OGRA Complaint Status Check Online: Track by Tracking ID, and File Against SNGPL, SSGC or an LPG Dealer
Check your OGRA complaint status online by Tracking ID, see the documents OGRA needs against SNGPL or SSGC, the 90 day limits, and how to appeal a decision.

To check an OGRA complaint status, open complaint.ogra.org.pk/track and enter your Tracking ID exactly as you received it, in the format OGRA-000047, then press Check. The page shows the latest public status, the office or Designated Officer now handling it, and the decision once the case is disposed.
OGRA, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority, is where a gas consumer goes after SNGPL or SSGC fails to fix a complaint. We read OGRA's tracking page, its complaint form and its Consumer Affairs page on 27 October 2026. Below is how tracking works, what to file with, the 90 day limits, and what to do if the decision goes against you.
OGRA tracks complaints by a Tracking ID, not by CNIC
The tracking page has one field: the Tracking ID issued when you submit the complaint, such as OGRA-000047. Type it with the dashes and numbers exactly as given. OGRA says the ID is also sent by email where applicable, so search your inbox first.

- Open complaint.ogra.org.pk/track, or go to ogra.org.pk, then Complaints and Complaint Status.
- Type your Tracking ID with the dashes, for example OGRA-000047.
- Press Check.
- Read the status, and the office or Designated Officer shown if the case was forwarded.
- If the case is disposed, read the decision details shown, and note the date.
OGRA's page says internal officer remarks are not shown. So "forwarded" with an office name is normal and means your case has been assigned. It is not a rejection.
What each status on the tracking page tells you
OGRA's tracking guidance names three things the page can show: the current public status, the assigned office or Designated Officer once forwarded, and public decision details once the complaint is disposed. Officers' internal notes stay hidden throughout.
| What you see | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Latest public status | Where the complaint stands today | Note the date and check again weekly |
| Assigned office or Designated Officer | The Registrar has forwarded it for a decision | Keep the bill and papers ready for a hearing |
| Final decision details | The complaint is disposed | Read the order; consider an appeal if you disagree |
| Nothing found | The ID is mistyped or not yet active | Retype it with dashes; check the email from OGRA |
We did not have a complaint of our own, so we could not see the exact wording of each status. The labels above follow OGRA's own guidance on the page.
File with OGRA only after SNGPL or SSGC has had its chance
OGRA's form says you must first fail to get redress from the gas company, and must file within 90 days of lodging your complaint with that company. It asks for your CNIC, a copy of your gas supply application, the gas bill and the company's review committee decision.

- National Identity Card (CNIC)
- Copy of the application for supply of gas
- Gas bill
- Decision of the gas company's Review Committee
- Details if the same issue was filed with any other body, such as a court
Those requirements come from regulations 4 and 5 of OGRA's Complaint Resolution Procedure Regulations, 2003, which the form quotes. Uploads can be PDF, JPG or PNG, up to 5 MB each.
The first step, complaining to the company itself, is set out in SNGPL and SSGC gas complaints. SSGC's own resolution times are in how long SSGC should take.
The OGRA form has 8 parts
OGRA's online form asks for your details and consumer number, the company or dealer you are complaining against, the problem, whether you tried the company first, whether a court has the case, any other information, your attachments, and a signed affirmation that the facts are true.
| Part | What it asks |
|---|---|
| 1 | Name, CNIC, consumer number, email, city, province, phone, address |
| 2 | The licensee or dealer you complain against |
| 3 | Description of the problem and consumer type |
| 4 | Whether you tried the company first, and its reply |
| 5 | Whether another body, such as a court, has the case |
| 6 | Any other information |
| 7 | Whether all documents are attached, with uploads |
| 8 | Affirmation, signature and date |
The consumer number field accepts more than one number, separated by commas or spaces. That helps a family with two meters on the same complaint. LPG overcharging by a dealer is a different kind of case, covered in reporting LPG overcharging to OGRA.
Designated Officers decide most cases within 90 days
OGRA's Registrar forwards each gas complaint to a Designated Officer, who gets a report from the company and holds a hearing where both sides present evidence. OGRA says decisions are typically reached within 90 days. Its Designated Officers sit in Islamabad, Karachi, Quetta, Lahore, Multan and Peshawar.

If you disagree with the decision, OGRA's Appeals Department handles appeals and review petitions under sections 12 and 13 of the OGRA Ordinance 2002 and the Appeals Regulations 2024. It covers natural gas, oil, CNG and LPG cases. OGRA's page does not state the appeal deadline, so ask the Registrar's office as soon as the decision arrives.
Never pay anyone who offers to "follow up" your OGRA file. Filing and tracking are free, and the Tracking ID is all you need.

How we verified this
What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.
We read OGRA's complaint tracking page, its online complaint form and its Consumer Affairs page on ogra.org.pk on 27 October 2026. We did not file a complaint, so we could not see a real Tracking ID result or the exact status labels. OGRA's pages do not give a deadline for an appeal, so we have not stated one.
