Serene Air Refund and Change Fees in Pakistan: Rs 3,500 to Cancel, Rs 3,000 to Change a Domestic Ticket
Serene Air charges Rs 3,500 to refund and Rs 3,000 to change a domestic ticket, or Rs 5,000 and Rs 4,500 after a no-show. See the Gulf rates and 29 day limit.

Short answer: Cancelling a Serene Air domestic ticket costs Rs 3,500 per flight if you do it more than 4 hours before departure, and Rs 5,000 if you cancel later or do not show up. Changing the date costs Rs 3,000 before the 4 hour cut-off and Rs 4,500 after it, plus any fare difference. On a return ticket both charges are doubled because they apply per flight segment.
We read Serene Air's refund and exchange policy on sereneair.com on 19 October 2026. The policy covers every route the airline flies, inside Pakistan and to the Gulf, Saudi Arabia and China, and the charges differ by where the journey starts. The one rule that catches most people is the ticket's life: Serene Air says every ticket expires 29 days after the flight date, and an expired ticket cannot be refunded, cancelled or changed.
Domestic refunds cost Rs 3,500 early and Rs 5,000 late
On a domestic ticket, whether Economy or Serene Plus, the refund charge is Rs 3,500 per segment when you cancel more than 4 hours before departure. Inside the last 4 hours, or if you simply miss the flight, the charge rises to Rs 5,000. The rest of the fare comes back to you.

Take a Lahore to Karachi fare of Rs 16,525, the lowest starting fare the airline listed for Lahore on 19 October 2026. Cancel it the day before and you get back Rs 13,025. Miss the flight and claim afterwards and you get Rs 11,525. On a cheap fare the no-show penalty is close to a third of what you paid, which is why cancelling early matters even when you are not sure of your plans.
| Domestic ticket, per segment | More than 4 hours before departure | Later, or no-show |
|---|---|---|
| Refund charge | Rs 3,500 | Rs 5,000 |
| Change charge | Rs 3,000 | Rs 4,500 |
A date change costs Rs 3,000 plus the fare difference
Changing a domestic flight costs Rs 3,000 per segment before the 4 hour cut-off and Rs 4,500 after it. You also pay any difference between what you paid and the fare on the new date. The airline does not guarantee the same fare, and the new booking must be in the same or a higher fare class.
That last line matters in practice. If you bought a promotional fare and the new date has only regular fares left, you pay the change fee and the full jump to the regular fare. A refund and a fresh booking can work out cheaper than a change when fares on the new date are low, so compare both before you call. Tickets are not transferable to another person and cannot be endorsed to another airline.
For the airline's cheaper rival on the same trunk routes, the Fly Jinnah cancellation and change fees follow a similar shape with different numbers.
International charges run from Rs 7,500 to Rs 25,000 by origin
From Pakistan to the UAE or Saudi Arabia, a refund costs Rs 7,500 per segment before departure and Rs 10,000 for a no-show. A change costs Rs 6,000 before and Rs 8,000 after. From Pakistan to China the refund charge is Rs 20,000 early and Rs 25,000 late, and a change Rs 15,000 or Rs 25,000.

Tickets bought in the Gulf or Saudi Arabia are charged in local currency. From the UAE to Pakistan a refund is AED 125 early or AED 175 late, and a change AED 100 or AED 150. From Saudi Arabia the refund is SAR 175 or SAR 275 and the change SAR 100 or SAR 150. From China the refund is CNY 600 or CNY 700 and the change CNY 500 or CNY 700.
| Journey starts in | Refund, early / late | Change, early / late |
|---|---|---|
| Pakistan, to UAE or Saudi Arabia | Rs 7,500 / Rs 10,000 | Rs 6,000 / Rs 8,000 |
| Pakistan, to China | Rs 20,000 / Rs 25,000 | Rs 15,000 / Rs 25,000 |
| UAE | AED 125 / AED 175 | AED 100 / AED 150 |
| Saudi Arabia | SAR 175 / SAR 275 | SAR 100 / SAR 150 |
| China | CNY 600 / CNY 700 | CNY 500 / CNY 700 |
Tickets issued by travel agents through a global distribution system carry a separate dollar based scale, for example USD 13 to refund a domestic coupon early and USD 18 late, and the airline says those amounts move with the exchange rate. If you booked through an agent, ask the agent which scale applies to your ticket.
A delay of more than 2 hours cancels the charge
Serene Air waives the refund charge in full when a domestic flight is delayed by more than 2 hours, or brought forward by more than 1 hour, and you choose a refund instead of flying. On international flights the trigger is a delay of more than 5 hours or a flight moved earlier by more than 1 hour. The charge is also waived if the passenger dies.
Beyond the waiver, the airline's passenger rights page gives you a full refund of the unused ticket on any flight delayed more than 5 hours if you decide not to travel, and the choice of rebooking or a refund if the flight is cancelled. What the law requires of every carrier is set out in the flight delay and cancellation rules in Pakistan, and Serene Air's own check-in deadlines and delay rights are covered separately.

Cancel the booking first, then apply within 29 days
Refunds must be applied for while the ticket is still valid, which means within 29 days of the flight date. For an automatic refund through the website the booking has to be cancelled first; the airline warns that misuse of the auto-refund route brings additional charges. The page does not say how many days a refund takes to reach your card or account.
- Decide whether you want a refund or a new date, and check the fare on the new date before choosing.
- Cancel the booking through the Serene Air website, app or call centre on 111 737 363 more than 4 hours before departure if you can.
- Apply for the refund at once, and in any case within 29 days of the original flight date.
- Keep the cancellation confirmation and booking reference until the money arrives.
- If the flight was delayed or cancelled by the airline, say so when you apply, because the charge is waived.
Fares themselves are published as "from" prices that change by date, and the AirSial refund and helpline details show how another private carrier handles the same steps.

Common questions
How much does Serene Air charge to cancel a domestic ticket?

What is the Serene Air date change fee?
Rs 3,000 per domestic segment before the 4 hour cut-off and Rs 4,500 after it, plus any fare difference. From Pakistan to the UAE or Saudi Arabia it is Rs 6,000 or Rs 8,000.

Yes. The refund charge is waived on a domestic flight delayed more than 2 hours and on an international flight delayed more than 5 hours, or on any flight brought forward by more than 1 hour.
How long is a Serene Air ticket valid for a refund?
29 days from the flight date. After that the ticket expires and cannot be refunded, cancelled or changed.
Can I give my Serene Air ticket to someone else?
No. Tickets are non-transferable and non-endorsable, so the name on the booking cannot be changed to another passenger.

Yes. Agent tickets issued through a global distribution system use a dollar scale per coupon, for example USD 13 early and USD 18 late on a domestic ticket, which moves with the exchange rate.
How we verified this
What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.
We read Serene Air's refund and exchange policy at sereneair.com/policy_refund and its passenger rights page at sereneair.com/rights_pax on 19 October 2026, and the starting fares on the airline's home page at sereneair.com the same day. Every charge above is the airline's own figure. The worked example uses the Rs 16,525 "from" fare for Lahore shown that day and our own subtraction. The policy does not state how many days a refund takes to arrive, and we could not confirm whether the 4 hour cut-off is counted from scheduled or actual departure. The airline's two listed call centre numbers, 111 737 363 and 051-111-737-363, differ in format and we did not call either.
