Jaecoo J5 HEV is reported up Rs 300,000 to Rs 6,999,000 from 1 October, while the J7 Premium is cut to Rs 9,999,000. See what booked buyers pay and the rules.

The Jaecoo J5 HEV price in Pakistan is reported to have gone up by Rs 300,000 from 1 October 2026. The Comfort is reported at Rs 6,999,000 and the Premium at Rs 7,999,000. The Jaecoo J7 Premium now costs Rs 9,999,000, a figure we confirmed on the company's own price sheet.
There is a catch for anyone checking. On 3 October, the official J5 price sheet on the Omoda and Jaecoo website still showed the old prices of Rs 6,699,000 and Rs 7,699,000. The new J5 prices come from a notice by NexGen Auto, the company that sells Jaecoo in Pakistan, as reported in mid-September. We could not find that notice on its website.
So treat the J5 rise as reported, not confirmed. Ask your dealer for the price in writing before you pay.

HEV means a hybrid electric vehicle. It has a petrol engine and an electric motor, but you cannot plug it in to charge. The J5 SHS HEV went on sale in Pakistan in January 2026, according to the company's own launch news.
Reports also differ. An early September report claimed the J5 had gone up by Rs 1.1 million. The later reports of mid-September give the Rs 300,000 rise from 1 October, which is the figure we use here. Neither appears on the official sheet yet.
The Jaecoo J7 Premium price is cut to Rs 9,999,000
The J7 SHS Premium, a plug-in hybrid, is listed at Rs 9,999,000 ex-factory on NexGen Auto's own price sheet. The sheet was uploaded on 23 September 2026. The cut of Rs 500,000 from Rs 10,499,000 is reported to have applied from 14 September.

A plug-in hybrid (PHEV) has a bigger battery that you can charge from a socket. That lets it run short trips on electric power alone. The J7 sheet lists features such as a 14.8-inch screen, a head-up display, ventilated front seats and adaptive cruise control.
The press reports tied the September changes to the new sales tax rules for hybrids. NexGen's price sheet does not give a reason. The background is that sales tax on hybrid cars went up when the old auto policy concession ended on 30 June 2026.
Booked J5 buyers who paid in full keep the old price
According to the reported NexGen notice, J5 buyers who had paid in full get invoiced at the old price. Buyers with a part payment kept the old price only if they cleared the balance by 30 September 2026. After that date, the new price applies to them.
Here is how the reported rules work for each type of buyer:
- Full payment made before 1 October: you pay the old price, with nothing extra.
- Part payment made, and balance cleared by 30 September: you also keep the old price.
- Part payment made, but balance not cleared by 30 September: the new price applies from 1 October. That is Rs 300,000 more.
- New booking from 1 October: you pay Rs 6,999,000 for the Comfort or Rs 7,999,000 for the Premium.

The 30 September deadline has passed. If you had a part payment and missed it, ask the dealer for a written statement of what you now owe. Check it against your booking papers. A rise of exactly Rs 300,000 matches the reports. Anything above that needs an explanation.
A new J5 booking needs at least Rs 1,399,800 down
NexGen's price sheet asks for a minimum advance of 20 per cent to confirm a booking. At the reported new prices, that is Rs 1,399,800 for the J5 Comfort and Rs 1,599,800 for the Premium. Freight and transit insurance add Rs 55,000 per car.

| Model | Ex-factory price | 20% advance | Price plus Rs 55,000 freight |
|---|---|---|---|
| J5 HEV Comfort (reported) | Rs 6,999,000 | Rs 1,399,800 | Rs 7,054,000 |
| J5 HEV Premium (reported) | Rs 7,999,000 | Rs 1,599,800 | Rs 8,054,000 |
| J7 SHS Premium | Rs 9,999,000 | Rs 1,999,800 | Rs 10,054,000 |
The advance and the totals are our own sums. The sheets set these other terms:
- Prices are ex-factory and include all applicable taxes, according to the sheet.
- You pay by pay order or bank draft in favour of NexGen Auto Pvt Ltd, on account of your own name.
- The balance is due at least one month before delivery.
- Delivery is first come, first served.
- NexGen can change prices without notice.
The advance tax on a new vehicle is collected at registration, so budget for it too. If you plan to borrow, the car loan limits in Pakistan cap how much a bank can lend.
The J5 HEV now sits close to other hybrid crossovers
At a reported Rs 6,999,000, the J5 Comfort sits among the cheaper hybrid SUVs in Pakistan. It is close to Suzuki's Fronx hybrid, which Suzuki listed at Rs 6,799,999 to Rs 6,874,999 on 30 September in our check of car prices in Pakistan for October 2026. Honda's HR-V e:HEV is far higher at Rs 9,299,000 on Honda's own site.

How we verified this
What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.
Last checked 3 October 2026, about 4:30am PKT. We read the official J5 price sheet linked from the Jaecoo J5 page, which still showed Rs 6,699,000 and Rs 7,699,000, and the J7 price sheet linked from the Jaecoo J7 page, uploaded on 23 September 2026, which lists Rs 9,999,000. Both sheets carry the booking terms quoted above. The J5 rise, its 1 October start, the J7's old price and start date, and the rules for booked buyers are reported, because we could not find NexGen Auto's notice on its website or news page. The Fronx and HR-V prices were read on the makers' sites on 30 September. Advances and totals are our own arithmetic.
