How to Download Bilibili in Pakistan Without an APK File
Bilibili's international app is on Google Play in Pakistan. We checked. Android users need no APK site, and iPhone users cannot get it here yet.

Bilibili went international on 19 August 2026, and the search results filled up within days with pages telling Pakistani users to download an APK file from a mirror site.
You do not need to. We checked the Google Play listing against the Pakistan storefront and it is there.
| Your phone | Where to get it |
|---|---|
| Android in Pakistan | Google Play, the official listing |
| What to search for | bilibili, package com.bilibili.app.in |
| iPhone in Pakistan | Not available |
| iPhone in some other countries | Listed, and updated on 19 August |
| APK mirror sites | Not needed for Android |
How we checked, because this is the whole point
Google Play is awkward to test. It serves the same page skeleton whether an app exists or not, so simply loading a link proves nothing.
So we did it with a control. We requested the Bilibili listing with the country set to Pakistan, and separately requested a package name we invented that cannot exist.
The invented one returned 404, not found. The Bilibili one returned 200, with the app's real name in the page data: bilibili, All Your Fav Videos.
That difference is the answer. The listing is real and it resolves for Pakistan.
Why the APK advice is worth refusing
An APK mirror is a copy of an app hosted by somebody who is not the developer. Some mirrors are careful. The problem is that you cannot tell which, and you are the one carrying the risk.
When you install from Google Play, the file is checked against the developer's signature. When you install a file from a mirror, you are trusting whoever uploaded it not to have altered it.
For an app that is genuinely unavailable in your country, some people accept that trade. Here there is no trade. The official listing works, so sideloading takes on a real risk in exchange for nothing at all.
If a page tells you to enable installation from unknown sources for this app, that page has not checked what we just checked.
The same question is worth asking of any app that wants unusual permissions before it will work. We set out how to vet one in are online loan apps safe, and the checks there apply well beyond lending.
The same instinct applies to anything asking you to step outside an official route. We wrote about the pattern in how to tell a real service from a copy.
iPhone users in Pakistan are genuinely stuck
Here the pessimism is justified.
The iOS app exists. It is published by Shanghai Bilibili Animation, it was updated on 19 August 2026, the same day as the global announcement, and it carries a rating around 4.7 from more than 19,000 people.
It is simply not in the Pakistan App Store. A search of the Pakistani storefront returns no Bilibili result, and a direct lookup of the app's identifier against Pakistan returns nothing.
Apple does not let you sideload the way Android does, so there is no equivalent workaround. Changing your App Store country to reach it means a payment method and address for that country, which is more trouble than most people expect and can leave purchases and subscriptions stranded.
The realistic answer for an iPhone user in Pakistan today is to use the website in a browser and wait. Bilibili has said an English language site is coming.
Creating an account
The single biggest change for users outside China is that the identity check is gone.
Bilibili used to ask overseas users to verify themselves with a passport or national ID before they could do much. That requirement has been dropped for global users, which is most of what "going international" actually means in practice.
- Install from Google Play, not from a link somebody sent you.
- Open the app and choose to register rather than browsing as a guest, if you want to comment or follow creators.
- Sign up with a phone number or an email address. A Pakistani number should work now that the ID step is gone.
- Do not upload identity documents. If something asks for a passport scan, stop and check what you are actually using.
- Set your language and interests when prompted, since the recommendations lean heavily on that.
We have not created an account ourselves, so those steps describe the published flow rather than a signup we completed.
What Bilibili actually is
Calling it a YouTube rival is roughly right and slightly misleading.
It is a very large Chinese video platform, reported at around 376 million monthly users, built around anime, gaming, technology and study content. Its signature feature is danmu, comments that scroll across the video itself as you watch rather than sitting underneath it. People either love that or turn it off immediately.
The international push is real but early. Bilibili is reported to be hiring community managers in Los Angeles, London, Mexico City, Sao Paulo, Istanbul and Tokyo, and has been courting Western creators.
What that means for a viewer in Pakistan: a large library, a lot of it still Chinese language, and an English experience that is being built rather than finished.
It is also heavy on data, so it is worth knowing what your connection actually costs you before you settle in. We compared the options in the best internet providers in Pakistan.
If you are thinking about posting there
This is the question most people ask second, so here is the honest answer.
There is no international creator payment system yet. Revenue sharing, virtual gifting and a creator marketplace have all been talked about, and none of it has been finalised or published in detail for creators outside China.
The earning routes that exist belong to the main Chinese platform and are built around a Chinese bank account.
So anyone promising you a method to earn from Bilibili in Pakistan today is describing something that has not been announced. We are not going to write that guide until there is a real programme to describe, and if you see one elsewhere, check whether it names an actual payout route or just gestures at one.
What we could not verify
The store listings were checked on 25 August 2026, with a control test on Google Play so a missing listing could be told apart from a present one.
We did not install the app or create an account. The signup steps are the published flow.
The launch details, the removal of ID verification, the hiring plans and the user numbers are as reported rather than read on Bilibili's own announcement.
App availability changes by country without notice. If Play does not show it for your account, that is worth believing over this page, and it still would not make an APK mirror a good idea.
We have not assessed what Bilibili does with your data, and it is a Chinese platform subject to Chinese law. That is worth knowing before you register, whatever you conclude about it.
Questions readers are asking
Is Bilibili available in Pakistan?
On Android, yes. The international app is on Google Play and the listing resolves for the Pakistan storefront. On iPhone, no.
Do I need an APK file to install it?
No. The official Play listing works, so a mirror adds risk for no benefit.
Why can I not find it on my iPhone?
It is not published in the Pakistan App Store. The app exists in other countries and was updated on 19 August 2026.
Do I need a passport to sign up now?
No. The identity verification that used to block overseas users has been removed as part of the international launch.
Which app is the right one?
The international app, listed as bilibili, All Your Fav Videos. The main Chinese app is a separate, Chinese language product.
Can I earn money on Bilibili from Pakistan?
Not yet. No international creator payment system has been finalised or published, and the existing routes are built around the Chinese platform.
Is it a real YouTube alternative?
It is a very large platform with a different culture and a strong anime and gaming lean. The English side of it is early rather than finished.
