Rehman Medical Institute (RMI) in Peshawar runs its OPD from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, and 9am to 1pm on Saturday, according to its own FAQ. To book, call 091-5838666, message RMI on WhatsApp, or use the request form on its website. The emergency is open 24 hours. The general number is 111-734-626 (111 REH MAN), and the hospital is at 5-B/2, Phase V, Hayatabad.

RMI is a private hospital, but it is also on the Sehat Card Plus list, so most Khyber Pakhtunkhwa families can be admitted there free. Below you will find the timings, the booking routes, what to bring, how lab reports work and how Sehat Card patients are handled. We read RMI's website and the Sehat Card Plus hospital list on 25 October 2026.

RMI Peshawar OPD runs 9am to 5pm on weekdays and 9am to 1pm on Saturday

RMI's FAQ gives OPD hours of 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, and 9am to 1pm on Saturday. Its emergency services work 24 hours a day, including weekends and public holidays. Sunday is emergency only.

ServiceDaysHours
OPDMonday to Friday9:00am to 5:00pm
OPDSaturday9:00am to 1:00pm

RMI's separate OPD page says more than 100 consultants' clinics run in both the morning and the evening. That suggests some doctors sit after 5pm, so the FAQ hours are best read as the core schedule. Ask for your doctor's exact slot when you book.

Book an RMI appointment by phone, WhatsApp or online form

RMI's FAQ lists three booking routes: the online request form, a call to 091-5838666, and WhatsApp. Each clinic also has its own reception that confirms appointments. The general number 111-734-626 handles all other enquiries.

  1. Decide the speciality, or the doctor if a relative has already seen one.
  2. Call 091-5838666, or send a WhatsApp message through the link on RMI's FAQ page.
  3. Give the patient's name, CNIC and mobile number, and ask for the fee.
  4. Note the date, time and clinic, and arrive early enough to register before the slot.
  5. For a call back, submit a query on RMI's portal; the hospital says staff respond within 24 hours.

Procedures and operations are not booked directly. The RMI FAQ page says every procedure or surgery is booked after a consultation, with the doctor guiding the next step.

Steps to book an appointment at Rehman Medical Institute Peshawar

Bring your original CNIC, old reports and a medicine list

RMI asks patients to bring an original CNIC, or a B-Form for a child, plus previous medical records and reports and a list of current medicines. Without the original CNIC, a Sehat Card patient cannot be checked at the panel desk.

  • Original CNIC of the patient, or B-Form for a child.
  • Old prescriptions, lab reports, x-rays and scans.
  • A written list of medicines and doses.
  • The head of family's CNIC as well, for maternity cases on the Sehat Card.

RMI does not publish consultation fees on its website. Fees differ by consultant, so ask when you book.

RMI accepts the Sehat Card for admission, not for routine OPD

RMI is listed as empanelled on the Sehat Card Plus Khyber Pakhtunkhwa hospital list. Its panel desk serves cash patients, Sehat Card patients and more than 70 panel organisations, and runs 24 hours. Under the programme rules, the card pays for admission, while ordinary OPD visits are paid by the patient.

The Sehat Card Plus admission process says OPD consultation and test costs are borne by the patient. If the doctor admits you, the Sehat Card counter checks your CNIC and balance, and the hospital should return any consultation or test fee charged before admission. Confirm that the hospital refunds it at discharge.

Patient typeHow RMI handles it
Cash patientPay at cash counters, by ATM card or online transfer
Sehat Card Plus patientFree admission up to the card balance, CNIC checked at the desk
Panel employeeApproval from your employer's contact person, discounts per agreement
Needy patientRelief panels with discounts, assessed by the hospital

To confirm your own family is covered before you go, follow the steps to check KP Sehat Card Plus eligibility by SMS. If the desk refuses a valid card, the Sehat Card helpline is 0800-89898.

How Rehman Medical Institute Peshawar handles cash, Sehat Card, panel and needy patients

Lab reports are online with the login printed on your receipt

RMI shows lab reports online. Its FAQ says the username and password are written on your cash receipt, and you enter them on the laboratory reports page of its website. Keep the receipt safe until the report is ready.

A lost receipt means a trip back to the lab counter, so take a phone photo of it before leaving. RMI also lists homecare services, including nurse visits, lab sample collection and physiotherapy at home, depending on availability.

Other Peshawar hospitals on the same Sehat Card list

The Sehat Card Plus list shows 22 Peshawar hospitals, and 20 of them were marked empanelled when we read it. Government teaching hospitals such as Khyber Teaching Hospital, Lady Reading Hospital and Hayatabad Medical Complex charge far less for OPD than a private hospital.

The Khyber Teaching Hospital OPD timings and clinic days are a useful comparison if cost matters more than a specific RMI consultant. Other private hospitals on the Peshawar list include Kuwait Teaching Hospital, Prime Teaching Hospital, Naseer Teaching Hospital and Peshawar Institute of Medical Sciences.

How we verified this

What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.

Last checked 25 October 2026. We read Rehman Medical Institute's FAQ, contact, consultants' OPD, accident and emergency, and panel affairs pages on rmi.edu.pk, and the Sehat Card Plus empanelled hospital list and admission process on sehatsahulat.com.pk, on 25 October 2026. The FAQ gives 9am to 5pm while the OPD page mentions evening clinics, and we report both. RMI's separate Sehat Card page blocked our connection, and the hospital does not publish fees, so we could not confirm prices or its Sehat Card desk hours beyond the panel page. This page is information only; for medical advice, speak to a doctor.
