COMSATS Lahore HEC Need-Based Scholarship Fall 2026: Apply by 15 October
COMSATS Lahore campus is taking HEC Need-Based Scholarship forms for Fall 2026 until 15 October. See who can apply, the 12 documents and how to submit.

COMSATS University Islamabad, Lahore Campus has opened applications for the HEC Need-Based Scholarship for the Fall 2026 semester. BS and undergraduate students admitted on open merit must submit a hard form with documents to the SSC / SFAO office by Thursday 15 October 2026, after filling in a soft data form online.
We read the campus announcement on the CUI Lahore website on 7 October 2026. It is dated 6 October, so you have nine days from the notice. We also read HEC's own Need-Based Scholarship pages to check what the award pays.
HEC itself does not set one national date, so each campus runs its own window.

COMSATS Lahore takes need-based scholarship forms until 15 October
The campus deadline is Thursday 15 October 2026. You must finish the soft data entry online first, then hand the hard form with every document to the SSC / SFAO office, the Students Financial Aid Office, at the Lahore campus. The notice does not state a closing hour.
Because the hard form is a paper file, plan for the office's own working hours. We would aim to submit by Wednesday 14 October rather than gamble on the last afternoon.
The notice names the programme as the HEC Need-Based Scholarship for BS and undergraduate level students in the Fall 2026 semester. It does not say how many slots the campus has. HEC says the number of slots is decided by each university from its budget.
Only open merit BS students with income below the poverty threshold are eligible
The campus lists two conditions. You must be a BS or undergraduate student of any batch, admitted on open merit and enrolled in the Fall 2026 semester. And your family income must be below the poverty threshold. The notice does not print an income figure.
Two points in that sentence matter. "Any batch" means students already in their second, third or fourth year can apply, not only new admissions. And "open merit" rules out self-finance students. HEC's own eligibility page says students who secure admission on self-finance are not eligible.
The notice does not define the poverty threshold in rupees. Ask the SFAO office what number its committee uses before you assume you qualify. HEC says need is assessed by each university's Institutional Scholarship Award Committee, with the family's financial background in view.
The scholarship covers university fees and pays Rs 6,000 a month
HEC's eligibility page says the university fee is covered and every grantee is also paid a stipend of Rs 6,000 a month for the complete programme. For five year programmes the funding runs for all five years. The campus notice itself does not repeat these amounts.
| Item | What the CUI Lahore notice says |
|---|---|
| Scholarship | HEC Need-Based, BS and undergraduate level |
| Semester | Fall 2026 |
| Who | Open merit students with family income below the poverty threshold |
| Deadline for hard forms | Thursday 15 October 2026 |
| Submit to | SSC / SFAO office, CUI Lahore Campus |
Stipend and fee cover come from HEC's scheme, not from the campus. We could not find a separate COMSATS amount, so treat Rs 6,000 as HEC's published figure and check the final award letter.
How to apply in three steps and what to attach

- Complete the soft data entry on the online form linked in the notice.
- Collect the hard form from the photocopy shop at CUI Lahore Campus.
- Submit the filled hard form and all documents at the SSC / SFAO office by Thursday 15 October 2026.
The notice lists twelve documents.

- CNIC of the applicant and of the guardian or parents.
- Domicile certificate.
- Latest utility bills, one copy each for electricity, gas, telephone and water.
- Death certificate, if a parent or guardian has died.

Do not leave the bills for the last day. If the household has no gas connection, ask the office what to attach instead of leaving the slot silent.

Students at other universities should wait for their own notice
The COMSATS Lahore date applies only to that campus. HEC says each participating public university announces its own dates, so students elsewhere need their own financial aid office notice. Our full explainer on the HEC Need-Based Scholarship covers the form and the committee process.
If you study at another campus, ask your office when its round opens. Last year's windows ran months apart, so a date at one campus says nothing about yours. For students at private universities, the HEC scheme does not apply, and our look at the BISP undergraduate scholarship is the nearest alternative. HEC's scholarship desk can be reached at hnbs@hec.gov.pk.

How we verified this
What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.
We last checked on 7 October 2026. The deadline, eligibility, process and document list come from the Students Financial Aid Office notice on the COMSATS University Islamabad, Lahore Campus website. The Rs 6,000 stipend and the rule on self-finance students come from HEC's Need-Based Scholarship eligibility page on hec.gov.pk. The notice gives no closing hour, no slot count and no income figure, and we have not guessed any of them.
