Orient inverter ACs start at Rs 105,000 for 1 ton on Orient's own price list, read on 7 November 2026, and reach Rs 570,000 for the 4 ton floor-standing models. The cheapest 1.5 ton is Rs 130,000 and the cheapest 2 ton is Rs 200,000. The cheapest 1 ton and 1.5 ton models are in the Cooltron series, which Orient labels cool only.

Orient lists 68 AC models on one page, and many of them differ only by colour. That makes the Orient inverter AC price hard to compare at a glance. We cut it to 10 picks by series, each with Orient's own picture, and we found one thing you should look at before you buy: "1.5 ton" on Orient's list means anything from 18,000 to 22,000 BTU, at very different prices.

Orient inverter AC prices by size in one table

Orient's list groups models by series and size. A 1 ton runs from Rs 105,000 to Rs 155,000, a 1.5 ton from Rs 130,000 to Rs 220,000, and a 2 ton wall unit from Rs 200,000 to Rs 222,000, so the series matters as much as the size.

Floor-standing models are separate: 2 ton from Rs 287,000 to Rs 300,000, and 4 ton at Rs 570,000. On the three model pages we opened, Everest 12W, Lunar 13W and Empire 12S, the page showed out of stock. Winter is the slow season, so ask a dealer before you assume a price means stock.

The 1.5 ton label covers 18,000 to 22,000 BTU

BTU measures cooling, and Orient's 1.5 ton list spans 18,000 to 22,000 BTU. A 22,000 BTU Gigatron costs Rs 90,000 more than an 18,000 BTU Everest. Check the number before you pay, because two ACs with the same label are not the same machine.

ModelLabelBTUPrice (Rs)Rs per 1,000 BTU (our sum)
Everest 18W1.5 ton18,000130,0007,222
Smartron Pro 18C1.5 ton18,000134,5007,472

Gigatron Zline 22S1.5 ton22,000220,00010,000

The same spread appears at 1 ton, which runs from 12,000 to 14,000 BTU on the list. A bigger BTU figure is useful in a hot top floor room, and it is not worth paying for in a small shaded bedroom.

10 Orient models with official pictures and our verdict

These ten picks cover each main series at a size people ask about. Orient's pages show a lifetime compressor warranty banner on the models we opened but give no terms there, so ask for the written terms. The page shows no input watts, so we cannot give a unit figure for these models.

Image: Orient

Rs 207,000, 2 ton, 24,000 BTU, T3+. Rs 7,000 above the cheapest 2 ton, the Ultron Lunar 24G. A strong choice for a big lounge if the wiring can take it.

Orient Premier 24G (floor-standing)

Orient Premier 24G 2 ton floor-standing AC in white, official product photo
Image: Orient

Rs 287,000, 2 ton, 24,000 BTU, T3. A tall floor unit for halls or shops. It costs Rs 87,000 more than the cheapest 2 ton wall unit, so only buy it if the wall cannot hold a split.

Check heat mode before you buy for winter

Orient's list labels only the Cooltron models as cool only. The other pages we opened do not state heating either way. So do not assume heat from the missing label, and get the dealer to confirm heat mode for your exact model code.

  1. Copy the exact model name from Orient's list, including T3 or T3+.
  2. Ask the dealer in writing whether this code has heat mode.
  3. Ask for the input watts from the rating plate, because Orient's page does not show them, then divide by 1,000 for units an hour.
  4. Get the lifetime compressor terms on paper.
  5. Read the energy label on the AC and check its PSQCA standard.

A running rule helps here. A unit drawing 1,000 watts uses 1 unit an hour, which at four hours a day for 30 days is 120 units. In a protected home that can decide whether the bill crosses 200 units, as the 2026 electricity slab rates show.

How we verified this

What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.

We read the full price list on Orient's own air conditioner page and opened the model pages for Everest 12W, Lunar 13W and Empire 12S on 7 November 2026. Pictures are Orient's own. All BTU cost sums are our own, and we have not run these ACs ourselves.
