The garbage complaint number in Faisalabad, Multan and Gujranwala is 1139, the free helpline each city's waste management company lists on its own website. Multan also takes complaints on WhatsApp at 0305 9215555, and Gujranwala has a toll-free line, 0800-111-55. Each company keeps its own office numbers, hours and promise on how fast it fixes a complaint. They are all below, city by city, with what to do when 1139 does not get the street cleaned.

We read the websites of the Multan Waste Management Company, the Faisalabad Waste Management Company and the Gujranwala Waste Management Company on 25 October 2026.

All three cities use 1139 for garbage complaints

FWMC in Faisalabad, MWMC in Multan and GWMC in Gujranwala all list 1139 as their complaint helpline. It covers missed collection, garbage heaps, overflowing containers and unswept streets, and it is the same number the Punjab-wide Suthra Punjab programme uses.

Faisalabad's site lists only the helpline and a fax number, not a separate office phone. For Faisalabad, 1139 or a visit to the office is the practical route.

Multan resolves most complaints within 24 hours, and takes WhatsApp

MWMC says complaints can be registered on 1139, on WhatsApp at 0305 9215555 or by email at info@mwmc.com.pk. Its complaint cell works 7 am to 4 pm, until 2 pm on Saturday, and complaints are usually resolved within 24 hours, longer on Sundays.

WhatsApp is the better choice in Multan when you can show the problem. Send a photo of the heap or the full container with a clear landmark, and the area name. Save the chat, because it is your record if the same heap comes back.

MWMC also takes requests for a waste drum or container on 1139. Its head office is at Building No. 275/RB, Shamsabad Colony, near Chungi No. 9, Khanewal Road, and its enforcement office faces the 15 office at Qila Kohna Qasim Bagh.

Gujranwala's online complaint portal is paused for now

GWMC's home page promises to resolve complaints within 24 working hours. But its complaint portal now carries a notice: while the portal is being changed, complaints are taken only at the office or on 0800-111-55 and 1139. Do not wait for the portal.

The GWMC office is on the 2nd floor of the Gujranwala Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Chamber Plaza, Aiwan-e-Tijarat Road. Its landlines are 055-9200890 to 92 and 055-9201265. When you call, ask for a complaint number and write it down, because you will need it if the problem returns.

Complaint resolution times: Multan usually within 24 hours, Gujranwala within 24 working hours, Faisalabad not stated

Faisalabad's office opens six days a week

FWMC lists its address as FWMC Complex, University Road, near the DC office, Faisalabad. It is open Monday to Thursday and Saturday from 9 am to 4 pm, and Friday from 9 am to 1 pm. Email goes to info@fwmc.com.pk.

FWMC's site does not state how quickly a complaint should be fixed. For a heap that stays after a call to 1139, a written complaint by email with photos gives you a dated record to escalate later.

Write the email so a supervisor can act on it without calling you back. Give the street, block and colony, a landmark, how many days the garbage has been there, and the 1139 complaint number if you have one. Attach two photos, one close and one wide, so the location is clear.

Escalate a garbage complaint that 1139 did not fix

If a complaint stays open past the company's own time, go up in steps: the city company's office, then the provincial Suthra Punjab system, then the Pakistan Citizen's Portal. Keep every complaint number and photo, because each step asks for them.

  1. Call 1139 and get a complaint number. In Multan, send the same complaint on WhatsApp with a photo.
  2. Wait out the company's own time: 24 hours in Multan, 24 working hours in Gujranwala.
  3. Call or visit the city office from the table above, quoting the complaint number.
  4. Use the Suthra Punjab online form or app, which gives a complaint ID you can track.
  5. If it is still not fixed, file on the Pakistan Citizen's Portal with your earlier complaint numbers.
Five steps to escalate a garbage complaint in Faisalabad, Multan or Gujranwala

The provincial route, with tracking by complaint ID, is set out in reporting missed garbage to Suthra Punjab on 1139. Water and sewer problems are separate, and the same three cities have their own WASA complaint numbers.

How we verified this

What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.

We read the FWMC home and contact pages, the MWMC home and complaint pages, and the GWMC home and complaint portal pages on 25 October 2026. We did not call the numbers or file a complaint. We could not read a Rawalpindi waste company site from our connection, so Rawalpindi is not covered here. FWMC does not publish a complaint resolution time.
