, NITGETF and UBLPETF, on 22 October 2026.
Can I download the list?
Yes. Each tab has a Download File link that points to an XML file.
Why is the IPO tab empty?
It listed no symbols on 22 October 2026. The page does not say why, and we do not guess.
Does being on a list mean a share is safe?
No. The list only says the symbol is eligible for that market. It says nothing about the company's health.
How we verified this
What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.
Last checked 22 October 2026. The tab names, the market names, the symbol counts and the symbols quoted come from the Market Eligible Scrips page of the PSX data portal, which we opened and parsed with a script that day. The counts are ours. We compared row counts across the REG, NDM and SQR tabs but did not compare every symbol. The page does not define the odd lot or square-up markets, so we do not. The lists change over time. This is not investment advice.
