The women's singles final of the first W15 tournament in Islamabad is on Sunday 11 October 2026 at 1 pm at the PTF Tennis Complex. Top seed Astrid Cirotte of France plays Kamonwan Yodpetch of Thailand. On Saturday, Cirotte and Sabastiani Leon of Mexico won the doubles title, as reported.

Pakistan does not host international women's tennis often. This week it does, and the Billie Jean King Cup follows in the same city from 19 October. We could not open the ITF's own tournament page, so the scores below are as reported from Saturday's play, and we say so wherever it matters.

Our earlier page on the Billie Jean King Cup in Islamabad explains the bigger event. This page covers the W15 final and what to know if you want to watch.

Cirotte and Leon won the doubles title on Saturday

Astrid Cirotte of France and Sabastiani Leon of Mexico won the women's doubles title on Saturday 10 October. They beat South Korea's Jeong Moon and Thailand's Kamonwan Yodpetch 5-7, 6-2, 10-5, as reported. The last set was a 10 point tiebreak.

The pair lost the first set and then took control. In doubles at this level, the deciding "set" is often a short tiebreak to ten points instead of a full set. That is why the third score reads 10-5.

Yodpetch lost that final but did not have long to rest. She also reached the singles final, so she plays on Sunday after a doubles defeat on Saturday.

Cirotte and Yodpetch both won their semi-finals in two sets

Cirotte, the top seed and ranked world number 624, beat Uzbekistan's Sevil Yuldasheva 6-4, 7-5 in the semi-final. Yodpetch beat South Africa's Wozuko Mdlulwa 6-0, 6-4. Both won in straight sets, as reported.

Cirotte had the harder semi-final. Her second set went to 7-5. Yodpetch dropped only four games across the match. Cirotte is the higher ranked player, but a world number 624 is not a big favourite at this level, so the final is open.

Thirty players from 17 countries are in the first leg

The first leg has 30 players from 17 countries. They come from France, China, Russia, Denmark, Mexico, Uzbekistan, South Africa, the Netherlands, South Korea, Nepal, Japan, Hong Kong, Germany, Thailand, Türkiye, the Czech Republic and Pakistan, as reported.

Fatima Group sponsors the championship, according to the same report. The Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) has put two W15 events in Islamabad one after the other. A W15 is a 15,000 US dollar tournament, the first rung of the professional women's tour. Winners earn world ranking points, which help players enter bigger events later.

We have not confirmed the dates of the second leg on an official page. Expect it to follow the first leg, and look for the draw on the ITF tour calendar once the PTF publishes it.

Pakistan's players have a rare home stage before the Billie Jean King Cup

The PTF has said the two W15 events let Pakistan's women play at home without paying for flights and hotels abroad. It also named Ushna Suhail, Mahin Aftab, Soha Ali, Romaisa Malik, Bismal Zia, Meheq Khokhar, Zunaisha Noor, Zainab Ali Raja, Fatima Ali Raja and Laibah Durab as players who could benefit.

We have not seen Pakistan's results in this week's draw, so we do not say how far any of them went. The PTF has not named a team for the Billie Jean King Cup, so we do not claim one either.

The Cup runs from 19 to 25 October in Islamabad, and ten Asian teams are reported to take part. Pakistan also had a busy autumn in other sports. Our report on Pakistan's final Asian Games medal tally covers the 10 medals from Aichi-Nagoya. Tennis was not part of that list, which makes a home event of this size more notable.

How to follow the final if you cannot attend

We have not found an official broadcast or ticket notice for the W15 final. The PTF and ITF have not published one on any page we could read. Here is what you can do.

  1. Check the Pakistan Tennis Federation's official pages on Sunday morning for any entry or streaming notice.
  2. Open the ITF World Tennis Tour calendar and search for W15 Islamabad to see the order of play.
  3. Do not pay anyone who offers tickets before the PTF names a seller.
  4. If you go in person, take your original CNIC in case entry is checked, and arrive early. We have not read any official entry rule, so this is only a sensible precaution.
  5. Look again on Monday for the second leg's draw.
