InvestPak registration is done at investpak.sbp.org.pk/register, the State Bank of Pakistan's portal for buying T-bills and Pakistan Investment Bonds online. You enter your name, mother's name, IBAN and IPS details, confirm OTPs on your phone and email, and your bank approves you. The InvestPak helpline is 021-99214444 or 021-32434444.

Most people get stuck at one of three points: the OTP, the bank's approval, or the four-digit FPIN at first login. We read every investor page on InvestPak and SBP's launch release on 2 November 2026. Below are the registration steps, what each bank response means, the fixes for the common problems, and when the next T-bill auction falls so you can bid once you are in.

InvestPak lets you buy T-bills and PIBs online from your own bank account

The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) formally launched InvestPak on 6 July 2026 as a web portal and mobile app for investing in government securities. Any individual or company with a Pakistani bank account can register. The money comes from your bank account and the securities sit in an IPS account.

InvestPak registration at investpak.sbp.org.pk/register

IPS stands for Investor Portfolio Securities. It is a separate account at your bank that holds the T-bills or bonds you buy. SBP's FAQ calls it a mandatory requirement. If you do not have one, InvestPak raises a request to open it during registration. The products themselves, their tenors and tax are covered in buying T-bills and PIBs from Rs 5,000.

Register on InvestPak in six steps

Registration takes a few minutes on your side, then waits on your bank. InvestPak fetches your bank name from your IBAN through Raast, sends OTPs to your mobile and email, and passes the request to your bank to accept, reject or ask for more.

  1. Open investpak.sbp.org.pk and click Register under "Not Registered?", or use the InvestPak app.
  2. Enter your name, mother's name and IBAN. The portal fetches the bank name and whether it is conventional or Islamic through Raast.
  3. Enter the mobile number and email your bank already has, then type the two OTPs sent to them.
  4. Say whether you already have an IPS account. If yes, enter its details. If not, the portal raises an IPS opening request.
  5. Wait for your bank to accept. Your login ID and an OTP then arrive by email and SMS.
  6. Log in, change your password, and set a four-digit FPIN that you will use for every bid or trade.

The guidelines say the next step opens only if Raast returns your account details. If the portal cannot find your IBAN, ask your bank whether the account is on Raast, and see creating a Raast ID in your bank app.

Fix the OTP, rejection and FPIN problems

The commonest failure is a mismatch: SBP says the bank compares your mobile and email with its own records and returns the form if they differ. Other problems are a bank rejection, which must come with a reason, and a forgotten FPIN, which you can reset under My Profile.

ProblemWhat it meansFix

If none of these fits, call the InvestPak call centre on 021-99214444 or 021-32434444. Registered users can also file a complaint from the complaint dashboard after logging in.

Bid as a non-competitive investor at the next T-bill auction

As an individual you can place a non-competitive bid. You give only the amount, and you get the weighted average yield set at the auction. SBP allows one non-competitive bid per tenor, and two bids in the same tenor cancel both.

T-bill auctions run every two weeks. The SBP home page lists the next one on 11 November 2026. At the last auction, on 28 October, the cut-off yields were 12.1055% for 1 month, 12.4261% for 3 months, 12.65% for 6 months and 12.89% for 12 months, as reported in the 28 October T-bill auction result.

The upper limit for a non-competitive bid is 0.5% of the auction target, up to Rs 500 million. Banks, development finance institutions and investment banks cannot place non-competitive bids. The PIB rules are in buying a PIB through an IPS account.

Keep your FPIN and OTPs to yourself

InvestPak uses two-factor login, an OTP for each transaction, and your FPIN for each bid. Nobody from SBP or your bank needs any of them. A caller who asks for an OTP to "complete your registration" is not genuine.

Register only at investpak.sbp.org.pk or through the official app. The money for a bid comes from your own bank account, so there is never a reason to send cash to a person or wallet to "book" a T-bill. Rates on wallet savings plans compared with T-bills show what a genuine return looks like.

Common questions

How do I register on InvestPak?

Open investpak.sbp.org.pk/register, enter your name, mother's name and IBAN, confirm the OTPs, and wait for your bank to approve.

Why was my InvestPak form returned?

Usually because the mobile number or email you entered does not match your bank's records. Use the exact details your bank holds.

What is FPIN in InvestPak?

It is a four-digit code you set at your first login. You enter it for every bid and every buy or sell.

Can overseas Pakistanis use InvestPak?

Yes, SBP's FAQ says non-residents leave the mobile field blank and receive OTPs by email, since SMS works only in Pakistan.

What is the InvestPak helpline number?

The call centre numbers are 021-99214444 and 021-32434444, and the office is on I.I. Chundrigar Road, Karachi.

How we verified this

What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.

Last checked 2 November 2026. We read the InvestPak home page, its FAQ, the Guidelines for Individual Investors, the Eligible Investors, Types of Bids and Market Treasury Bills pages, and the SBP press release of 6 July 2026 announcing the launch, all on 2 November 2026. The next auction date and the 28 October cut-off yields come from the SBP home page read the same day. We did not register or place a bid ourselves, and we could not check how long banks take to approve a request.
