Short answer: The JazzCash app offers three ways to earn on idle money. Savings Plan credits profit daily and does not lock your balance. Salaam Investments is Shariah-compliant, adds Takaful cover of up to Rs 1,000,000 and can be withdrawn after a 2 day cooling off. Market T-Bills are fixed-term and cannot be redeemed early.

Most wallet balances sit still. A salary lands, rent goes out, and in between a few thousand rupees earns nothing. JazzCash wants that balance to earn, and it now has three separate products for it.

We read JazzCash's own savings and investment pages on 12 October 2026. The pages do not publish profit rates or minimum amounts, so we do not quote any. Here is what each product does, what the fine print says and which one suits which person.

JazzCash has three ways to earn profit on wallet money

The three products are the Savings Plan, Salaam Investments and Market T-Bills. All sit inside the JazzCash app and use your wallet balance. They differ in how locked your money is, how profit is paid and whether they are Shariah-compliant.

The Savings Plan pays daily but only above a minimum balance

JazzCash says Savings Plan profit is calculated and credited daily. You only earn if you keep the minimum balance required by the plan you subscribed to. Withholding tax is 20% for tax filers and 40% for non-filers.

Read these four rules before you subscribe:

  • Profit is only credited when the required minimum balance is maintained.
  • Suspended or blocked accounts get no profit.
  • Subscription fees are non-refundable in all cases.
  • The plan does not lock your balance, so you can still spend it.

The fee point matters. Some plans charge a subscription, and JazzCash says it is never refunded. A small fee against a small balance can cancel out the profit. Do the sum before you subscribe, using the rate shown in the app, not a number from a friend.

Tax is the second drag. A non-filer loses 40% of the profit. The same filer difference shows up in the tax on bank profit and savings, and it is one more reason to be on the Active Taxpayer List.

Salaam Investments suits people who need a Shariah-compliant goal plan

JazzCash says Salaam Investments is approved by a certified Shariah Board. You set a savings goal and earn daily halal profit. If the participant dies, Takaful pays the gap between the goal and what was contributed, up to Rs 1,000,000.

Takaful is the Islamic version of insurance. The cover is the difference, not a fixed sum. If your goal is Rs 500,000 and you have put in Rs 100,000, the cover is Rs 400,000. That is our reading of the wording, and the cap of Rs 1,000,000 always applies.

On withdrawals, JazzCash says funds are fully accessible after a cooling off period of 2 days. Claims go through the JazzCash helpline 4444 from a Jazz number, 021-111-124-444 from other networks, or the Takaful provider's line, 111-875-111.

Market T-Bills are safe but locked until the redemption date

A Market T-Bill is a Government of Pakistan treasury bill bought through the app. JazzCash says it carries a fixed return, is backed by the government and cannot be redeemed before maturity. You can hold only one active bill at a time.

Two more facts from the page. The product is conventional, so it is not Shariah-compliant. And taxes are deducted before the payout reaches your wallet.

If you only want the bill itself, you can also buy treasury bills through a bank or brokerage account, as shown in how to buy T-Bills and PIBs from Rs 5,000. The auction dates that set the return are in the SBP T-bill auction calendar for October to December.

How to pick between the three products

Choose by how soon you may need the money and whether Shariah compliance matters. Money you may need next week belongs in the Savings Plan or nowhere. Goal money you will not touch for months fits Salaam. Money you can leave for a fixed term fits a Market T-Bill.

  1. Write down when you may need the money. If it could be this month, avoid the T-Bill.
  2. Decide whether Shariah compliance is a must. If yes, rule out Market T-Bills.
  3. Open the product in the JazzCash app and read the rate, minimum balance and fee on the screen.
  4. Compare that rate with the savings rates banks pay, listed in the October 2026 savings profit rates.
  5. Start with a small amount and check that daily profit appears in the wallet.
Five steps to choose between JazzCash Savings Plan, Salaam Investments and Market T-Bills

One more caution. A wallet is not a bank account, and the investments here are not deposits. Check that your provider is licensed, as shown in how to check an SBP licensed payment app, and never share your MPIN with anyone who calls about "investment offers".
