Xbox Game Pass is not officially available in Pakistan: Microsoft's own list of supported countries and regions does not include Pakistan for any Game Pass plan, Xbox console or Xbox cloud gaming. We read that list on 24 October 2026. Pakistan is not on it at all, while India, the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Turkey are.

That does not stop Pakistani gamers from using Xbox, but it changes the risks. Below you will find what Microsoft supports in nearby countries, plan by plan, why a foreign-region account can break, and the official ways to play PC games from Pakistan instead.

Microsoft's Xbox region list does not include Pakistan

Microsoft publishes an "Xbox Supported Countries and Regions" page with a country filter. We read its data file on 24 October 2026. It covers 88 country and language entries, and none of them is Pakistan.

The page says that if your country is not on the list, you should "check back with us soon", because Microsoft expands its services and may come to your country in the near future. So the official status today is simple: no Game Pass Ultimate, no PC Game Pass, no Game Pass for console and no cloud gaming for Pakistan.

Nearby countries show what an official launch looks like

India has every Xbox service on the list, including cloud gaming. The UAE and Saudi Arabia have every Game Pass plan but no cloud gaming. Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and Egypt have PC Game Pass only.

PC Game Pass is the widest. Microsoft marks it supported in 87 of the 88 entries on its list. Pakistan is simply absent, so it is not counted either way.

A foreign-region account works until billing or support is needed

Many Pakistani players set their Microsoft account to another country, such as the UAE or the United States, and buy Game Pass there. That can work for a while. The trouble starts at payment and at support.

The region you choose decides which cards and prices Microsoft offers. A Pakistani card may be refused in a foreign store, and gift codes for one region generally will not redeem on an account set to another. If a payment fails, or the account is flagged, you are asking for help with an account that does not match where you live.

The same problem exists on PlayStation, which also has no Pakistan region. We set out the rules and the failure points in detail when we looked at PlayStation Network accounts in Pakistan. The logic carries over to Xbox.

  • Codes from resellers: a code bought from a social media seller can be used, revoked or region-locked, and nobody official can refund it.
  • Shared accounts: "Game Pass for Rs 500 a month on our account" offers put your games on someone else's login. They can take it back at any time.
  • Cloud gaming: it is not offered in Pakistan, and even on a foreign account the nearest servers are far away, so lag is likely.

Steam and other PC stores are the official routes from Pakistan

If you game on a PC, the easiest official route is a store that sells to Pakistan. Steam charges Pakistan in US dollars at a regional price and takes Pakistani Visa and Mastercard cards, which we covered when we looked at paying for Steam games in Pakistan.

For a console, the choice is harder because neither Microsoft nor Sony lists Pakistan. Consoles are sold here through importers and shops, and our look at the best gaming consoles in Pakistan compares the options. Whichever you buy, the online store behind it will be a foreign region.

How to check the status yourself

Microsoft updates its region list without notice, so check it again before you pay for anything. It takes one minute.

  1. Open xbox.com and go to the Supported Countries and Regions page, linked from the Xbox support footer.
  2. Choose the Countries/Regions tab and type Pakistan in the search box.
  3. If it says "No country/region found", Pakistan is still not supported.
  4. Switch to the Products/Services tab and choose Xbox Game Pass to see every country where each plan is supported.
  5. If Pakistan appears one day, sign up with a Pakistan account rather than a foreign one.
Steps to check whether Xbox Game Pass is available in your country

Safety warning: any site selling a "Pakistan Game Pass" or "lifetime Game Pass" is not Microsoft. Pay only on xbox.com or the Microsoft Store, and never share your Microsoft account password with a seller.

Common questions

Is Xbox Game Pass available in Pakistan?

No. Microsoft's supported countries list, checked on 24 October 2026, does not include Pakistan for any Game Pass plan.

Is PC Game Pass available in Pakistan?

No. PC Game Pass is supported in 87 of the 88 entries on Microsoft's list, including Oman, Qatar and Egypt, but Pakistan is not on the list at all.

Can I use Xbox cloud gaming in Pakistan?

Not officially. Cloud gaming is listed for India and the UK but not for Pakistan, the UAE or Saudi Arabia.

Will my Xbox console work in Pakistan?

The console itself works, and you can play disc games. Online services, the store and Game Pass depend on a Microsoft account set to a supported country, which Pakistan is not.

Will Microsoft launch Game Pass in Pakistan?

Microsoft has not announced it. Its region page only says it expands services frequently and may come to new countries in future.

How we verified this

What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.

We read Microsoft's Xbox Supported Countries and Regions page and the regions data file behind it on 24 October 2026, for every plan and country shown here. We could not read Microsoft's support article on changing an account's country, which returned "page not available", so the account risks above are described in general terms. We did not create or test a foreign-region account.
