TDCP Coaster Rent in Punjab: Bus, Coaster and Hi-Ace Hire Prices, Booking and Refund Rules (2026 List)
TDCP rents a 27-seat coaster from Rs 18,000, a 35-seat bus from Rs 27,000 and a Hi-Ace from Rs 14,000 in Punjab. See booking steps, refunds and hidden costs.

You can hire a TDCP coaster in Punjab from Rs 18,000, a 35-seat bus from Rs 27,000 and a 16-seat Hi-Ace from Rs 14,000, each with an air-conditioned vehicle and a driver. The Tourism Development Corporation of Punjab (TDCP) takes bookings online and gives a full refund if you cancel at least 48 hours before departure. That makes it a useful option for school trips, wedding parties and family tours to Murree or the north.
We read TDCP's transport fleet page on 25 October 2026. Below are the three vehicles and their prices, the cost per seat, the cancellation rule, how to book, and the questions to settle before you pay, because TDCP's page leaves fuel, tolls and overnight charges unsaid.
TDCP rents a bus, a coaster and a Hi-Ace, from Rs 14,000
TDCP lists three vehicles for hire: a bus for 35 guests from Rs 27,000, a coaster for 27 guests from Rs 18,000, and a Hi-Ace van for 16 guests from Rs 14,000. All three are air-conditioned and come with a driver.
| Vehicle | Seats | Starting price | Cost per seat (our arithmetic) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bus | 35 | Rs 27,000 | About Rs 771 |
| Coaster | 27 | Rs 18,000 | About Rs 667 |
| Hi-Ace van | 16 | Rs 14,000 | Rs 875 |
On a full load, the coaster is the cheapest per seat. The Hi-Ace costs the most per head but is easier on narrow hill roads and for a group of 10 to 16. Those per-seat numbers are ours, worked from TDCP's starting prices.
TDCP does not say whether the price is per day, per trip or per kilometre. Treat "from Rs 18,000" as the lowest fare for the shortest booking, and expect a longer or farther trip to cost more.

TDCP's coaster suits groups of 16 to 27
For 17 to 27 people, the 27-seat coaster at Rs 18,000 is the natural pick. Below 16, the Hi-Ace at Rs 14,000 is cheaper overall. Above 27, you need the 35-seat bus at Rs 27,000, or two smaller vehicles.
A school class of 30 children and three teachers fits one bus. A family wedding party of 20 fits a coaster with room for bags. Two families of eight each fill one Hi-Ace exactly, though the luggage will not thank you.
Ask TDCP how much luggage space each vehicle has. A Hi-Ace with 16 people often has little room for bags on a long trip, and roof racks are not mentioned on the page.
Cancel 48 hours ahead for a full refund
TDCP's FAQ says cancellations made 48 hours or more before departure get a full refund. Changes inside 48 hours may carry a fee, and all changes are subject to TDCP's policy.
Get the same rule in writing if you book by phone. It also means you should decide by two days before. If rain or a road closure looks likely, cancel early rather than on the morning of the trip.
Before a hill trip, check the road. The road status for Naran, Swat and Chitral changes quickly once the snow season starts, and a booking moved early is cheaper than one moved late.

How to book a TDCP bus or coaster online
Open TDCP's booking portal, choose the vehicle type, your travel dates and destination, enter the passenger details and confirm. TDCP names Murree, Nathia Gali, Lahore, Islamabad, Skardu, Hunza and Khanspur among the destinations it serves.
- Open the transport fleet page on TDCP's site and press "Book Now" on the vehicle you want.
- On the booking portal, choose the vehicle type, your dates and the destination.
- Enter the passenger details asked for.
- Check the final price on the summary screen. It may differ from the "from" price.
- Confirm and pay, then save the booking confirmation.
- Call TDCP on 051-3357066 or the 1421 helpline a day before to confirm the pickup time and place.
TDCP also says corporate and government routes are available on request. For an office trip, email info@tdcp.gop.pk with the dates, route and headcount.
Ask about fuel, tolls and overnight stays before you pay
TDCP's fleet page does not mention fuel charges, motorway tolls, the driver's food and stay, or overnight charges. Ask TDCP to confirm each in writing, because on a multi-day trip these can add thousands to the bill.
Tolls are the easiest to estimate yourself. A coaster pays a higher toll than a car on the motorway and national highways, and the national highway toll rates list the class rates by plaza. Ask whether the toll is inside TDCP's price or paid by your group on the road.
For a trip to Skardu or Hunza, ask how many days the driver will stay, who pays for his room and meals, and whether the price covers the return empty run. TDCP's page is silent on all three, so do not assume.
One more small point. The FAQ mentions luxury coaches, SUVs and GPS tracking, but the vehicle cards show only the bus, the coaster and the Hi-Ace. If you need an SUV, ask by phone.

How we verified this
What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.
We read TDCP's transport fleet page at tdcp.gop.pk/fleet on 25 October 2026. It listed the bus (35 guests, from Rs 27,000), the coaster (27 guests, from Rs 18,000) and the Hi-Ace van (16 guests, from Rs 14,000), each with AC and a driver, and an FAQ with the booking steps, the destinations, and the 48-hour full refund rule. The page does not say whether prices are per day or per trip, and does not mention fuel, tolls, driver allowance or overnight charges, so we could not confirm those. The per-seat figures are our arithmetic.
