Pakistan Sends 16 Members in Four Sports to the Asian Para Games in Japan, 18 to 24 October
Pakistan is reported to send 16 members in four sports to the Asian Para Games in Nagoya from 18 to 24 October. See the sports, venues and what is unconfirmed.

Pakistan send a 16 member team to the 5th Asian Para Games in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, which run from 18 to 24 October 2026. The team competes in four sports: para athletics, powerlifting, table tennis and wheelchair tennis. The numbers come from a press report, not from an official team list, so we mark them as reported.
The Games dates are on the organisers' own website. The size of the team and the sports are not. We could not find a Pakistan team list on a Pakistan Sports Board or Pakistan Paralympic Committee page on 13 October 2026, so we say so below.
Pakistan's team is reported at 16 athletes in four sports
A press report on 13 October says Pakistan's contingent has 16 members and will compete in athletics, powerlifting, table tennis and wheelchair tennis. It names Haider Ali, who throws the discus, as the lead athlete. He told the reporter he had three other athletes with him at departure.
That is a report, not a team sheet. A contingent of 16 "members" may include officials. We do not know how many are athletes and how many are staff, so we do not state it as a count of athletes.

The Games run from 18 to 24 October in Aichi and Nagoya
The organisers list the 5th Asian Para Games as 18 to 24 October 2026. The Games are held in Nagoya and other cities in Aichi Prefecture, with some cycling events in Shizuoka. The opening ceremony is on Sunday 18 October.
Japan is four hours ahead of Pakistan. A morning session in Japan falls in the night in Pakistan, so check each event time before you plan to watch. The time of the first event is worked out for Pakistan in the opening ceremony start time in Pakistan.

Haider Ali is the name to watch in the discus
Haider Ali is a discus thrower and the best known name in the team. The report says he is confident of a strong showing in Japan. We did not check his past medal record against the Paralympic committee, so we leave out the list.
Para athletics has around 150 events in all, according to the organisers, and athletes compete in classes based on their impairment. Two athletes in the same event may therefore be in different classes. The event you watch will carry a class code such as F37 or F11.
Each sport is held at a different venue
The organisers say para athletics is held at Nagoya City Mizuho Park Athletic Stadium, which reopened in April 2026. Table tennis is at a venue in Toyota City, and wheelchair tennis is at the Higashiyama Park tennis centre in Nagoya.
Powerlifting is held at a trade and industry centre in central Nagoya. The sport pages on the official site describe each venue, so a fan can see where to look for each Pakistani athlete.

How to follow Pakistan at the Games
The organisers publish a competition schedule, live results and a medal table on their website. Pakistan's Asian Games run earlier this month is set out in the Pakistan medal tally from the Asian Games, which is a separate event.
- Open the official Asian Para Games website and choose your sport.
- Look up the event, then add the class code to your search.
- Convert the Japan time to PKT by subtracting four hours.
- Check live results on the site after the event.

What we could not confirm
We did not find a list of the 16 names on an official Pakistan page. The Pakistan Sports Board home page we opened showed no item about the Games. We also did not confirm a Pakistani television broadcaster for the Games.
What reported means in this article
Reported means the fact comes from a press report that we could not match to an official Pakistan page. The Games dates, sports and venues come from the organisers. The team size, the four sports and the name Haider Ali are reported, so treat them with care.
We use this word because the figure of 16 may count officials as well as athletes. If an official team list is published by a Pakistan sports body, the numbers on this page may change. Until then, we do not state the number of athletes as a fact.
- Official: the dates, 18 to 24 October 2026, and the host area of Aichi-Nagoya.
- Official: the sports and venues listed on the organisers' sport pages.
- Reported: 16 members, the four sports and Haider Ali as lead athlete.
- Not found: a list of names on an official Pakistan page.
