Pakistan Embassy Bahrain Attestation Fee: BD 2 per Document, Power of Attorney Papers and Timings
Pakistan Embassy Bahrain attestation fee: BD 2 per document, same day. See the power of attorney papers, two witness rule, timings and the consular number.

The Pakistan Embassy in Bahrain charges BD 2 for each document it attests, and most attestations are done the same day. Hand in papers from 8:00 am to 12:00 noon and collect them from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Consular queries go to +973 1724 4113, extension 109.
A power of attorney needs more than a stamp. You sign and give your thumbprint at the embassy, in front of an officer, with two witnesses. We read the embassy's attestation, passport, community welfare and contact pages on 7 November 2026, and below is what each paper needs.
Bahrain embassy attestation costs BD 2 per document
The Manama embassy lists one rate: BD 2 for each document. Attestation is done the same day, and miscellaneous certificates are ready the next working day. Book your appointment first, and hand papers in before noon so you can collect them that afternoon.
| What | Embassy's answer |
|---|---|
| Fee | BD 2 for each document |
| Attestation time | Same day |
| Miscellaneous certificates | Next working day |
| Papers accepted | 8:00 am to 12:00 noon |
| Papers returned | 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm |
BD 2 per document adds up quickly. A family bringing a nikah nama and two degrees would pay BD 6 by that rule. The page gives no separate price for a power of attorney, so we read it as BD 2 as well. Confirm that on the phone first.

A power of attorney made in Bahrain needs two witnesses
You and two witnesses sign and give thumbprints at the embassy, before an authorised officer. Bring your NICOP or CNIC, passport and CPR, each with a copy, two photos, the text of the document, and a copy of your nominee's CNIC.
Each witness brings their own NICOP or CNIC, passport and CPR, originals and copies, plus one photo. The text can be on Bahraini legal paper or plain paper. Any papers connected to the power of attorney, such as a property record, should come with you too.
- Print the power of attorney text on Bahraini legal paper or plain paper.
- Copy your NICOP or CNIC, passport and CPR, and get two photos.
- Get a copy of your nominee's CNIC.
- Bring two witnesses with their own papers and one photo each.
- Book your slot, and arrive before noon.
- Sign and thumbprint in front of the officer.
The embassy also points to NADRA's online route at poa.nadra.gov.pk. If you own land in Pakistan and a dispute has started, the special court for overseas Pakistanis' property cases in Punjab is often the next stop after the power of attorney.

Papers from Pakistan need the Foreign Ministry stamp first
A power of attorney, nikah nama or degree issued in Pakistan must first be attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Islamabad or a camp office in Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar or Quetta. Degrees also need HEC or IBCC attestation before that.
The order for education papers is fixed: HEC for degrees or IBCC for school certificates, then the Foreign Ministry, then the embassy. Skip one and you start again. For a nikah nama, follow the steps to attest a nikah nama at the Foreign Ministry, and bring your and your spouse's CNIC, NICOP or passport copies.
An Arabic translation of the nikah nama is a separate job. A registered translator in Bahrain does the Arabic, and Bahrain's Foreign Ministry countersigns it. The English translation goes to Pakistan's Foreign Ministry. Papers issued in Bahrain go to Bahrain's Foreign Ministry for attestation.
Five other papers the embassy attests have their own lists
The four name letter, authority letter, divorce paper, nikah nama and education papers each have a set list. A divorce paper is the hardest, because it needs a special power of attorney, a divorce notice, and two witnesses signing at the embassy.
| Paper | What to bring |
|---|---|
| Four name letter | Form, CNIC or NICOP, passport, FRC, birth certificate, CPR, parents' ID or passport copies. Marriage papers if married |
| Authority letter | Text on plain or Bahraini paper, NICOP or CNIC, passport, CPR, one photo, nominee's CNIC copy |
| Nikah nama | Original with Foreign Ministry stamp, both spouses' ID or passport copies |
| Divorce paper | Special power of attorney, divorce notice, marriage certificate copy, two witnesses |
| Degrees and certificates | HEC or IBCC stamp, then Foreign Ministry stamp, plus ID or passport copy |
The embassy also warns that doubtful papers go to the Foreign Ministry in Pakistan for checking, and it will tell you when that happens. So a paper that looks odd can take far longer than a day. Give yourself time if a visa or job depends on it.

Reach the embassy by phone before you take leave from work
The consular section answers on +973 1724 4113, extension 109. Other lines are +973 1725 5960 and +973 1726 3807. The embassy is at Building 35, Road 1901, Block 319, Diplomatic Area, Manama, and appointments are booked online.
Bookings go through the Foreign Ministry's appointment page, and online NADRA slots run on their own timetable. For card work, the NICOP renewal papers in Manama are listed separately. Workers with an employer problem should not wait on the embassy alone: the Expat Protection Centre on 995 is Bahrain's own complaint line.
Suggestions and complaints about the service go to the embassy's email, parepbahrain@mofa.gov.pk.

How we verified this
What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.
We read the Embassy of Pakistan in Bahrain's attestation page, consular page, community welfare page and contact page on 7 November 2026. The page gives one flat rate, and our BD 6 example is our own arithmetic. We did not attest a paper or call the embassy.
