To move your number to Jazz, send "MNP" to 667, forward the reply you get to 76300, then visit a Jazz franchise or retailer with your CNIC for fingerprints and a new Jazz SIM; prepaid porting costs Rs 300 and takes 4 working days. Postpay porting needs only Jazz's security deposit and takes 13 working days.

You keep the same number, so your contacts, WhatsApp and bank OTPs stay where they are. Below are the rules, the full Jazz price list for SIM services, and the mistakes that delay a port. We read Jazz's Process Help Center and its Switch to Jazz page on 28 October 2026.

Porting to Jazz takes two SMS and one visit

Jazz's port-in process has three steps. Two SMS start it from your current phone, and a visit to a Jazz outlet finishes it. Each SMS costs Rs 2 plus tax, Jazz says.

  1. From the number you want to move, type MNP and send it to 667.
  2. Wait for the reply SMS from your current network.
  3. Forward the information in that reply to 76300.
  4. Go to a Jazz Experience Centre, franchise or retailer with your original CNIC.
  5. Give your fingerprints for biometric verification and pay Rs 300 for prepaid.
  6. Take the new Jazz SIM. Your number moves across within 4 working days for prepaid.

Jazz does not say at what hour the old SIM stops working. Keep it in the phone until the new Jazz SIM shows signal, so you do not miss a call or an OTP in between.

Steps to port a number to Jazz in Pakistan: MNP to 667, forward reply to 76300, biometric at a Jazz outlet

Who can port to Jazz: active number, 60 days old

Jazz accepts a port-in only if the number is active and at least 60 days have passed since it was activated, or since its ownership last changed, on the current network. The owner must come in person with an original CNIC for fingerprints.

  • Active number: a blocked or suspended number cannot be ported.
  • 60 day rule: counted from activation or the last change of ownership.
  • Owner present: biometric verification needs the person the SIM is registered to.
  • Dues cleared: Jazz waits for confirmation that your dues with the old network are paid.

If the SIM is in a relative's name, transfer ownership first, then wait the 60 days. If your number was blocked after 180 days of no use, recover it first; the PTA non-usage rule explains how.

Prepaid costs Rs 300; postpay needs only the deposit

Jazz charges Rs 300 to port a prepaid number. For postpay, Jazz says only the security deposit is required. Prepaid ports take 4 working days and postpay 13 working days, counted while Jazz waits for your old network to confirm your dues.

PrepaidRs 3004 working days
PostpaySecurity deposit only13 working days
Each MNP SMS (667 and 76300)Rs 2 plus taxInstant

Jazz's two pages disagree on the minimum postpay deposit. The Process Help Center says Rs 1,100; the Switch to Jazz price list says it starts from Rs 1,300. Ask at the counter which applies to your plan.

Jazz's SIM price list, from new SIMs to eSIM

Jazz's Switch to Jazz page carries a short price list for its SIM services. A new prepaid or postpay SIM starts at Rs 350, a SIM change costs Rs 550, and porting costs Rs 300. Numbers from special series cost more.

Jazz servicePrice on Jazz's page
New prepaid SIMFrom Rs 350, more for a chosen number
New postpay SIMFrom Rs 350, plus deposit from Rs 1,300
Prepaid to postpayDeposit only
Data SIMRs 350
Port to Jazz (MNP)Rs 300
SIM changeRs 550
eSIMRs 2,000 on this list
JazzCash wallet registrationRs 300 on this list
Super 4G MiFi deviceRs 7,000

Two figures on that list do not match Jazz's other pages. Jazz's own eSIM page gives Rs 1,500, as we set out in the Jazz eSIM price page, and PTA has capped eSIM fees. A paid JazzCash registration also looks out of date. Check the price at the counter before you pay. A golden or platinum number costs extra; see Jazz choose your number prices.

Use your balance and clear dues before you port

Jazz's pages do not say what happens to prepaid balance or bundles left on your old network. Assume you lose them. Use up the balance, and do not buy a monthly bundle on the old network in the week you port.

  • Balance: spend it first.
  • Postpay bill: clear the final bill on the old network, or the port waits.
  • Mobile wallet: a wallet on the old network, such as Easypaisa on Telenor, may be tied to the network. Check with the wallet before you port.
  • Bank OTPs: keep the phone with you during the switch day.

The general rules for every network, including porting away from Jazz, are in how MNP works in Pakistan.

How we verified this

What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.

We read Jazz's Process Help Center and its Switch to Jazz price list on jazz.com.pk on 28 October 2026. We did not port a number. Jazz's pages give two postpay deposit figures and two eSIM prices; we have shown both. Jazz does not say what happens to leftover balance, and we could not read PTA's own MNP rules because pta.gov.pk did not open from our connection that day.
