A white boundary rope on green cricket grass, for the Hong Kong Sixes 2026 squads

Twelve teams of seven players each are at the Hong Kong Sixes 2026, 84 players in all. Pakistan are led by Abbas Afridi, India by Krunal Pandya, and the other ten captains range from Chris Green for Australia to Yasim Murtaza for the hosts.

We read every team page on the official tournament site on 31 October 2026 and copied the squads exactly as the organisers list them. Below you will find all 12 squads by group, the captains in one table, and which teams have won the event before.

Only six players take the field in each match, so one of the seven sits out every game. That is why a squad of seven is the normal size here.

All 12 Hong Kong Sixes 2026 captains in one table

Each of the 12 teams names one captain, listed first on its official team page. India changed captain on 17 October, when Krunal Pandya took over from Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who was replaced in the squad. Pakistan's Abbas Afridi led the side that won in 2025.

The captain in each case is the first name on the team page, under the organisers' own captain label. The pages do not give player roles such as batter or bowler, so we have not added them.

Pakistan's squad is the same seven the PCB named on 9 October

Pakistan's seven are Abbas Afridi (captain), Ahmad Daniyal Latif, Khawaja Nafay, Abdul Samad, Irfan Khan, Saad Masood and Muhammad Shahzad. The organisers call Pakistan the defending champions and six-time winners, and note Afridi was player of the tournament in 2025.

The team page spells the names in full: Muhammad Abbas Afridi, Ahmad Daniyal Latif, Khawaja Muhammad Nafay, Syed Muhammad Abdul Samad, Muhammad Irfan Khan, Chaudhry Saad Masood and Muhammad Shahzad. The PCB announced Pakistan's Hong Kong Sixes squad with the same names on 9 October.

The organisers add that Afridi hit six sixes in an over against Kuwait last year. Nafay, Shahzad and Samad are all back from that winning side.

Group C: Pakistan, India and the UAE squads

Group C holds Pakistan, India and the UAE. India's seven are almost all IPL players, led by Krunal Pandya. The UAE are captained by Khalid Shah. Pakistan beat India on day one, and the group was due to finish on Saturday morning.

  • India: Krunal Pandya (captain), Kulwant Khejroliya, Nitish Rana, Rahul Tewatia, Shashank Singh, Rahul Tripathi, T. Natarajan.
  • UAE: Khalid Shah (captain), Zahid Ali, Muhammad Farooq, Ansh Tandon, Maroof Merchant, Muhammad Faraazuddin, Muhammad Zuhaib.

Kulwant Khejroliya came in for Bhuvneshwar Kumar, the organisers said on 17 October. The UAE squad matches the list the Emirates Cricket Board published on 9 October, with Naveed Ahmed as coach and manager. Pakistan won the Pakistan vs India Hong Kong Sixes match by four wickets on 30 October.

Groups A, B and D: the other nine squads

Group A has Australia, England and the hosts. Group B has Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Scotland. Group D has South Africa, Afghanistan and Oman. Each squad below is copied from its official team page, captain first.

Hong Kong, China's side has a Pakistani look to it, with Babar Hayat, Nizakat Khan, Ehsan Khan and Aizaz Khan all back. The organisers say Aizaz's 85 against Bangladesh helped the hosts win the Plate last year. Pakistan last met many of these players at the Asian Games, in the Hong Kong washout that sent Pakistan into the semi-finals.

Hong Kong Sixes 2026 groups A to D with the 12 teams

Pakistan have won the Sixes six times, more than any team

The organisers call Pakistan six-time winners, the most of any team, and England five-time winners. Australia won in 2010 and Sri Lanka in 2024. India's only title came in 2005, according to the organisers' broadcast release.

  1. Pakistan: six titles, the latest in 2025 against Kuwait.
  2. England: five titles.
  3. Australia: champions in 2010.
  4. Sri Lanka: champions in 2024, Bowl winners in 2025.
  5. India: one title, in 2005.

The team pages give only these figures, not a full list of every year's winner, so we have not added one. A seventh title for Pakistan would extend the record.

What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.

We read all 12 team pages on the official Hong Kong Sixes teams page, plus the release on India's captaincy change, on 31 October 2026. Player roles are not given on the team pages, so we have not added them. Squads can change through injury during the event.
