Pakistan finished the Asian Games 2026 with 10 medals: 0 gold, 2 silver and 8 bronze. The last two came on Saturday 3 October, when the men's hockey team beat Korea 5-3 and the men's volleyball team beat China 3-0, both for bronze. No Pakistani athlete competes on 4 October, so this is the final count.

We read Pakistan's medal list and the full medal table in the official results system of the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Games on 3 October, at about 2:40 pm PKT. Every medal below is listed there under Pakistan's name.

Ten medals is Pakistan's best haul at an Asian Games since Busan 2002. It is more than three times the three medals from Hangzhou. The missing piece is gold. Both finals Pakistan reached, in squash and cricket, ended in defeat.

Pakistan's final Asian Games 2026 medal tally is 10 medals

Pakistan's final Asian Games 2026 medal tally is 2 silver and 8 bronze, with no gold. The medals came in seven sports: cricket, squash, hockey, volleyball, mixed martial arts, shooting and esports. Squash gave the most, with three medals.

Pakistan won three medals on the last day of its Games

Saturday 3 October brought three medals in about five hours. The men's cricket team took silver in the morning. Then the volleyball and hockey teams both won bronze by early afternoon, Pakistan time. That took the count from seven to ten.

The day started with a loss. India made 211 for 6 in the cricket final, and Pakistan replied with 192 for 6. The official scorecard gives India the gold by 19 runs. Hasan Nawaz made 96 in the cricket final against India, but the chase fell short.

Volleyball came next. Pakistan beat China 25-18, 25-16, 25-18 in 67 minutes. The volleyball bronze against China is Pakistan's first Asian Games volleyball medal since 1962, according to the Pakistan Olympic Association's records.

Hockey finished the day. Pakistan were 3-2 down at half time, then scored three goals in the last quarter. The 5-3 hockey win over Korea gave Pakistan its tenth and final medal.

Pakistan finished 29th on the Asian Games 2026 medal table

Pakistan sat 29th of the 40 medal winning teams when we read the official table. The table ranks by gold first, so a team with no gold sits below every team with one. On total medals alone, Pakistan ranked 25th.

China led with 334 medals, 167 of them gold. Japan were second and Korea third. India were fifth by gold, with 19 gold and 81 medals in all.

Pakistan's rank could still move a place or two before the end. Other teams were still playing medal matches on Saturday evening, and two equestrian jumping events run on 4 October. Pakistan's own total cannot change.

Here is how the table ranks teams, in order:

  1. Gold medals. More gold always puts a team higher.
  2. Silver medals, used only when gold is level.
  3. Bronze medals, used only when gold and silver are both level.

Pakistan and Iraq both had no gold and two silver. Pakistan ranked above Iraq on bronze, 8 to 3.

Ten medals is Pakistan's best Asian Games since 2002

Pakistan's 10 medals beat every Asian Games since Busan 2002, where Pakistan won 13. The Pakistan Olympic Association's records show Pakistan won 3 medals at Hangzhou, 4 at Jakarta, 5 at Incheon and 8 at Guangzhou.

The figures up to Hangzhou come from the Pakistan Olympic Association's own Asian Games page. The Hangzhou Games were held in 2023 after a delay, but kept the 2022 name.

Gold is still the gap. Pakistan's last Asian Games gold came at Incheon in 2014. This is the third Games in a row without one.

Pakistan's two finals were in squash and cricket

Pakistan reached two gold medal matches and lost both. Malaysia beat the men's squash team 2-0 on 2 October. India beat the men's cricket team by 19 runs on 3 October. Both teams took silver.

Squash was Pakistan's strongest sport overall, with a silver and two bronze. The men's team beat Korea and Hong Kong on the way to the final. The squash final against Malaysia ended Pakistan's run.

Some medal hopes did not come through. Arshad Nadeem, the Olympic javelin champion, finished fourth in the javelin final with 80.29m. The hockey team lost its semi-final to India 4-3 before winning bronze.

Pakistan's Asian Games end with the closing ceremony on 4 October

No Pakistani athlete is in any event on 4 October, the last day of the Games. We checked the official schedule for every sport still running. Only equestrian jumping is left, and Pakistan has no rider in it.

The closing ceremony on Sunday 4 October starts at 6 pm in Nagoya, which is 2 pm in Pakistan. The next Asian Games are in Doha, Qatar, in 2030.

The running count we kept during the Games is on the Pakistan medal tally page, which now points here.
