A Pakistani passport in the UAE costs AED 110 for 36 pages and 5 years on ordinary processing, and AED 160 for 10 years, at both the Consulate General in Dubai and the Embassy in Abu Dhabi. Urgent processing is AED 180 for 5 years and AED 270 for 10. The top of the list is AED 2,600, for an urgent 100 page, 10 year book after a second loss.

Both missions publish the same table, which we read on 24 October 2026. Below is every row, what children and newborns must bring, the Dubai token hours that decide whether you get seen that day, and two quirks in the table that are worth asking about before you pay.

Pakistani passport fee in UAE for 5 years

For a 5 year passport, the missions charge AED 110 for 36 pages on ordinary processing and AED 180 urgent. The 72 and 100 page books, which Dubai offers when your old passport is full, cost AED 200 to AED 435. Loss fees sit in separate columns.

Pakistani passport fee in UAE for 10 years

For a 10 year passport, a 36 page book costs AED 160 on ordinary processing and AED 270 urgent. A 72 page book costs AED 300 or AED 485, and a 100 page book AED 325 or AED 650. The urgent 100 page fee after a second loss is AED 2,600.

100 pages, ordinaryAED 325AED 650AED 1,300

On these prices the 10 year, 36 page book costs AED 16 a year against AED 22 a year for the 5 year one. That is our arithmetic, and it makes the 10 year passport the better buy for any adult. The same holds at home, where the 10 year passport fee in Pakistan is also lower per year.

Two quirks in the UAE fee table to check at the counter

First, both missions still title the table "MRP", the old machine readable passport. Second, the 10 year loss fees do not follow the double and four times rule used elsewhere in the table. Ask which figure applies before you pay.

On the first point, Pakistan has been moving issuance to the e-passport, and the reported end of MRP issuance on 15 October 2026 is something we could not find on the DGI&P pages we read. The Dubai consulate posted an "E-Passport Updates" item on 19 July 2026, but we could not read its content. So the AED table may now apply to e-passports, or a new one may follow.

On the second point, the 5 year columns double and roughly quadruple neatly: AED 110, AED 220, AED 435. The 10 year columns do not. A 36 page ordinary book goes AED 160, AED 325, then AED 545, not about AED 640. An urgent one goes AED 270, AED 650, AED 1,085. We report the figures exactly as both missions print them.

Documents for adults, children and newborns

Adults bring their original passport and a valid CNIC, NICOP or smart card, each with a photocopy. For anyone under 18, both parents must come in person with their own passports and ID cards. Newborns need a birth certificate attested by the UAE foreign ministry and a NICOP.

  • Adults: original passport and valid CNIC, NICOP or smart card, with copies. Dual nationals add the foreign passport.
  • Children: both parents' passports and CNIC or NICOP, the child's passport and Form B or NICOP, with both parents present.
  • Separated parents: court custody papers attested by the foreign ministries of Pakistan and the UAE.
  • Newborns: birth certificate attested by the UAE foreign ministry, the child's NICOP, both parents' passports and ID cards, both parents present.
  • One foreign parent: an NOC or sworn affidavit attested by that parent's embassy or consulate.

That newborn NICOP comes first, so start with the NICOP application on the PakID app. Parents who are apart should read how a child's passport works when parents are separated before booking. And keep your own Emirates ID current, because a lapse brings its own AED 20 a day late fine.

Dubai consulate token times decide if you are seen that day

The Dubai consulate issues passport tokens Monday to Thursday from 7 am to 1 pm, and on Friday from 7 am to 11 am. NADRA work there is by prior appointment only. Arrive early, since tokens stop at those times.

  1. Check the fee for your page count and validity in the tables above.
  2. Gather originals and copies for every applicant.
  3. Reach the mission before token time ends, with all family members needed.
  4. Take a token, give biometrics and pay the fee.
  5. Track the passport on the consulate's document tracking page.
Steps to apply for a Pakistani passport at the Dubai consulate or Abu Dhabi embassy

The consulate is at 2 11th Street, off Khalid Bin Al Waleed Road, Umm Hurair One, Dubai, phone 04 397 3600. Its website has a passport tracking tool that takes your application details. Once the file reaches Pakistan, the usual passport tracking by token and SMS works as well.

For a plain renewal you can skip the queue. DGI&P's online passport portal takes renewals from overseas Pakistanis, with card payment and email updates, and the fee is not refundable once paid.

How we verified this

What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.

We read the Consulate General of Pakistan Dubai fee page and the Embassy of Pakistan Abu Dhabi passport page on 24 October 2026, plus Dubai's documents page and token notice. We could not read Dubai's e-passport update, confirm whether the "MRP" table now covers e-passports, or find delivery times in the UAE. The per year costs are our arithmetic.
