The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Public Service Commission (KPPSC) posted both revised schedules on its website on 26 October 2026. They are dated 23 October. They cover 31 DSP posts and 667 Sub Inspector posts that are filled by a written exam among serving police officers. We read both schedules and the two advertisements behind them on 27 October 2026. Here is every paper, date and rule.

Reporting time is 8:00 am for DSP and 1:00 pm for Sub Inspector
DSP candidates must report at 8:00 am and Sub Inspector candidates at 1:00 pm, one hour before each paper. KPPSC closes the main gate 30 minutes after the reporting time. That means 8:30 am for DSP papers and 1:30 pm for Sub Inspector papers.
A late arrival is treated the same as an absence, so plan the travel the night before. KPPSC also asks every candidate to confirm the roll number and centre one day before each paper. The schedule says centres depend on hall availability, so a centre can still change.
The law papers name 14 acts for DSP and 16 for Sub Inspector
The 27 January paper lists the local and special laws by name. DSP candidates get 14 laws, from the KP Prohibition of Interest on Private Loan Act 2016 to the Prosecution Act 2013. Sub Inspectors get 16, including the Motor Vehicle Ordinance 1965 and the Electricity Act 1910.
Both lists include the Anti-Terrorism Act 1997, the KP Arms Act 2013, the KP Explosive Substances Act 2013, the Control of Narcotic Substances Act and the Prevention of Corruption Act 1947. Both also cover the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police Act 2017, selected police rules and fundamental rights in the Constitution.
The Sub Inspector list adds the Gambling Ordinance 1978 and the Telegraph Act 1885. The DSP list adds the Right to Information Act 2013 and the Prosecution Act 2013. Only the Sub Inspector exam has a separate first paper on the PPC, the CrPC and Qanun-e-Shahadat.
The exam fills 31 DSP posts and 667 Sub Inspector posts
The DSP schedule covers Advertisement No. 05/2026 (27 leftover posts) and Advertisement No. 09/2026 (4 leftover posts), so 31 DSP posts in all. The Sub Inspector schedule covers 667 posts from Advertisement No. 05/2026: 223 fresh and 444 leftover.

The regional split comes from Advertisement No. 05/2026, which is a text PDF with a broken table. We rebuilt it and checked that the rows add up to KPPSC's printed totals of 223, 444 and 667.

Call letters come about 15 days before the first paper
KPPSC will upload call letters, also called roll number slips, on kppsc.gov.pk about 15 days before the exam. Counting back from 26 January 2027, that is around 11 January. You must print the call letter and bring it with your original CNIC to every paper.
- Around 11 January 2027, open kppsc.gov.pk and look for the call letter notice for Advertisement 05/2026 or 09/2026.
- Download your call letter and check your name, roll number and centre.
- Print it. KPPSC does not accept a phone screen.
- One day before each paper, confirm the roll number and centre again.
- Carry the print and your original CNIC. Leave your phone outside.
If you get no SMS or email, KPPSC tells candidates to call 091-9212976, 9214131, 9213750 or 9213563 (extensions 105 and 113) or visit the office. Mobile phones and any electronic device in the hall can lead to disqualification. The KPPSC cheating bans run up to three years for a phone.

Admission is provisional, so check the four eligibility rules now
KPPSC says every candidate is admitted provisionally. A DSP candidate needs at least a second class bachelor's degree, confirmation as Inspector, no major penalty in three years and a two week basic course from a police specialised school. A Sub Inspector candidate needs the degree, confirmation as ASI and a clean three years.
Advertisement No. 09/2026 also gives 10 extra marks for the Quaid-e-Azam Police Medal or Pakistan Police Medal, and 5 for the six month Basic Elite Training Course. Officers who fail the same higher rank exam three times cannot sit it again, the same advertisement says. If KPPSC later rejects you, the KPPSC representation route has a 15 day limit.
