Pakistan beat Korea 5-3 to win the men's hockey bronze medal at the Asian Games on Saturday 3 October 2026. Pakistan were 3-2 down at half time in Gifu, Japan. They then scored three goals in the last quarter. Waheed Rana scored twice.

Pakistan beat Korea 5-3 for the hockey bronze
Pakistan won the bronze medal match against Korea 5-3 at Gifu Prefectural Green Stadium. The game started at 12:30 pm Pakistan time and ended at about 2:10 pm. Korea led 3-2 at half time, and Pakistan scored all three goals of the fourth quarter.

Waheed Rana scored twice in Pakistan's comeback
Five Pakistan players shared the goals, and Waheed Rana was the only one to score twice. He scored one field goal and one penalty corner goal. Sufyan Khan, Abdul Rehman and Hannan Shahid scored one each.
Three of Pakistan's goals came from penalty corners. A penalty corner is a set play given for a foul near the goal. Sufyan Khan, Abdul Rehman and Waheed Rana each scored one. Hannan Shahid and Rana scored the two field goals, which are goals from open play.

Pakistan now have 10 medals at the 2026 Asian Games
The hockey bronze is Pakistan's tenth medal of the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games. Earlier the same day the men's volleyball team beat China 3-0 for bronze, and the cricket team won silver when India won the cricket final by 19 runs.

Pakistan's road to the hockey bronze
Pakistan won five of their seven games and scored 36 goals. They lost only to Malaysia and India, both by one goal. The official results, in order:
